Allstate, corporate, usually increases my premium annually, because I stick to the same company, so at one point, I was trying to shop around for the insruance from other major companies.. However, I decided to stick to Allstate because first my coverage & premium is still comparable to other companies after their new client promotion, and second I do not want to work with different agents, instead of Mr. Hong. I…read morehave experience with several other investment companies. 1) Eric didn't follow my directions as to how I wanted my money invested and when I planned to retire. 2) Edward Jones charges fees for things that at other investment management companies are free. 3) Account management, things that are extremely simple and done online in less than a minute at other companies, are an arduous process at Edward Jones. Case in point, changing your beneficiaries. 4) My Edward Jones account seriously underperformed relative to my other accounts (see #1). Specifically, the performance between January of 2016 into the fall of 2017 was so poor (in my estimation), and the response to my complaint about it was so conceited, and so dismissive that that was when I choose to end my relationship with Edward Jones. 5) Directing my account myself, putting my money in something with returns that matched my expectations was expensive (see #2) 6) It cost me about 3% of my account value to roll over my account to another investment company. UPDATE: I got what I thought was a final statement. It turns out Edward Jones didn't rollover the total amount in the account. They shorted it about $51. I still have a login at EJ, but that account is not connected to my login account anymore - just an old one that was terminated about 5 years ago.

I've recently received the following phone message from my State Farm Insurance carrier, telling me…read moreState Farm was not going to renew my homeowners' policy. (Not my agent, his assistant.) "The reason for the non-renewal is just basic claim activity. I know there's two claims in 2022 neither of them out any amount, but we're looking at frequency here, so they still count as two homeowners' claims, you know within the past year or so. So, the underwriting team has decided to non-renew the homeowner's policy, you have until June 29th." I was a bit confused because this was the only two inquiries since 2017 when we started our policy coverage. I called the Washington Insurance Commission to help me understand what just happened. The representative was very helpful. She explained that when you have a question to see if something is covered, do not go to your Home Insurance first, ask the Insurance commission. Some insurance companies base renewability on activity not just claims and State Farm is one of them. The representative advised I might consider a brokerage to solve the issue I'm in right now. I went to Yelp, read the reviews and I called Westphal Insurance and I was not disappointed. Julie is great. I was so worried about not having coverage and she just started working on it immediately and I am so grateful to have found them. Julie gave me comprehensive solutions and educated us on the coverage options we do have. As scary as it got, we are all so grateful and relieved.

Just had dealings with EBA with regards to a collection payment from a utility company I have been…read morewith over 25 years. Yes, they are a collections agency...but I wouldn't be dealing with them had I kept up payments to my oil company. So MY bad in the first place. I found PATTI extremely caring, compassionate, helpful, and kind. She listened to my "story" (which I'm sure she hears dozens of excuses daily). The difference is she treated me as a human, actually listened to what I had to say, (dealing w/cognitive issues due to breast cancer meds and hubby never has paid a bill in 30 years cuz I do it), didn't make me feel like a "bad" person for not paying my bills. She was more that willing to work with me. After a few minutes, we came up with a solution that worked (got the entire bill paid) and we both wished each other a better year and a Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that one never has to deal with any collection agency (but life challenges happens sometimes) however, if you need to, I hope the company sending you to collections sends you to EBA. After hearing my middle name and birthdate they decided they had the wrong person. Totally not me, and obviously not my bill. They told me that this bill was "on my credit report" which was clearly a lie - if it was I would've noticed it when checking my credit report, and to get it they would have already had to gather info such as my birthdate, which, if they are sneaky enough to get a work phone number I've never given out, I think they could find! So, either this is an egregious failure of the employee to do the least bit of research, or they are hoping you will pay bills anyway even if they aren't yours. Do your research before giving this company a single cent.

And with farmers insurance i had charged there fee on my visa. and for now the unused portion of farmers insurance, Casey got on the phone and called farmers insurance, and through his part and my part in talking to farmers representative, my credit card will be credited within three days of the unused portion of farmers insurance, which came to $973.00 dollars.
