Cool spot to see a show. Very comfortable and good sound system. Saw Heathers and it was fun.

Loved this theater, first time. The cast was incredible! Especially the guidance counselor. So cool that these theaters are all next to each other. The bathroom lines were long but we went at a good time. Arrive early to try to be a speller! This show was so fun! We will definitely be back

Went to see a Wednesday matinee of Rolling Thunder. Ticket window person was friendly for my Will Call tickets. Had to go downstairs for Stage 3 (I walked but there is an elevator or escalator). I had to go down two sets of stairs. Restroom at the bottom of the stairs as well as at the other end of the theater - only a few stalls but clean. During intermission, the bar was open. Not sure if it was before the show. I was in the first row by the stage so the sound was super loud for the rock band playing but fine when the actors were speaking or singing mellow songs.

It was a great show !

I watched "The Play That Goes Wrong" at New World Stages with my daughter, and we had a wonderful time. We purchased our tickets at TKTS in Times Square with a 50% discount, which made the experience even better. Our seats were in the second row on the left side, and we were very satisfied. The theater is relatively small, so there really isn't a bad seat in the house--you can enjoy the show from anywhere. The cast was fantastic, with excellent acting skills and great timing. I'm usually not a big fan of comedy, but this show genuinely made me laugh and pulled me right into the performance. I'm giving it 4 stars mainly because the theater felt a bit cold, and since our seats were very close to the stage, some dust from the physical comedy occasionally made my eyes irritated and caused a bit of coughing. Still, it was a very entertaining and memorable experience, and I would recommend it, especially if you enjoy lively, physical comedy.

Always a good set of theatres. So close to Broadway and convenient. Great spaces. Friendly ushers. Aggressive security, but everyone else was nice.

I came here to see "Drag, The Musical" in its preview week. I would review "Drag" itself, but unless it's extended, I don't know that it makes sense to do that. This is a smaller off-Broadway theater with smaller auditoriums/theaters. There are six shows going there right now (from Drag, to some weird bubble show, to Teeth--based on the angry vagina feminist manifesto--and I mean that in the best way possible--and more). Easy entrance. No waiting in a long-ass line like if you're going to see Hadestown or Book of Mormon. Staff are helpful and efficient. Bars are decent, though you're not getting anything special here--just the regular theater fare at increased prices. But I liked having a double cocktail while watching drag, so no complaints here. Easy to access bathrooms, clean and open, not too cramped. Shows here are pretty affordable. I paid over 150 for my seat ahead of time for Drag, but someone next to me rushed and got a similar seat for 39 dollars. I'm just anxious and like to have my plans well in advance. The best seats for Drag are the second and third row of tables, so you can fully see the runway. The best that was available when I purchased were the stage side seats, which were great . . . but involved a little (literally, just a little) neck extension, and I had to turn behind me to see the little bit of runway action. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. Happy, joyful, accepting. Loved it. And while I am not a New Kids on the Block fan, Joey McIntyre was the straight cis het male character here, and I had no idea until afterward. But he did a great job and the whole cast was a blast. Very funny. I will definitely be keeping an eye out on this smaller off-Broadway venue to see excellent material without all the hassle and the fuss!

I love this facility! There are five stages there. I went to see "A sign of the times" in Stage 1 and I can say that every seat was a great seat with a excellent view. The facility itself is clean and the workers are nice. The women's bathroom could have had more stalls, but it handled the traffic decently and it was maintained well. I highly recommend watching any production at the New World Stages. On a sidenote, the show was excellent! It had a great storyline, and I enjoyed listening to the songs. Watch it before its run ends!

I'm very fortunate and super blessed to be able to watch Broadway Musicals & Plays in New York. The first time I watched a show at New World Stages was several years ago when School of Rock became a NYC Off Broadway Musical back in 2015. Last week Monday, I was wondering if maybe Lottery/Rush tickets were available on telecharge.com. I put in a bid for a couple of shows for lottery tickets. To no avail, I did not win any. Decided on purchasing online tickets for the best price possible. Lowest price tickets were scattered throughout the theater, and for a seat with a good view I purchased Left Orchestra Row C at a very good price! New World Stages is right in the middle of Times Square Theatre District between 50th & 51st Streets. There is free WiFi, multiple theaters, multiple levels, and very New looking. Staircases and escalators with Concession stands downstairs serving drinks and snacks. Extremely clean and sanitary restroom facilities. Best of all, 50th Street Station is located right in the same block!

Went to New Stage to see The PLAY That GOES WRONG. New World Stages was a former movie theater that was renovated to accommodate smaller stage plays. I believe there are a total of seven different stages, that slightly vary in size and audience seating capacity. The smaller venue gives a more relaxed and intimate experience with both fellow audience members and the actors on stage. You feel like you are a part of the production especially with The PLAY That GOES WRONG, that encouraged some audience participation at the start. As one who enjoys stage productions I can appreciate smaller productions however the seating is even smaller. Just A Note: I suggest you eat after the show not before if you want a little less snug seating experience. LOL.

This theater houses a few off broadway shows that have not quite made it to broadway yet. I have seen a few shows here and each time I feel the same way about it. Most of the staff are not nice/ not helpful. Downstairs the bathroom does not have doors separating it from the lobby area. There is also no seating area on the second floor. Downstairs there are two bars and some standing tables and some chairs/couches to wait for your show at.They have two bar areas but they only sell drinks. You will have to find the food guys walking around the theaters to purchase a snack. The seats are not made for larger people and are not really comfortable at all. I did have a very pleasant usher who was extremely helpful and checked up on me after a specific scene in the show I saw. I try not to see shows here but it is very hard that alot of shows I do want to see are being played only here.

Love this theater. It's still so new and clean It's very spacious. I wish there were more restaurants in the area. The location is so convenient to everything! I've seen a lot of shows here and will continue to see more!

This review is more for The Play Where Everything Goes Wrong than for New World Stages although the theatre itself is great! It's interesting how there are multiple theaters in the building which makes each theater quite small, but it's cool to be this close up to the actors. I've been to another off-broadway show before and they also didn't have big theaters - I wonder if all Off Broadway shows are like this. Here are some of my favorite bits: - I think it's interesting how most of the show is physical humor. I don't see that as much anymore, so it's kind of nice to witness. - The show is genuinely funny and some parts are just ridiculous. I feel honestly pretty amazed by the actors as I feel like they could easily get hurt playing these parts. - How the scene all fell away at the very end was quite amazing. I didn't expect for the entire set to collapse like that. It must be a headache to clean up but it was honestly amazing. - The actors were amazing! They played the storyline so well. Here are some of parts that were eh: - To be honest the show is quite loud because they use a ton of physical humor in it which is great, but it can catch you off guard quite easily. Maybe it would not be great if you're easily scared by loud noises.

When do doors open for 8:00 show?

You can come in the theater close to the time. We went to dinner then went back at 7:30 pm. We took pictures all around, but that was us.

In stage 3, are orchestra row C seats great? Or too close or do ppls head block our views? Thank you

I don't know your exact seats, but from what I remember, there is such slope everywhere that nobody was in the way

What are the better seats....first 2 rows or further back on orchestra section? They're the same price. Just wondering if the first 2 rows are too close....? TIA

I prefer to sit about 10 rows back on bottom level. The first 2 rows seem to be a bit distracting for me. My wife and I watched Jersey boys about 10 rows back and it was perfect!

Also, you should definitely get the priority tickets. For us it was only $11 extra and it is WELL worth it. The play was amazing! Everybody did such a great job and I really loved Scorpius's character. Of course Tom Felton was there as the original Draco Malfoy, which is the entire reason that we came. If you want to during the play, you can order food to your seat which I thought was cool. The rest of the snacks were good for what they were. We booked through AAA and got a snack bag with popcorn water and a cursed child cup filled with Gummies. Everything was really good. If I could change one thing and I know this is like, "come on" but the seats were kind of uncomfortable. Google says that the Lyric Theatre was redone in 1996. The show was surprisingly modern, and completely captivating from start to finish. The energy in the theater was unreal as everyone, including celebrities, came out to celebrate Megan Thee Stallion in her final performance as Zidler. She was hilarious, quick, and owned that stage in every moment she appeared. Even though I've seen her perform on tour, it felt like such a special experience to witness. We soaked in the city, took in some sights, and of course grabbed a slice while we were there. I am beyond grateful to my husband for such an incredible and thoughtful gift. Even though it's a non-traditional spin on the character, she infuses the role with her signature "hot girl" energy and is a total joy to watch on stage. Despite her massive personality, she manages not to overshadow the rest of the cast. I think that speaks volumes about the group's chemistry... she fits right in without upstaging anyone. Since it's a jukebox musical anyway, having Meg perform some of her own hits while the rest of the company joined in was a great touch. Having seen the original cast in the 2019 Moulin Rouge production, which was also wonderful, I'm really glad I got to experience both interpretations.
