After my surgery, this company provided some of the worst service I've experienced…read more An RN contacted me around 3:30 PM saying he needed to come for a visit. I explained that I would be available around 6-6:30 PM, and he said he could not come after that. When patients already wait weeks for appointments, expecting someone to suddenly be available within a very short notice window is unacceptable. The next day was Sunday. I understood when they explained they normally do not provide service on Sundays, and I was told someone would come Monday instead. After some back and forth and several unsuccessful calls, I received a message saying someone else from the office would come because the original RN was busy. I texted them around 8 AM and waited all day without any updates. Nobody contacted me again. After following up multiple times myself, they finally called to say they had nobody available to come. I explained how serious the situation was and how scared and stressed I was because I had just gone through surgery and still had not received any visit or proper care. Instead of helping, they kept delaying and giving excuses like "give us another hour." Later they even tried blaming me, claiming I had canceled the original appointment, which was completely false. I asked for a supervisor to contact me because at that point I honestly did not know what else to do. Nobody ever called back. In the end, I had to drive myself in my post-surgery condition just to find care somewhere else. No patient recovering from surgery should be left feeling abandoned and forced into that situation. This may be acceptable in some industries, but not in healthcare where patients are recovering from surgery and depending on proper care. I truly hope neither they nor their own family members ever have to experience this kind of treatment while recovering from surgery.

I listened, tried to identify what was happening, and followed the chain of command at his residence. Unfortunately, nothing was resolved. I kept looking for someone who could help, and that led me to Only Care Home Health. I honestly had no idea who I needed to speak with or where to begin. When I called, Roxy answered the phone. She asked how she could help, and I explained what my brother had been going through. She listened carefully and treated my concerns as important. She was kind, caring, and ready to help. Within about five minutes, she was able to resolve the main issue that had been causing my brother so much stress. I have worked with people my entire life. As a retired family therapist and behaviorist, I have learned to recognize when someone genuinely cares. Roxy is one of those people. She has a natural warmth and compassion that cannot be taught. I am truly thankful that I reached her today. She helped my brother, but she also gave me peace of mind. Knowing that someone listened and took action meant more to me than I can fully express. Only Care Home Health is very fortunate to have Roxy. Thank you, Roxy, for your kindness, your concern, and for helping my brother when he needed it. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give Only Care Home Health a 1,000.

I cannot say enough good things about this caregiving service. My father came home from a skilled…read morenursing facility needing some additional support while he continued to recover medically. At first, we arranged companion care, which included medication reminders, transportation to appointments, and, just as importantly, having someone there to keep him company. As he improved and became more independent, the agency was able to adjust the level of care accordingly. We eventually moved to On Demand Care, primarily for transportation to appointments. I really appreciated that the care evolved with his needs rather than keeping him at a level of service he no longer required. The flexibility to adjust the care as his needs changed was incredibly valuable to us. Most of the caregivers were people he genuinely liked. They were consistently on time, respectful, helpful, and patient with him. Some personalities were a better fit than others, which is natural, but overall he was comfortable with them. I know he would be happy to see many of them if he ran into them out in public. What gave me the most peace of mind was knowing that the caregivers had been vetted through the agency and that I had someone to turn to if an issue ever came up. I communicated with the agency by text, phone, and email, and they were consistently responsive, respectful, and timely. If I had a concern or needed something addressed, they communicated with the caregiver directly. I never felt like I was left to figure things out on my own. I will admit that I was a little unsure in the beginning because of how professional they were. I have been disappointed and, frankly, burned by service providers in the past, so I was cautious. But this agency turned out to be the most prompt, punctual, and professional agency I have ever worked with. Bringing an elderly parent home after a skilled nursing stay can be stressful, and having a reliable caregiving agency made a tremendous difference for us. I am very grateful for the support they provided, the flexibility they showed as my father recovered, and the peace of mind of knowing that there was a professional and responsive team behind the caregivers. I would absolutely recommend this service to other families who need dependable care for an aging parent.
