Hmmm. I'm wondering how many of the five star reviews are from real clients after the experience my family had. Caregivers were frequently late and sometimes didn't even show up. With the exception of one caregiver, the rest were just there to collect a paycheck and do the bare minimum. Mostly on their phones, doing homework, etc. They seemed to have no idea how to put together a balanced meal from the items already prepared and ready in the refrigerator. We ended up throwing away food because they just seemed to grab whatever was at the front. At $42/hour, I would expect more. We moved to another service that was much more professional, experienced, and punctual. read more

New Wave provided care givers for extra support for a family member recovering from surgery in a facility. The first 2 were days, we had 2 excellent women. The next 3 night sifts were a disaster. One just walked out of the facility after a few hours without telling anyone she was leaving. The next evening another woman slept most of the night. And then the next night another woman injured the patient by pushing him on the surgical site. We cancelled service immediately. read more

This is the company you need to choose to support your care needs, be it at home or in a facility. Angie, Susan and Jaysha were the absolute best. The time and care provided to me to help choose a home care provider let alone to determine the best course of care for my mom was above and beyond the call of duty. They are all honest with compassion and the did their best to help prepare me for future steps. Susan helped me to help me navigate the lack of support that I had with my chosen Hospice group. Argh, my mistake - all be it we made it thru together. I recommend that you go with NWHC recommended hospice partners. When my schedule of hours needed to be changed - from 4 hours per day, 5 days a week to 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, NWHC was not phased a bit. They matched me with Jaysha - a superb care giver with whom we shared 5 days a week over the month up to the day my mom passed. They supported me to manage the other 2 days both with and without care support as I needed. I could not have made it thru this time period to support my mom's crossing of her rainbow bridge at home with out NWHC. The quality of service, the compassion and the standard of care is all top notch! read more

My mother needed 6 weeks of 24/7 home care after a difficult spine surgery. New Wave Home Care was quite simply the BEST. The caregivers they sent out were uniformly smart, sensitive, and always professional, even when my mother was grumpy and difficult (she was on heavy meds and in a lot of pain). I didn't hesitate for a moment to leave them alone with my mom, who was completely out of it most of the time (and cranky). I would recommend this company to anyone without hesitation. Seriously, I've heard a lot of horror stories about in-home caregivers and I am so relieved we didn't experience any of that with the employees of New Wave. New Wave is the reason that our father, then a new resident at a nearby memory care facility, is still here with us today. After less than 3 months at his new home, we were faced with our father in a severely dehydrated condition and on a weight-loss trajectory that the facility could not stop. New Wave came into not only a precarious health situation, but a tricky political environment as well - per doctor's orders, we needed our father's caregiver to step in and not only ensure proper food and liquid intake, but do it within the facility that had been part of the problem to begin with. In addition, our father's doctor requested fastidious note-keeping and communication regarding food and liquid consumption. For almost 2 years, we have been working primarily with Angie at New Wave, who helped us find the right caregivers for our father and attended numerous meetings with his doctor, the facility, and our family.
