Love this place! I was a bit skeptical, but coming here was one of the best decisions I've ever made :) Susan was my stylist and she did a fantastic job. She listened to what I wanted and over delivered. I just got a simple trim, but for you women out there you know it's not always easy...and can be easily messed up. Kim did an absolutely amazing job on my hair!!! I was nervous to ask for a mens cut because I was a girl (I just look better in them) but Kim was very kind and welcoming!! I have been getting my haircuts here for about 3-4 years now and it is the only place that my kids and I go for haircuts. They did a poor unprofessional job on my hair, never going back. The barber was on a phone when I arrived and he was forced to work on my hair , he finished the haircut very quickly and I came home to realize how badly it was done. read more

Came in here because of the reviews and seen that one of the pictures showed a little race car where kids can sit. Figured, the shop we usually take our son is full, let's try a new one. That was mistake #1. Got there and it was full, they all seemed to be in a rush and got straight to cutting the minute someone sat down. So no connection with the customer. Mistake #2. I will give them this, they seen my son getting restless and I just didn't have an easy feeling about the place and was ready to leave when this lady advised me that we would be next and even kindly asked the customers waiting for their approval. I have both my son and daughter. My husband with my son with the male employee and I with my daughter with a female employee. I showed her pictures and explained what I wanted and she was able to successfully cut it. My son on the other hand, my husband requested a 3 on top 1 on the bottom. The guy immediately went on to cut even though he saw my face in complete shock as he seemed to almost completely shave my sons head. I held back tears until I walked out and just broke down. Couldn't even look at my sweet little boy. Lesson learned, and would rather wait the 15-20 mins for our regular barber than come here. read more

I went in with my hair nicely styled and shoulder length. I told Twee just a little trim since I am trying to let it grow out longer. She turned my chair away from the mirror and begin to "trim". When the haircut was done and I looked in the mirror to my horror I saw all the hair gone and a short pixie style so short that not even a curler will go in. The WORST haircut I have ever experienced. It will take my hair at least two years to get to the length it was when I walked in. If you want all your hair gone this is the place to lose it otherwise stay away. A P.S. to add. My husband who has a very nice style also was ruined a few months ago by one of the male barbers. He asked to keep it full but came out looking like an "old man" style up the back. These stylists need some more training on haircutting. Neither of us will ever be back to these butchers. They have a new kid chair that's like a race car but my 2 year old, who also goes here for his hair cut, always screams his head off. Regardless they are very patient with kids. I was a bit skeptical about going to a whole new salon to get my eyebrows waxed. I found this salon on Yelp and decided to give it a try. When I made it inside, they helped me right away as I walked to the wax room. The lady was very sweet and did an amazing job on my eyebrows for a low price! Only $10 for eyebrows and upper lip and she did it perfectly! That is now my new place to go whenever my eyebrows are in need of waxing! Must go. read more

Wow! I have always done my hair in Vivian's but one day I came over here. They were so fast and my cut was amazing. Kim cut my hair and she was so nice and friendly and quick. I got my eyebrows done also and she did that too. Kim is great and so are the other ladys. I tell all my friends adn people who just moved here to go here. Also the pice range is better than anythign I have seen before, I payed around twenty dollors for eyebrows and sme waxing and a haircut. read more

The best thing about them is their price--lowest I can find around. They clearly advertise $8 for men, women, children on their store front window. However, they honor that price only for men and kids. They always charge more for women (about $10 for short hair, $12 for medium, and long hair is probably more). These are still very good prices but the misleading advertising outside for women's haircut should be changed. read more

I went to Marinela at the New Upper Cuts in Fairway Park, Hayward. Marinela is a fantastic hair stylist, a real artist. I had been doing my own hair all my life until I ruined it by over-processing it with too many hair colorings and perms. I decided to go to the New Upper Cuts hair salon and had Marinela do my hair. My hair was long but we cut the damaged hair much shorter. I didn't think it would ever look good again because it is also very thin. Marinela gave me a completely new hair style and made it look much fuller than it ever looked when I did it myself. She styles my hair like an artist would take paints to a canvas and make a beautiful painting. It is always a real work of art when she finishes and I'm always getting compliments on it. The shop is always very clean and I'm really happy with Marinela as my hair stylist. I would highly recommend her. read more

Fastest haircut I've ever gotten lol. The hair came out pretty clean but it felt like I was in a "drive thru" haircut. I showed him the photo of what I want my hair to be but it didn't exactly came out the way I want it. I would probably come back because of the price and pretty good customers service. I've gone here a few times to get my eyebrows done. The first time I was pleased with the outcome. My most recent time I've gone I came out looking confused. My brows are now uneven one is way higher than the other. The eyebrow that is lower is shorter and there is a chunk is missing in the front of my brow. read more
