So I will keep coming back to Top Notch Waxing because they are great at what they do and always have a great attitude. I will keep coming back unless I live extremely far. So far the 15 min drive is always worth the beautiful results.

I've been going to Top Notch for years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing…read more After my eyebrow wax, the technician pointed out that my left upper eyelid looked much redder than the right. When I got home, I realized part of the skin on my upper eyelid had been ripped off during the waxing. I contacted the salon immediately, and the owner was trying to help me... however, I understand asking whether I was on antibiotics is a standard question, but even after I explained that I wasn't on any medication and sent a photo clearly showing a skin tear, I felt the focus was more on finding another explanation than acknowledging the injury. I followed every aftercare instruction exactly as advised, applying ointment every three hours and avoiding hot water for the next 36 hours. When my eyelid remained swollen and painful, I reached out again and asked if they could refund my eyebrow service. Instead, I was told : " I'm sorry it still is in bad condition but it looks like you didn't use any ointment like I suggested" As someone who cares about my skin and previously worked in the aesthetics industry, that assumption was extremely disappointing because I had followed their instructions carefully. I understand that accidents can happen during waxing. What disappointed me was how that was handled afterward. As a long-time customer, I expected more professionalism and accountability.

Great wax and skin care deals, just follow them on Instagram and they do price match.

Julie (I call her Phuong, I've known her before she changed her name) since she has been cutting my hair for 25 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. She always takes her time and does an excellent job. She has an amazing photographic memory for hair cuts, once she cuts your hair, the next time you come in she remembers every detail. I've seen people move away and come back years later and she remembers their haircut style and details. I have recommended her to many friends and workmates and they were all pleased with their haircuts. I've been a customer so long I consider her my friend in addition to my barber. read more

She's a super sweet lady and genuinely kind once you get to know her. The quality + price of the haircut is what keeps me going. ($20 for men's haircut) in this economy is such a steal. They atmosphere & vibes are great here feels like home she also recently added in an eyebrow threader into the salon so check her out as well. Thanks Tracy

Updated review:…read more Since my last review, Miss Tracy had made positive changes to her business to provide better value and satisfaction to her customers. (Which we love and appreciate! ...Thank you, Tracy) I am once again posting this on behalf of my Mom. After the controvery we've had from our last review for Tracy, Miss Tracy had updated her business and quality of service--she has let go her assistants (whom missed to see how she wants her business to be), and made the service by appointment only to assure a high quality work done to her clients. (Which must have been difficult for Tracy, but we so appreciate this, because this immensely up the quality of her salon and service) Actually, if you read my last review, it didn't reflect the work Miss Tracy does. My apologies if that was unfair. I wanted other to take a chance to see the work for themselves, because quality of work usually speak for themselves. And for Tracy's work, I wasn't worried. Because in fact, when Tracy works on my Mom's hair, my Mom is happy and per her words she said: "MY HAIR DOES'NT ITCH WHEN TRACY DOES MY HAIR compared to getting my hair done else where". Tracy is very talented from how my Mom compliments her work and how I see her hair after she gets it done from this salon. It was probably the past assistants whom she was protecting then that didn't seem to value the customers the way she had wanted them to. Today, I can say that she has really improved her way of business, because despite our negative review in the past, she has accomodated my Mom along side of my aunt and Mother in law. I am happy this is a mended relationship between my Mom (her customer for a long time) and business owner, Tracy. +Tracy's a true business owner, and a thriving local salon spot here in Hayward. Her value for a good customer service and exceptional work on hairs are something uneasily replicable by just any salon. We recommend Tracy and wish her good fortune. She is a good person who takes care of her community. Thank you, Tracy for making this pivot. My apologies about my last review. I only strive to make an honest review always. But you showed resilience, and passion. You are an example of a true 5 star business. HIGHLIGHTS: + TRUE EXPERT in her expertise; attentive to details. Works on client's face shape (understands that "one size doesn't fit all") + COMPASSIONATE; Apologetic + Speaks the truth. + HARD WORKER; Passionate in her line of work.
