I came after seeing how available their hours were (my old wax place was closed on my only days off :( ) and I'm so glad I tried it! Parking is super easy, lots of spaces available and even next to several other businesses it was plentiful. The front desk itself is small but so gorgeous and well decorated! Everything is insanely clean and welcoming. The service itself was so wonderful, Rinkal preformed the services on me and she was so very delightful. My Brazilian didn't even really hurt, yeah some areas were ouch but barely felt it. She made suggestions for other places to wax but wasn't mean or negative about it I felt she had my genuine interest in mind. They have amazing deals! Both on Instagram as well as some bundles in the office. There's also some products for sale that were sampled during my service so it made me more confident when buying. Let's get it straight that my negative feedback is not for Arsh my esthie, but for the owner of this business. I visited on 10/27/24 for a Brazilian and Vajacial: I have gotten numerous Brazilian waxes and vajacials from an independent esthetician in Sunnyvale, but since moving to the East Bay I need something closer. Top Notch Wax caught my eye because of their competitive prices, significant instagram following, and they were able to accommodate me the same day. Rinkal Sekhon helped book the appointment for me over the phone and mentioned that I should pay via Zelle so that I would "avoid the card processing fees". Esthie started off with the brightening scrub before waxing. Not sure what was in this product but the esthie told me if I felt tingling I should let her know. She left me in the waxing room alone for 15 mins in butterfly position. When she came back to remove the product, I asked what the brightening product was and she told me it had "good chemicals". For the hair removal, she used hard wax. I wish the owner or the esthie had disclosed the use of this wax before applying it to my skin. In the past I have only received soft wax, which was way more gentle than this hard wax situation. While she said hard wax hurts less, I found that statement to be untrue. ALSO, when waxing my vulva, she literally asked ME to spread my outer labia, which I have never experienced in the past from either my independent esthe or a wax specialist at European wax center. This was a very collaborative experience at Top Notch Wax. Okay, so I'm being waxed in the waxing room. The esthie tells me that the rest of the treatment will be taking place in the other room. She tells me that it's only us in the suite, and that there is no cameras in the hallway, so I can walk BUTT NEKKED across the hall to the treatment room. I had another appointment booked right after so I just followed the directions. I can't say confidently that this is a normal thing they ask their clients to do, but yeah that was weird. The rest of the treatment was uneventful. The mask was good, the esthie who was treating me (Arsh) was a sweetheart. Here's the juicy part: paying for the service. When I scanned the QR code the account I sent it to was Happy Fleet LLC?!?! But Arsh said it was the right account. Happy Fleet LLC is a trucking company from what I gather from a quick Google search. Now this wouldn't be so weird if I didn't overhear this next part-- the other esthes that have made appearances on their Instagram posts are no longer with Top Notch Wax. The other girls left last week because the owner is WITHHOLDING TIPS from the esthies that are providing the services. I found this out and made sure to include in the Zelle message line how much was to go to Arsh in case an auditor looks into this. From my understanding the Brazilian alone is $58 and the Vajacial is $80, so even if I paid full price for the services it should've been only $138. And that's without the "new customer discount" of $15. I didn't think too much of it at the time but then today I see they posted a Brazilian Full Combo (what I received yesterday) for $120. Bffr Other things I noticed: - Don't be phased that they have a large instagram following, they require you to follow their account and mention the deal in order to receive the deal. - Their jelly masks are kept in hand labelled containers. Not sure if this is a violation of Cal. Code Regs. tit. 16 § 988 but thought I would share because in any esthetician's suite/studio I've seen products kept in their original containers. read more

Safe space for your waxing needs. I came here and met Rinkal. She's very warm and while I was waiting for my service she was explaining for people looking for a deal it's best to follow their Instagram page as they post promotions daily. Rinkal is very detail oriented when waxing (no stubbles left behind) and I notice she's also very passionate about giving advice on taking care of your skin! I've never thought about how my skin on my body looks just ensuring it doesn't feel dry. Nowadays following her advice makes a big difference. read more

Went here a few times. At first I really liked the place and their customer service was somewhat ok. However it started to get annoying really fast, as they are always trying to upsell and pressure you into buying wax packages or doing facials and what really irked me and pushed me away was any time I got my eyebrows done, they always ask if you need an upper lip wax or something else waxed. This is extremely rude and it's not really an uplifting experience as a customer, never experienced this anywhere else. Common sense would tell you that I'd book an upper lip or any other wax if I wanted to. And then they hiked their prices up, which to me is ridiculous given that they use hard wax, for a brazilian you only get one set of the butt strip, and a lot of the time not all of the hair even gets removed. Arsh is an okay waxer but not the most personable or sometimes even professional. The last time I got waxed here a couple months back I noticed she had used the same gloves that she used on my brazilian wax to wax my face. Veryyyy big hygeine no no and that was my last time going. I've even heard the owner Rinkal speaking to her in the back on how to properly prep and clean before a client. They always have issues with their booking site as well. Overall just not a professional place to go, and I've stopped a few friends from wasting their money on this absurd and overpriced place. I would recommend just going to EWC for a better experience and full hair removal that'd be worth the price you're paying as Top Notch Waxing is around the same price point. Save your money from their crappy service and packages that make no sense, and that just show they are hungry for money. A lot of other reviews have the same experience as well so it only makes sense why I had a similar experience and should have probably checked before giving them so many chances and throwing away my money on them. read more

So the business owner just assumed some info based on my profile and completely discarded my review. Tells a lot about how the business is run. I took the service a while back and had the review in draft unsubmitted. So here's the thing - There were 2 girls . One in her early 20s american and another indian girl. I usually go to European wax center, but came in for arms waxing because I didn't get an appointment at EWC. They had to switch back and forth and honestly the american girl apologized this took so long. To the owner - Feedback is a gift. Website was difficult to book. Didn't receive confirmation for first booking accidentally booked twice for same time. Called to confirm and was told to never book twice because it takes time away from other customers. Was told the wax couldn't remove all hair due to short hair length. That was understood but the inconsistent removal left patch's of hair.Waxer left room and another lady returned to explain that waxer had difficulty explaining process so she explained. My go-to spot for my waxing needs! I've had a variety of staff members provide services for me, and all of them have been so friendly and professional. It can be nerve-wracking getting a wax done, but all the staff make you feel very comfortable, and I'm usually in and out of the studio in 30 minutes. It's also very easy to book an appointment, and I've never had issues with scheduling one a couple days beforehand. The packages are also a great deal. I truly do not know where else you can find such a good price for waxing at the level of service they provide. I have had better experiences in the past, but I feel like they do listen to their customers and take their time to fix their mistakes or spots missed if you voice it at that time... that itself shows great customer service. Before I decided to call this place, I have never been waxed. It was a last minute decision to come here because I thought, why not? I called the number provided and got a very quick response and was on my way after our conversation. When I got there, the interior was very nice. It seemed very organized and clean.
