Very nuanced flavors, loved the way the coconut was woven into the curry. Beautiful. I found tha ubergine side not as great as the other dishes, tasted fine but not exceptional. Only concern was trying to find a server to get the bill when I was ready to leave.

After reading the reviews on several places we decided to try Kuti's. We made the right choice. Since we had no reservations we arrived early hoping they could fit us in. At 5:20 pm they were not even open yet but they invited us in out of the rain and welcomed us to sit at the bar while they continued to set up the dining room. After ten minutes or so the hostess seated us at a very nice table. The ambience is upscale with linens and well dressed polite staff. That would count for little of course if the food did not match the setting. It did not disappoint. We had lamb korma, chicken jalfrezi, rogan josh, mushroom rice and of course naan. The portions are generous and we intentionally order enough to take some home with us. It was that good. The price is very reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. Overall it was a delightful experience and we will head straight there next time we are in Southampton.

This is by far the best Kerala Cuisine I have had in the United Kingdom…read more I thought East Ham, London was the place to find the best in South Indian food. But I was wrong. It is this place in Southampton. I went from my firm to University of Southampton for Careers Fair and after the fair, decided to meet up with my old friends. I never knew of this place. But my friends recommended this for dinner and they came along. The staff were very friendly, took our coats and hung it up in the common coat hanger for us. They also gave us good time for deciding what to order as we were a group of 5. We ordered just one started. Vegetable Vizhi. But to our surprise we got a special Dal bajji or something as a complimentary starter. The Vegetable Vizhi is very much like a vegetable spring roll, only tastier. Came with sweet chilli sauce and some dry salad. And the complimentary dish, whose name I do not quite remember, came with some mint sauce. We also gave orders for some drinks, Kobra and Kingfisher, Indian brands brewed somewhere in the Europe. And got ourselves some poppadams till we decided on our main course. 5 of us ordered a variety of dishes, Vazhudananga Curry Kerala Meen Curry (fish curry) Lamb Jalfreezi Garlic Chicken Chicken Biriyani (which comes with some vegetable sauce) Kerala porotta (2 X 2each), Chappati ( 2 X 2 each) Vellappam (2 X 2 each). It took us longer than an hour to finish our epic feast of a meal here. And we were so satisfied and thanking our friends to have brought us along. And despite the fact that we were all so full, we decided to have a dessert. We had mango kulfi. We knew it was too much, but our minds just couldn't stop longing for more from there. All 5 of us attacked the kulfi and finished it in less than 3 minutes. And to top it all we got ourselves two shots of Baileys (though I am not a fan of chocolate flavored liquor, I did have it). After all that hogging the bill came up to about a hundred of which we got about 15% discount as it was our first time with our friends (who were pretty regular there). OMG! I still can't believe I walked out of the restaurant. I was so explodingly (if that was a word) full.

The food was very good and came fast. The staff was really nice! Would definitely recommend. Nice…read moreambiance.
