Since it is between the KFC and a tattoo parlour, and generally in an area full of chain restaurants I have walked past this place without much of a glance. Luckily a friend recommended it to me when I said I hand't found a good Chinese place in this city yet. We went for the all-you-can-eat dinner buffet and everything was good with some standout items like the crispy shredded beef and the chicken wings. It was reasonably busy for a Tuesday when we were there but service was attentive enough for us to order everything we wanted and then some. Definitely coming back soon.

Tangs offer a great lunch buffet menu. Everything you order from the menu is freshly made when you order it, its not out for grabs on plates and portables hobs like most other places due when there is a buffet. The variety of food at the restaurant is very impressive considering its location, and the food never fails to impress. The waiters and waitresses are all very nice and pleasant and make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Perhaps the only downside of the restaurant is that its neighbour is KFC

Situated above the new Buddha Bar which used to be Natraj indian Restuarant, in the Beford place area. The decor inside is very modern and upmarket and looks really nice, it has a nice atmosphere and the service is good. On the two occasions we have been be have opted for the buffet which is half indian and half chinese. On both occasions the food has been wondeful. Both sets of food have obviously been cooked by someone who knows what they are doing and there is a good range. Chinese wise i remember there being - Steamed rice, fried rice, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, pekinf duck, another main dish, spring rolls, prawn toasts, prawn crackers and a few other bits. Indian - Pilau rice, onion bahji, pakoras, naan bread, korma, tikka, another hotter curry, popadoms and then salad. The only downside to this is the expensive price which was around £17.00. I know it is a mixed buffet but for southampton this is a bit high. However i think this will go down as there were not many people in there. Drinks were also not cheap. Worth a go if you have the cash tho!

Decor is really nice and waiting staff were very nice and welcoming. We had a mix of Buffet and menu - buffet which included Indian and Chinese dishes (over 20 dishes) was very well priced at £13.95pp and a la carte menu was also well priced. Our bill came to under £65 for 4 people including drinks and this is well below what you would expect to pay for a nice food and venue. worth a visit - we'll definately book next time

Quite irritated I asked how long is a bit and a few questions later to find out that they hadn't made my food. They said it would be a further 30mins and said I would have to pay full Price!!! Unfortunately they didn't even let me taste the food…read more Let me explain. I have a (terribly annoying) gluten allergy, which means soya sauce is off limits to me. At ALL Chinese places I have ever been to (even in many different countries), the kitchen has always been happy to prepare me any meal without soya sauce. This makes it so I have quite a lot of choices on the menu. My allergy has NEVER EVER been a problem. Ocean Dragon on the other hand? Well, they refused to let me have anything. They basically showed me the door. On the front page of their website they write "Allergies catered for". This was the main reason I walked in. More like "Allergies? Fuck off" Taking a peak at the kitchen it didn't actually look like anyone was in there. All the lights were out, and it was deserted. So how does this work? Do they just pop the finished meals in the microwave? I guess so. It seemed extremely dodgy, I'd look elsewhere.
