The hours are limited, but I suspect that after dark is not a great time to do business in such a location. For those not seeking dairy, the place does offer frozen lemonade. They are cash only. When I rolled up, I was gruffly told that you could only get one flavor with an order. I ordered a waffle cone and the cone itself was nothing special. The ice cream itself delivered the complex dairy flavor you would hope for, and my salted caramel was mouthwatering. It's a lot to pay for one flavor of ice cream in that amount, and if I came back I'd get a cup instead, but the quality was there.

The beer was solid and we drink a lot of beer. We didn't want to get too full so we ordered 3 appetizers and all of them were AWESOME. Not kidding. My husband was very satisfied. We got the Tenderloin Crostinis, Spinach and artichoke dip with chips, and peel and eat shrimp that was cook in their own beer. So. Freaking. Good. As for beer, I got the No. 4 Porter (loved it) and my husband got the 1/2 Shot IPA (loved it). Service was great. Our waitress was very sweet. As it's winter, we didn't get a chance to enjoy the back patio but the inside was very cozy. We sat in a booth and it was nice and secluded. You can even see into the room where the magic happens! If you're in the area, I definitely recommend. My husband already wants to come back on our way back down to Tennessee.

Stopped by during Family Weekend at Radford and I was really excited to support a local small business. First tried Friday night at 7...they already reach their max number of tables for the evening. Not that it was busy...they were just closing early...parking lot was mostly empty. Figured, ok, must be really good... Came back Saturday for Lunch. Place was completely empty. I will say the building itself is beautiful. Wanted some of their beer...anything...I didn't care. The "chiller was broke" so none of their own beer. Umm...what? You couldn't put this on the website? Why would I got to a local brewery to have a beer from a national chain? Ugh. Oh well...already seated...so we stayed. My daughter was excited for the food anyway. Service was decent...Better than their beer they don't brew. LOL. Food takes a while, and was pretty good. Mashed potatoes were good. Chicken was ok. Daughter liked the loaded fries and ranch was really good. Maybe if the brewery brewed their own beer it would be a 4 or a 5. I might try again...not sure with the business model or lack thereof as it is, and apparent lack of upkeep on the brewing equipment. If you try it...CALL AHEAD! Ask to make sure they are open and still have seating for the evening. Ask if they are brewing beer! Either way...fix the chiller or remove the word Brewery from the name. ‍

Something I never realized (because I don't frequent Sonic very often) is you can do call-ahead ordering. That's nice to know so they can have everything ready for you ahead of time. The only reason I knocked two stars off is the lack of vegetarian-friendly items on the menu. The menu's main focus is burgers, chicken sandwiches, and hot dogs. For dinner I ate mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers. Healthy. Maybe I read their menu online incorrectly, but I didn't even see salads as an option? Something that is pretty cool is their huge drink selections. You can really customize any type of slush or drink or soda. They also have great milkshakes and I believe sometimes in the evening they are cheaper or half price or something. Sonic is great for a greasy meal and unhealthy drink or dessert (don't EVEN get me started on how amazing the ice cream sundae is!), but there are no real options for anyone who cares about being healthy. Bottled water and apple slices, I suppose?
