People are interesting. I would see Amy periodically for treatment over the years until she hired…read moreVioletta. Then it seemed I always ended up with Violetta. At my last treatment, there was a lot of disruption directly outside the treatment room door. I've lived in Santa Fe for 25 years, but have never experienced anything like it when getting a treatment of any kind - massage, acupuncture, colonic. After about fifteen minutes or so, I gave up and ended my treatment. Outside the door were two separate conversations - two men and two women - within ten feet of where I'd been lying. Each group was competing with the other group to be heard over the talking. There's a waiting room toward the entrance which is typically empty. It would have been less disruptive and disrespectful if they had conducted their socializing there instead of directly outside the treatment room door. It was obvious I was upset, but I didn't say anything. At the time, the price posted at the website was $130 unless you paid cash. (It's since been increased to $140). I was very busy and didn't have time to get cash, but was surprised by the $135 I was asked to pay. I was already angry about the excessive noise and wrote "price increase!" on my check. It's a lot of money for a partial treatment. The next day, I got a voice message from Amy on my phone. As mentioned, I had been busy and had appointments that day. I didn't immediately return her call. The following day, I got a voice message that I would no longer be accepted as a patient. Amy wasn't present during my last treatment so I can only imagine what Violetta told her. When I later looked at the cleared check at the bank website, Amy had written "you're an asshole" on the face of the check. (WellsFargo scans all checks and I can view these scans at my account. I did a screen shot of it on my laptop and thus it appears grainy.) When Amy responded later, she denied knowing who wrote it. If you look at the screenshot, you'll see that "Amy H" endorsed the back of the check (lower right corner). Amy may not have written "you're an asshole," but she knows who did. Amy lied. In response to Amy: As mentioned, the conversations I was subjected to were social. Two women (who appeared to work at 360) were talking in one corner of the waiting area outside my treatment room (not the hallway) and an old gentleman was talking to a worker outside an office door in the waiting area. These conversations continued for 15 minutes at least and each group was trying to be heard over the other group. You were not there. As I was upset about the noise, I didn't fill out the whole check. It was written at your establishment (your signature is on the back) and I assume Violeta wrote the expletive comment. You messed up and instead of giving me an opportunity to be heard, you relied on an unreliable employee and left a voice message on my phone that I was no longer welcome. I have never been treated so unprofessionally.

Amy normally had a two-three week waiting list but she made it a priority to squeeze me in. Her space is immaculate and soothing. Her energy is relentlessly positive and engaging and she is a wealth of knowledge. I'm pretty knowledgeable when it comes to gut health and I walked away with a half dozen new things to consider. I even got a a few awesome restaurants reccos. Amy takes a lot of pride in her space and practice, as she should! It's a special place. I can't say enough good things about Body Flow!

I've been to many spas in NYC, LA, Boston, etc. For me personally, nothing compares to Betty's! The ambiance is welcoming and calming, the prices are reasonable and the team is experienced. I typically get facials and ALWAYS leave feeling over the moon, relaxed and happy. The massage/facial beds are heated and all of products are organic and smell AMAZING so it's kind of like 2 in 1 aromatherapy as you're getting your facial :) They clearly state that the sauna/hot tub is additional on their website, so for the folks griping about that, it's probably best to simply read the info while booking rather than rip them for something that is stated upfront! I never expect to sauna or steam going into a facial service anyways, that just seems like an added perk/not to be expected. I digress.... if you want a perfect self-care day, book at Betty's!

This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

I had tried an acupuncture session elsewhere in ABQ before, but wasn't super hooked by it, particularly because it took that place 2 months to schedule the next follow up session. I was introduced to Mountain Spirit by another person I met at a gym I frequented. She practices healthcare and raved about her session with Mountain Spirit, so I decided to look up Mountain Spirit and give it a try. It took 3 months from the initial time I reached out to them to get things scheduled (had to wait for them to reach out after going through their waiting queue and fill out paperwork/providing ID/doc). But I think it was so worth it! The place was welcoming and very relaxing. It was clean and peaceful...and my first session with Dr. Yvette was so wonderful. She also added some moxibustion to my acupuncture session, which was new to me as well! I felt so relaxed and asleep without even realizing it until we reached the end of session! I was definitely hooked and booked the next session right after my first one. Luckily, the next availability was just 2 weeks away...so if the wait isn't long...I plan to continue visiting this place for sure. P.S. they take most major insurance, too!

You have to reestablish care with every new physician or nurse practitioner that they bring on. And I have filled out the form on two occasions, and gotten no response. They do not return phone calls so you have to do everything online, but even then they are not responsive. My initial thrill with my new medical care has disintegrated into utter disappointment. I would not recommend them to anyone at this point.
