I booked a 120-minute massage at Bunkhouse because I had been dealing with significant neck and…read moreshoulder tension and was really looking forward to getting some much-needed body work. I arrived for my 9:00 a.m. appointment and was greeted by the hostess, who spoke very little English. She showed me to my room and instructed me to lie face down. A few minutes later, my massage therapist came in. Before she began, I explained that I was experiencing a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and asked if she could focus on those areas. She replied, "Yeah." Unfortunately, the massage was not what I expected. It became clear to me that she did not seem to have the techniques I would expect from a licensed massage therapist. Much of the session felt like repetitive rubbing rather than purposeful therapeutic body work. Throughout the 105 minutes, she repeatedly left the room, which made it difficult to relax or enjoy the experience. The facility itself was clean, and she was pleasant and kind. However, I left feeling exactly the same as when I arrived, which was the most disappointing part after investing both the time and money in a two-hour massage. As I was leaving, she told me, "You already paid for your massage. You just have to tip me." I was caught off guard and asked, "Excuse me?" She used a translation app on her phone and repeated the same statement. I felt very uncomfortable and, although I tipped anyway, I left feeling pressured rather than appreciated. If you're looking for a relaxing spa experience or need therapeutic body work to address muscle tension, this may not be the right place for you. While the facility was clean and the staff were friendly, the quality of the massage and the uncomfortable interaction at the end left me highly disappointed.

Immediately phoned and paid for 12 laser sessions to help with my severe body aches and pains. Erin Brady is the best; exceptional customer service during each session and she fully explained the process. I found out that lasers are very effective for my inflammatory conditions, chronic back pain, peripheral neuropathy, and a host of other issues like tendonitis, bursitis, and capsulitis. My pain has dramatically reduced from these laser therapy sessions (aggressively completed in 4 weeks) . However, keep in mind that the laser therapy recipient must also do his/her work too. This isn't a one size fits all type of thing. One session will not fix your body aches and pain so one has to be committed for at least 5+ sessions. I have added laser therapy for that extra added boost to my holistic lifestyle that includes massages, acupuncture and meditation. Time to schedule my next session
