Before coming here, our child attended a great public school, but I could tell the gifted program there just wasn't enough for him. I trusted my instincts, and I was right. Since starting at Lee, I've seen a remarkable difference in his development, his curiosity, and his overall attitude toward learning. The environment at this school is incredibly supportive and tailored to gifted students. The small class sizes and individualized attention have made such a positive impact. My child is challenged in the best way, and I can see him thriving academically and socially. Finding Lee Academy feels like discovering a hidden treasure. I am so grateful we made the decision to join this school community.

Safety is not taken seriously by administrators, especially in comparison to how similar issues are handled at other nearby schools. The administration delayed sending transcripts for over 6 weeks, which delayed registering at the new school. After reading four…read moreother reviews, very similar to mine, it's clear that this school has issues, borderline discriminatory, when it comes to children with special needs. They lack communication, professionalism and are extremely insensitive. If there are issues with your child that the school struggles with they will not communicate them to you until THEY have made the decision about your child's future. My biggest frustration is that leadership refuses to have the hard talks necessary. Instead, they just sweep it under the rug until they decide to make it go away. While I understand some children might not be a good fit for this school, that is no excuse for their overall lack of professionalism and communication.

The teachers and staff are not only professional, but they treat the children with such genuine love and patience--it shows how excited he is to go to school each day. The environment itself is spotless, beautifully set up, and so inviting--it's clear how much thought and care goes into creating a space where kids can thrive. As a parent, there is no better feeling than knowing your child is safe, happy, and growing in the best possible hands. I truly wouldn't consider sending him anywhere else. We are beyond grateful for this school and everyone who makes it such a special place.

Having a straight-A student is nice.Having a star on the team is cool. But, man, having a respectful kid is such a FLEX. As parents we need to focus most on raising kids who are teachable, coachable, and respectful. I believe LP is not setting them up to do this. The focus is around money, status and being the top of the top, academically and financially. They are catering to the families who are feeding them money. Fundraisers that allow students who donate thousands of dollars extra privileges. Fields trips that are lavish that are not attainable for the average middle class family. The environment in the school is focusing on the wrong things.

My son came…read moreto me and reported that his teacher covered his mouth and put her hands on him on more than one occasion. It took a great deal of courage for him to speak up, and instead of taking his concerns seriously, the administration did the exact opposite. When I brought this to the principal's attention, I was met with excuses, dismissal, and a clear effort to minimize what my child experienced. Rather than investigating objectively, she essentially told me my son's perception was wrong and defended the teacher at every turn. As a parent, it felt like my child was being labeled a liar simply because it was more convenient for the school. To make matters worse, the school refused to move my son to a different class, forcing him to remain in an environment where he felt unsafe and unheard. This was incredibly damaging and showed a complete lack of concern for his emotional well-being. My son does not lie. He is intelligent, thoughtful, and had absolutely nothing to gain by telling me something so upsetting. The way this was handled showed a complete failure of leadership. A school should protect children first--not protect adults or sweep serious concerns under the rug. If your child ever comes to you with a difficult or uncomfortable truth, ask yourself whether this is a school that will stand with your family or silence your child. Based on our experience, I would not trust Dayspring Academy to do the right thing when it matters most.
