History
Established in 2003.
Optimal Learning Skills started with four life changing words: THINK, READ, LISTEN, MOVE. The unique programs include PACE (Processing and Cognitive Enhancement), which includes auditory/visual processing, short/long term memory, attention, memory. Advanced Brain Technologies (auditory, cognitive, behavioral, awareness) . Kinesiologist (Brain gymnastics, neuro-motor skills training). Teacher/Tutor, Author of a digital/textbook 'Reading Sounds Write" (Decoding speech-phonological awareness, reading, spelling, writing, communication & comprehension). Assessment of these and finding which one is the underlying problem. Coordinate learning wholeness with parents, psychologists, physicians (pediatrics), neurologists, audiologists, optometrists, behaviorists.
Meet the Business Owner: Karen B.
As a licensed practitioner, founder and owner of Optimal Learning Skills, which is a Cognitive Learning Center that helps individuals with learning challenges. The core-foundational skills work together in conjunction with each other.
My life experiences have been a training ground for my calling. As a teacher for over 35 years, University of Southern California Health Behavior Research Institute and the University of Phoenix provider, created my knowledge. Also, an author of a digital audio-visual textbook: Reading Sounds Write.
After my own brain injury, I found out what learning problems are, which is the reason why I became so motivated to learn about the brain. Advances in brain science teaches us that cognitive skills weaknesses can make learning difficult.
Coordinating with parents, teachers, physicians and psychologists provides core information.
The goal is to help each individual have a future filled with success!
