This recent visit found all four of us wanting more of Chef Jeannie Pierola's creative and flavorful cuisine! We shared some burrata at the bar while we visited with friends and then moved to our table for a delightful dining experience. The tuna tataki was a fantastic sharing plate to kick off a night of amazing flavors. I had the coconut lime glazed black grouper which featured purple sticky rice, a red curry emulsion, pineapple jalapeño chutney & herb salad. Sharing a bite with my partner was a challenge but I played fair as he gave me a divine taste of his seared duck breast. Our friends shared the octopus tiradito and wild caught sea scallops. They raved about the size of the scallops and the accoutrements. We had no room for dessert and plan to return when we fly back into Tampa later this year.

Went back again for our anniversary dinner and absolutely enjoyed ourselves! They brought us a free…read morechampagne round on the house which was so PERFECT! I enjoy that they have a rotating menu so we can try new things each time we go - Steak tartare ($21) preserved lemon, black garlic, miso tahini, crispy potato pave, garlic furikake: SO DELICIOUS! I really enjoyed the combination of the steak with the potato. It was crispy but also soft and the flavors were punchy with the garlic furikake. Definitely opt for this app! - Grilled Honeynut Squash ($29): what a delightful surprise! The flavors were sweet but savory and the yuzu cranberry paired so well with the garlic tahini. The Brussels were out of this world, I could have used more of those! The only miss on the dish was the onion pakora- I loved the onion outside layer but the inside was too dense and didn't taste very good. Everything else on the dish was fantastic and a good portion - Hat Yai Fried Chicken ($42): this was tasty with the purple rice and papaya atchara to give it a nice crunch and texture. I only had a couple bites as this was my boyfriend's dish but he enjoyed it!

The Churrasco sammy was great, though could have used a bit more shaved beef - and the Clothes Line bacon goes without saying - delicious! Limited Reposado tequilla, but Matt made 2 great marg's for hubby. I tried Vic's Wooden leg, an homage to Trader Vic's classic Mai Tai. In a world full of false Mai Tai's filled with sugary fruit juices, this one would have made Vic smile. I also noted the Cachaca on the menu and ordered a perfectly balanced Caipirinha. Looking forward to future visits. Cheers!

Up first, I had the Oaxacan on Sunshine for $20. It was pretty girly, and I didn't know it was going to come with a flower. Overall, it was fine, I wouldn't order it again though. Then, I went off the menu and had the bartender make me a dirty martini. Ooohwee was this one dirty and delicious. I love the olives with blue cheese in them too. For food, I tried the $15 Deviled eggs. I thought they were super solid. I'd order these again. For my main item, I ordered the $23 American Cheeseburger. It was solid, not as good as STK, but it was fine. Super big space. On the louder side inside. I would come back here again and get some more drinks next time.

Each bite and each sip top the last. We shared several dishes. The Tater Tot Waffle was easily the best bite, it was crispy, rich, and perfectly balanced and the caviar add on is a must. The Avocado Toast and the "Chipped" Bulgogi were both exceptional, and the Adobo Chicken Omelette had a nice kick. Finished off a great meal with an Edition Danish topped with a perfectly balanced lemon curd. The food was paired with a couple fantastic cocktails, the Strawberry Shortcake, that tasted exactly like my favorite spring time dessert and a BFE-Tini. Rooster is always a great experience, the vibes are always great thanks to DJ Mike Blenda and the service is always perfection every time. This is one of my favorite restaurants for a reason. They knew it was my birthday and brought me a birthday card signed by the whole crew and put topped the meal with a candle in my Danish. It was a warm and caring touch to a perfect brunch.

I reached out while planning a proposal to my now fiancée at the nearby park, hoping to arrange a small photo shoot area with champagne before dinner. After one quick email, the General Manager personally called me and spent time talking through ideas and helping make the evening special. Even with that conversation, I was completely unprepared for just how extraordinary they made everything. When we arrived, we followed a trail of rose petals to a beautifully decorated private table waiting for us with flowers, a handwritten card, champagne, and glasses already set. It honestly felt like something out of a movie. The attention to detail and genuine care from the entire team was unbelievable. The manager working that evening and our server were both absolutely wonderful -- warm, attentive, and sincerely excited for us. And on top of all of that, the food was phenomenal as always. I'm still in awe of how special Ulele made the night feel. I truly cannot imagine a better place to have proposed. This restaurant will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we'll definitely be back for many anniversaries and celebrations to come. Highly, highly recommend.
