It's a small class of about 13 kids. The instructor is very high energy, like she was not only in plays in school, but also a cheerleader. The teacher would set up a story and then show the kids how to use their body language and voices in that stories setting. She kept it very fun, lighthearted, and entertaining for everyone. For example she would say something like; how do you react if you walked in the kitchen and saw the pet dog had made a mess with the trash which is now all over the floor. And they would reply back some like like, "Oh no!" And the teach would have them verbally say it very loud, and use their hands, arms, and body movement to also express that type of emotion from the kids. I think the classes are about 3 times per week, and about 1 hour each session, and they are held normally about 4pm or 5pm. The teacher also has another adult assistant there to help the kids learn the art of acting. The teacher also has the parents get involved and assist their kids was needed. So the whole family has a fun, silly time learning drama. Part of the class the parents are not needed, so most of them go next door to the bar and eat some snacks or get a drink while they're waiting on the class to end. This performing arts center has been planning for many year. Finally it was build and open to…read morepublic. Today they have the fall festival free to public. This showcase their facilities and good use to the space. This 20,000 square feet facility has two studios and theater auditorium. The auditorium can seat over 350 people slope seats. This seats are retractable becoming an open space. The fall festival last three days. I attend three programs in two days. I saw the performance of the Tampa City Ballet, Daisies and Axes, Atlas Modern Ballet Company. Those are good professional performances. I saw the Tampa City Ballet Alice in Wonderland, Daisies and Axes acoustic folk rock, and Atlas Modern Ballet contemporary dance. The studio seem like has spring floor good for dance class. Unfortunately, they are also trying to build a new location & pass the burden onto the parents. Just received an ugly Xmas time letter from head coach Bosack. Didn't pay the "fundraising fee", so the kids "won't get a present", "will be pulled from competition", and "previous funds will be forfeit". Parking is dreadful. They should consider what "lost revenue" for a year of students withdrawn from your program means to the business. Strong arming tactics may work in the gym, but not with customers.

When he didn't show up on stage (due to their neglect at communicating), not an eye was batted. He didn't have anyone come to ensure he was safe. He was left in a room with a volunteer, presumably another parent at the school. Just because you have another parent volunteering does not mean they are a safe person. When someone is missing from a place they are supposed to be, the person in charge should feel quite compelled to locate the missing person. Original review: My son worked for 6 months on a dance he will not be performing tomorrow after severe neglect from the school to have tabs on their dancers. He was the only boy in the number, and one of a handful of boys at the school. He was only performing in ONE dance. No one thought to stop and find him for rehearsal when he was missing. He sat in a dressing room for 3.5 hours for literally nothing. They never called his name to come to the stage. When I confronted (admittedly, very heated after hearing of this) the woman in charge, she offered to have him practice then. At 8:30 at night. After my son had already sat for 3.5 hours waiting for them to call him up. After they were already 30 minutes behind schedule. Picture day was just as much of a mess. This is not his first rodeo with a dance company (he is last one stopped dance programs or we would have gladly stayed with them), and it isn't mine either- after having taken classes and performing for 15 years, myself. I would drive to Tampa over going to this dance school again. You would think if this is something you do over and over again, you would have it down by now. Not happy that they robbed my son of this experience, and have set him up for complete failure.

I highly recommend this dance studio to anyone looking for a dance company for their little one, or even teenagers. Pricing is reasonable - usually $20 per class, could be more, could be less. Depends on the kids age, and what classes they're taking. Still cannot be beat! My daughter has been going here since she was 4 years old, and she'll soon be 10. We love it there!
