I was blown away with the level of care and education she received. So much so I moved my youngest over there earlier to get her a headstart. By the time my older one went to Kindergarten she was so far ahead of kids that came from other centers. The quality is unbeatable and they average the same prices and other centers around but I feel like I got better value for my money. Nadine at the front is phenomenal and they have top tier teachers including Ms. Nicole who is amazing with the kids. I recommend them to everyone with small kids.

The curriculum is fun and engaging, while also being educational (seriously, my 3 year old often gets mistaken as a 5/6 year old all of the time because of how articulate and smart he is!). Ms Daniella and Ms Nicole in the Preschool 1B class are absolutely amazing with him (and he is VERY high energy). The patience that they have with so many 3 year olds is incredibly impressive. Since my son has started with them, he's learned ways to diffuse conflict, has become a bigger helper out at home, and is already starting to sound words out. I'm blown away by his progress! My younger son absolutely ADORES his Twaddler teachers Ms Claudia (YaYa), Ms Clari, Ms Sou, and Ms Lexi. His vocabulary has absolutely exploded since starting in that class, which was a concern of mine when he started due to having ear tubes. His teachers have also been wonderful with helping potty train. He's almost independently pulling his pants off/on and getting off/on the toilet at 2 years old! TLE New Tampa, the Surdovel family loves you guys! Thanks for all you do!

What my family went through caused significant stress, anxiety, and sadness, and I would not wish that on anyone else. Overall, Lutz Montessori is a good school. The teachers appear experienced and genuinely care for the children. My son was enrolled in the VPK class for nearly a full year (with just two months left) and we had planned for him to continue into kindergarten there. Toward the latter part of the school year, we began receiving concerns from his teacher about behavioral challenges--such as difficulty sitting still during circle time, interrupting, or hesitating to transition indoors after playtime. The teacher offered several strategies, including using weighted blankets, sand timers, and even seeking occupational therapy. We followed through on all of these recommendations. I stayed in close contact with his teachers, frequently asking for updates and doing everything I could to reinforce positive behavior at home. I even raised concerns multiple times about whether the Montessori method was the right fit for my son, wondering if he might do better in a more traditional classroom. But I was reassured by staff that he was thriving within the Montessori environment . Like many four-year-olds, he had moments of energy and impulsivity. Still, his pediatrician, the occupational therapist, and a county counselor (whom the school referred us to) all offered consistent advice : "He is a young boy. He's too young to diagnose with ADHD, and many children outgrow this behavior." None of them felt alarmed, and importantly--his behavior never interfered with his academic development. Unfortunately, things changed drastically. Just eight weeks before the school year ended, my husband and I were called in for a meeting with the leadership team. During this meeting, we felt pressured to pursue ADHD testing for our son. Statements were made that strongly implied a diagnosis--despite the fact that no one on their leadership team was qualified to make one. The tone and approach of the conversation left me feeling so uncomfortable. Despite my concerns, we decided to allow him to finish the school year, not wanting to disrupt him socially or emotionally so close to the end. But during those weeks, we noticed changes in him: biting his nails, chewing on his sippy cup straw, and acting out in uncharacteristic ways. Then, I received a phone call from the school director. She informed me that she had recorded my son's behavior on her personal phone--without my knowledge or consent. The video was heartbreaking. I saw my son overwhelmed and unable to express his emotions. Rather than offering him a break or comfort, the director questioned him repeatedly and continued recording, placing the camera close to his face. I was shocked. I pulled him out of the school immediately. It's now been almost 3 months since that decision, and my son is in a new school where he is thriving. His new teachers speak highly of him, and I have not received a single behavioral complaint. I will likely always carry disappointment in the actions of the leadership team at Lutz Montessori. Writing this review was not easy. But these are children, and how they are treated during times of emotional vulnerability matters. My hope is that by sharing this necessary changes will be made so that no other child--or parent--has to go through what we did

We toured the school shortly after relocating to Tampa Palms and immediately felt comfortable. Many of the teachers, especially in the rooms of the youngest children, have been with the school for a very long time. They treat your children as if they were their own. They challenge them, they support them, they teach them, and they allow them to be children. The curriculum is dynamic and feedback is consistently provided to help us to extend the learning outside the classroom. From a value perspective, the pricing is extremely competitive and affordable. When the new owners took over, they spent significant funds to improve the facilities. They upgraded the entire outdoor area to make it more usable year round, especially during rainy season. The Fitzpatricks did this because they knew it would be a better product and a better environment for our children. Tuition didn't increase a penny, despite the large capital improvement. The owners and leadership team work closely with outside vendors to make sure that the extracurricular programs offered to our students are competitively priced and from reputable companies. My son loves that he is able to participate in gymnastics, soccer, drama, and soon will be joining in on karate. He wouldn't have the opportunity to be exposed to such a wide variety of programs without Primrose. In terms of responsiveness, we've never seen a parent's request or small complaint go without answer and remediation. The school does an excellent job communicating with all parents. No school of infants to Pre-K students will ever be completely free of germs, but should a student bring an infection into school, there is immediate communication to parents, and steps are taken to ensure that any potential spread is minimized. I travel for work most weeks and my wife also works full time. Neither of us would be able to have the peace of mind and ability to focus on our careers that we do without the amazing environment and experience provided by both Primrose and its owners, The Fitzpatricks. We know that our son is in good hands and is surrounded by friends, teachers, and administrators who care about his safety, well-being, education, and growth. When you enroll in Primrose, you gain an extension of your family. Teachers become aunts and uncles who check in on your child long after they move on from their classroom. The support staff and administrators go out of their way to make you feel informed and included, and they make sure to give every student attention. A building full of infants and toddlers has the potential to be a very chaotic place, but somehow the group at Primrose Tampa Palms finds a way to provide a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment for all of us. A child's education and development is one of the most important investments you can make, especially in these early years. If we had to make the choice again, we'd choose Primrose every time.
