Words cannot begin to express what Daniel created for us at the ICA for our wedding celebration. We were hoping for something non-traditional, something as dramatic and unique as both the venue and our relationship . Daniel exceeded our wildest dreams with his vision and artistry. A week before Valentine's Day I arranged for a bouquet to be delivered. I had to be secretive and had bad phone reception so we agreed over both text and email that I would call to pay for it the day before. I called the day before and got nothing but voicemail. The day of, I called again, and they told me they could no longer fulfill the arrangement I picked but that they would put something together for a similar price. I agreed, paid for it, picked it up, brought it home. A few hours later, they called me to tell me my original arrangement was ready for pick up. I told them what happened and they said Okay. I received a text message 30 minutes later saying "Thanks for leaving me hanging with this arrangement. You're a piece of work. Girlfriend is so 'lucky'". See screenshot. Fantastic plant and flower store. Very friendly and helpful owners. It's a fun store to linger in.

Called New Leaf Flores out of the blue (found them on Yelp) and ordered a modest bouquet for a friend's father's wake. The owner took my order, and explained everything in passionate detail. Even explained how to recognize their bouquet from other flowers at the funeral home. In the end, the flowers were beautiful and appreciated by all . read more

Daniel and Jeb are amazing; we went to them with almost no idea of what we wanted our centerpieces, bouquets, or ANYTHING look like. We know nothing about flowers, so we came to them with colors and confused expression and they completely took us under their wing. They sent us home with wedding magazines and ideas and, once we had some things that we liked, they completely took the reins. Daniel designed absolutely amazing flowers and they were just perfect. As they are small business owners, they are hugely busy and the shop is sometimes closed because they are out working, so I would definitely recommend calling first and setting up an appointment that way. read more

This place is a super reliable spot to pick up the most beautiful fresh flowers, or boutique plant. They may be small, but they are mighty. When you walk in to the shop, it is an oasis of healthy and exotic plants, And a colorful display of flowers. They are a consistent and reliable shop, and the owners are so nice and super helpful. New Leaf provided the floral decorations for my wedding, and I can't say enough positive things about my experience working with them. Daniel and Jeb were genuinely kind, accommodating and transparent about the whole process. I truly felt that they cared about making me and my family happy - and they heartily succeeded. My husband is Iranian, so we asked Daniel to create a "sofreh aghd" for us (a low table displaying various symbolic items and flowers). Daniel came through with flying colors, despite being unfamiliar with the culture and our request. He eagerly absorbed all of the specifications we provided, and he and I collaborated to create what my father-in-law called "the most beautiful sofreh he's ever seen." Throughout our planning process, Daniel expertly balanced his role, offering creative solutions while never becoming pushy or overbearing. Leaving the studio after our final meeting, I felt completely confident in our discussions and what to expect on the wedding day - and having one less thing to worry about on that day was a true blessing. Daniel seamlessly blended my ultra-modern aesthetic with a respect for tradition and a keen eye for sculptural detail and natural warmth - and while I know not everyone's idea of perfection will match my own, I cannot think of a single thing I would have changed about the final product. Daniel, Jeb and New Leaf are the exact opposite of "assembly-line" floral design (I'm looking at you, Winston's) and they are the unequivocally superior choice. read more

I was looking to support local businesses in JP for our wedding; my then-Fiancé and I had been getting flowers from Jeb and Daniel for years, and it was pretty much a no brainer! I had a general idea of what I wanted and had a couple of meetings with them before the wedding, since I only needed personal flowers (Bridal bouquet, Bridesmaid bouquets, boutineers etc). A color change later, Daniel and Jeb were still being patient with me, despite my incessant check-ins. About 4 days before the wedding I came in to preview specific flowers, and ended up making a big change to my bouquet. I planned on coming back with my Matron of Honor and my parents the day before the wedding to do a final preview. Due to the change I had made with my bouquet, Daniel had worked with the budget we had set and ended up having to adjust the bridesmaid bouquets accordingly. That meant my "fall" vision for their bouquets was non-existent and instead looked more like a candy cane! I kept it together and left, not thinking there was anything I could do. I got halfway down the street and asked my Dad to turn around. It just wasn't my vision! Daniel was SO understanding, emphasized this was my day and that I didn't need to apologize. He told me he would handle it and I believed him. When I say you are in good hands with Jeb and Daniel......you are in GOOD HANDS. I recieved jaw-dropping bouquets that were the talk of the wedding! Thank you thank you to Daniel and Jeb for exceeding our expectations. The flowers were unique and colors, stunning! If you are thinking of using New Leaf, you won't be disappointed! read more

New Leaf Flores - October Wedding Bouquets - Florists Near Me - Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

Getting married over Zoom during a pandemic is pretty... untraditional, but the one thing we did want was some fabulous flower arrangements. Years ago, we lived in JP and I would get flowers from New Leaf all the time. I remembered meeting the owners, seeing them make fabulous arrangements and now, more than ever, it is really important to support local businesses. So, my fiancé called up Jeb and Daniel. He first spoke on the phone, explained our plan, and told them what we did and did not want in terms of actual flowers and greenery, and he used some descriptive adjectives to tell them what we wanted. A few days before the wedding, he brought them the vessels that we were hoping to use. The day before our wedding, he picked them up and brought them home. I was STUNNED. They were absolutely GORGEOUS. I could not have asked for more perfect arrangements. We had two camera backdrops (one outdoors and one indoors) and each was PERFECTLY suited to its purpose. I was pretty hands-off (and yes, I'm the bride) and looking at them, it was as if I had been heavily involved every step of the way. The arrangements were just gorgeous-- dreamy, really. I could not be more thrilled with how they turned out. Moreover, Daniel and Jeb were wonderful to work with-- they even repaired one of our vessels for our arrangements, which had cracked. We are so appreciative of their amazing work! It really helped make our day extra special. read more

Beautiful bridal bouquet for our elopement. A few weeks before I stopped by for a consultation and my bouquet was exactly what I envisioned. Totally reasonable on pricing. They were so easy to work with that I was nervous something was going to go awry, but everything was perfect and on time. Would recommend. read more

Terrific local shop that will make you look equally terrific! Pros: local, flexible, personalized service, unique variety, great artistic flair Cons: looking terrific isn't cheap...but other places can definitely be more expensive Came here because I was looking for a unique valentines day gift that didn't involve the same boring bunch of flowers. I was helped by Daniel who eventually helped me to choose an amazingly unique and beautiful orchid from southeast Asia. Besides giving me such a beautiful and hard to find choice, Daniel was honest and worked with me to stay within budget...we worked together on everything from the arrangement to the vase and it couldn't have been a more stress-free experience. Of course most importantly, Daniel created a truly beautiful design that made my Valentine really happy. While any floral shop can get you roses or whatever, Daniel and his shop offers a great and beautifully tailored experience. You also get to support a local business rather than an ugly internet conglomerate. It must be mentioned that the one downside to this is that delivery is simply not an option because of the very high cost. However, that's why they invented Zipcar right? All in all, this shop is a real Boston treat and a win win! read more

We are so grateful and happy we choose New Leaf Flores for my sister's wedding on August 17th, 2019. The flowers were absolutely stunning. Daniel and I met and discussed the floor plan and right away, Daniel made valuable suggestions that we implemented and made a big difference on how the room looked like. Also, you explain to Daniel the set up and he starts drawing sample arrangements and right there you know he knows what he is talking about. We sent him one final sample of colors but every arrangement exceeded our expectations. My sister was living in Colombia and would arrive in Boston a week before the wedding. Daniel and her had a phone conversation so she could explain to him her vision for the wedding. At my sister's arrival we met with Daniel and Jeb and the shop and Daniel had already selected flowers and colors and worked individually on what he would do for the bouquet, the centerpieces, the arrangement for the ceremony. We loved his selection of flowers and the descriptions of every arrangement he made. On the wedding day, bride's bouquet, bride's floral hair accent, boutonniere's, corsages, flower girl basket, arrived beautifully and carefully presented. Jeb worked on the top of the isle arrangement for the ceremony room, along with led pillar candles and it was simply stunning. The center pieces for the cocktail hour were so elegant that I took them all and share them with my office and my neighbors as most of our guests that attended did not live in Boston. Daniel and Jeb also provided the flowers to decorate the two tier - cake. There was one boutonniere missing and Jeb finished the set up, run to the shop and came back before 6:00 p.m. with the boutonniere. We highly recommend New Leaf Flores for your wedding. Daniel and Jeb provide beyond extraordinary customer service. They really interpret your vision. The vision for this wedding was a romantic, modern with a tint of vintage.... and happened because the incredible work, flowers and service provided by Daniel and Jeb. Extraordinary attention to detail and customer service that make a difference; on wedding day, just enjoy........and get compliments on the flowers.... Thank you Daniel and Jeb. read more

As soon as I moved to JP, a friend recommended that I stop by New Leaf on the way to visit my grandmother. This friend is opposed to spending money, ever, but springs for a bouquet every time he wants to cheer up a female family member. New Leaf is incredible. Sure, you could get pretty flowers at a super market, and you'd make someone smile. But can you go into a supermarket on Valentine's day and ask for the most "masculine" flowers possible for under $20 and come out with a few exquisitely chosen orchid stems? The owners find flowers I've never seen before. They help you create a bouquet or arrangement based on whichever main flowers suit your fancy (and your price range), and they make an arrangement and care about your day. They even gave me a few sprigs of spring buds because I was asking about them. This is a serious step up from a quick supermarket bouquet, and the arrangements are more creative, modern, and artful than any I've seen at a florist. They also last for weeks. Five stars. Go here every time. I literally make sure to walk by the window just to get a glimpse of the floral awesomeness in this store. read more

This flower shop and it's owners are the best! They go to market several times a week and always stock something to suit everyone, from traditional to funky. I've purchased 4 arrangements from them and they've wowed me both times. The first time, I reqested a traditional, rose, "winston-esque" arrangement...it was phenomenal and a bargain for how long it lasted- over a week. Plus, when the roses passed, I replaced them with zinnias and was able to keep it for another week! For the second order, I requested 3 smaller arrangements for a Vietnamese themed dinner party- i had no idea what to expect...the result was nothing short of fantastic. They also lasted over a week, and again the value was incredible! FYI: They are closed on Sundays & their website is currently in the works- should be up within the next month! read more

My husband ordered me flowers from New Leaf Flores for Valentine's Day. Apparently, my husband gave them a general description of what I like and gave the florist license to play around. My mother just had surgery yesterday and I wanted a bouquet that popped with color and would bring some cheer to her drab hospital room. Well, it was very last minute when I walked in to the shop, thank God the young gentleman (and he was quite adorable I might add...) was so good with putting together the flowers. All I asked for was color and some purple flowers (that is mom's fave color.) My mom LOVED them and I plan on going back later this week to pick up flowers to bring to her at home as she recuperates. I spent $63.00 totally for the bouquet (I will be honest on saying I don't know much about flowers etc) but I think it was a fair price for the work he did and it certainly beats last minute supermarket flowers any day. Thanks to the staff! read more

Jeb and Daniel at New Leaf made my day today. My girlfriend and hopefully my bride to be one day was home sick today. She loves orchids so I called and Jeb worked out a VERY reasonable price for an absolutely beautiful orchid arrangement which Daniel had just picked up from their supplier. She was so thrilled. She called me thankful and smiling and followed with a text that said "They've transformed my day....I love you". I would have paid double if I knew it was going to make that big a difference in her life today! Thank you Jeb and Daniel. read more

These guys are simply the best: creative, accommodating, and just great assets to the neighborhood. Everything they do is a cut above the cookie cutter creations coming out of Winston's. I've always wished for a quality and creative flower shop with great service in JP. My wish was answered, it just took me a long to time to respond. Our first experience with New Leaf Flores was when a friend purchased some flowers for us as a house warming gift. They flowers were stunning, exotic, and fit our home perfectly. After passing by the stores hundreds of times I finally ventured in October 2009 to purchase some flowers for my partners birthday. The owners could not have been nice, or more accommodating to my request and budget. Also, the flowers were a home run, he absolutely loved the arrangement and talks about them to this day. I only wish I could remember what they were. Today, in a senior "oh sh*t" moment I realized some of our favorite friends were getting married. I called New Leaf Flores and they came to our rescue. I was able to place and order on the phone for an arrangement to be delivered that day. I gave a rough description of the occasion and the couple and he immediately had a sense of what he would put together to fit the couple. Thank you New Leaf Flores, you have become my favorite new flower shop and have earned two new dedicated customers this year. read more

My husband and I got married 3 weeks ago...and I am still thinking about how much I LOVED our flowers. Everything from my bouquet, the centerpieces, to the custom arch at the top of the aisle...were incredible. We met with Jeb and Daniel twice to go over our vision- it's like Daniel can read your mind! He knew exactly what we were hoping for and brought it to life. I got so many compliments on our flowers that day- we dropped the centerpieces off at a nursing home down the street the next day and they loved them too. Could not recommend New Leaf any higher!! read more

After meeting with 3 florists, I finally chose New Leaf to do the flowers for my wedding. I chose them for two main reasons. First, I really prefer to support smaller local businesses when I can. Second, and most importantly, while most of the other florists spent time listening to my ideas and my budget, the owners Daniel and Jeb really did an extraordinary job listening to what I wanted for my wedding day, answering questions, and just making it feel special. They were friendly, fun, and really helped me create something I enjoyed, always working within my budget. I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful it all turned out. The arrangements were absolutely beautiful and the chuppah they made took my breath away. It was stunning!!! Jeb and Daniel are truly the best. There are certain things that I will always remember and cherish from my wedding day. Working with them and seeing the final product they created are among the top on that list! As with all wedding vendors, a wedding is a job to them. Some of my vendors made it feel like nothing more than a job, while others really made it feel special, realizing that even though it's a job for them it's one of them most important days of my life. New Leaf Flores really made my day feel like a fairytale. read more

New Leaf Flores - our wedding centerpieces from New Leaf - Florists Near Me - Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

I have been a customer of New Leaf Flores since it opened and would never get flowers anywhere else! Daniel and Jeb's arrangements are so unique, beautiful, and long lasting that I hired them to do the flowers for my wedding this spring in Washington DC. The arrangement were perfect and I go so many compliments from my guests! D &J were very responsive to my emails/calls, punctual with set up, and very lovely people to work with in general. Jeb and Daniel ask you your vision and color preferences and then they design a unique arrangement just for you. I love the attention they give to each piece and the artistry that goes into it. From an everyday arrangement to beautify my home, or a gift for someone special, to my most important special event, New Leaf Flores had done a perfect job! Try them out. You will be a fan too ;) read more

When it was time to order the flowers for our wedding our first (and only) stop was New Leaf Flores - partly because we wanted to use a local vendor and partly because we'd admired their window displays. We knew nothing about flowers and even less about wedding color-schemes. All we knew is that we wanted/needed flowers for the reception. Daniel & Jeb were a pleasure to work with. They somehow managed to take our scattered thoughts and came up with floral arrangements which were breathtaking and unique. The play of color and greenery were truly works of art - and helped to make our special day even more special. New Leaf Flores is simply the best. read more

I have been meaning to write this review forever. I've been a long-time, periodic customer here and even though I've moved from JP, I still make it a point to pick up flowers here when I can. The owners are wonderful and gracious and are always kind to my young daughter. And they do terrific work. It is no exaggeration to say that people stop me on the street to ask where I got my flowers. The owners have a terrific eye for interesting flowers and are skilled at arrangement. They have never disappointed even when I've asked for bouquets at various price points for different occasions. People are always wowed by gifts from here, which is of course what you want when you bring flowers. Thanks, New Leaf. I'll keep coming back and spreading the word. read more

My experience with New Leaf was a huge disappointment; ultimately I decided to book another florist for my wedding. I scheduled a consultation with Daniel and Jeb to discuss my vision for the flowers for my wedding. 45 minutes before my scheduled appointment, they called me to reschedule because they had just received a huge shipment of flowers that they had to put in water immediately. I was perplexed that they didn't consider this delivery when first booking my appointment but agreed to reschedule for a later date. The consultation was nice and I was told I would receive my price quote within a week. A solid month after the consultation I received an email with the price quote, and was told the delay in getting this to me was because my wedding quote had been "on the backburner". I was very upset and felt that this was just a slap in the face--my wedding day is one of the most important days of my life, and to be told that it was "on the backburner" felt like my wedding or even my business was not valued by this florist. When I told Daniel and Jeb about my selecting another florist and how disappointed I was with the experience, they did not even have the courtesy to reply. I would not recommend New Leaf Flores. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This company did my wedding in November and to start they had zero communication after the received their deposit to about a month before the wedding. Which should have given us the sign to lose the deposit and choose someone else. On top of that they ruined our chuppah with tacky black bases that had no covering and barely any flowers around it. We had to call Winstons day of to fix also our center pieces were not at all what we picked out. We specifically said not a lot of green and they were almost all green. This was worst display of professionalism and execution I have ever seen which is a lot since I work in the meetings and event space around Boston. Do not go with this company you will regret it, Winstons may be a tad more but it is worth it in the end. read more

Consistently gorgeous flowers; the nicest owners. No matter the odd request we've thrown at them, they have been kind enough to help, and always created something beautiful. One time, my husband asked their advice on how to dress up a cake with flowers. They had us bring the cake in and arranged the flowers themselves--the cake ended up looking professional despite our amateur baking skills! They are so helpful, and their flowers exceed those of any other florist. They seem to live longer too, which just shows the care they put into their craft from seed to arrangement. read more

Not impressed. Ordered flowers to be delivered to a sick family member's home. Prices are comparable to Winston's but quality no where close. I can't say enough good things about working with New Leaf Flores!!!! They are amazing. We used them for our wedding and they were incredible. They stayed within the budget which is amazing and hard to do. The flowers were unbelievable....everyone kept talking about how beautiful everything looked. I loved everything from our chuppah (which was very unique) to the table arrangements. Simple, clean, and elegant. I loved it all. I have since used them for Mother's Day. Since I live in NY I did not get to see the flower arrangement, but I trust them completely to work their magic. After hearing my mother's gushing voicemail about her flowers I knew they had done it once again and I wish I was there to have seen them. My only complaint is that I cannot duplicate them and bring them to NY with me. read more

One night, enroute to Ten Tables JP, I passed New Leaf Flores next door. Perhaps because I'm in wedding mode or perhaps because my other-half-to-be can actually keep plants alive, but I planted myself in front of the window and stared at the gorgeous displays, bright, beautiful, healthy flowers and some of the most amazing and unusual displays that I'd ever seen. "That's our florist," I declared and then set off for dinner. After the meal, amazingly, the shop was still open and I wandered in. Jeb, one of the owners, was warm and helpful as I poked around and I overheard Daniel meeting with some clients about an event. The following week I set up an after hours meeting and had so much fun working with Daniel and Jeb to create something incredibly unique for our *very* small wedding. From the amazing selection of flowers (a zillion types of orchids, calla lilies and amazing blooms I had never seen before), we came up with an orange-red, modern clean design that will carry through the arrangements and my bouquet. Daniel was sensitive to our price constraints and wisely advised me to put our flower money where we could appreciate it (bouquet, table arrangements) rather than where it would be wasted (displays for the 30 minute, 12 person ceremony). Daniel's taste is amazing and he quickly picked up our sense of style and more practical concerns (at 5 feet tall, I'd be dwarfed by a normal sized bouquet). The entire experience was warm and welcoming and we found an amazing florist, not only for this event, but for the future. I even went home with an unusual plant that I am going to keep alive (even if it kills me). (Sorry, Winston's, but on all levels New Leaf kicks your culo). read more

Daniel and Jeb did an AMAZING job with the flowers for our wedding on Thompson's Island in June. I provided them with the vision (colors, what I was going for, etc) and they helped create the perfect table arrangements, bouquets, corsages, and ceremony decor to fit within our budget. They made recommendations about flowers I didn't even know existed and really knocked it out of the park. I am thankful for their willingness to work with us and their amazing taste. We were SO happy with the result! Thank you Jeb and Daniel. read more

I didn't actually even get to order from New Leaf but I HAD to give them a shout out b/c they were regretfully unable to accommodate my request for same day delivery due to a large order that they were working on for a wedding this weekend, however, without my expectation, they graciously referred me to another flower shop in the neighborhood.
