We were a large party and given the chefs table next to the kitchen. A spacious and comfortable area that's set away from the other diners complete with a view of what happens in the kitchen. You will need long arms as the table is enormous and he plates are sometimes difficult to grab. Outside the chefs kitchen table room the other dinners seemed to have well spaced tables and comfortable seating. We opted for the Sunday platter with everything. Needless to say the platter was absolutely huge and contained everything.. vegetables came on separate plates, but I defy anyone to finish the entire thing. Thankfully they will offer a doggy bag-type arrangement. The meats were nicely cooked and even some crackling for the old school among us. The staff were very attentive and pleasant, the food was fine for us. Some may wish for a slightly thicker gravy with their meat, but as most of my party are from the North of England, gravy-a-plenty was fine. We also had desert, Eaton Mess and sticky toffee pudding. Nothing was left except a sense that we had all over-eaten and will (possibly) suffer for it later in life. Prices were reasonable, service was good and overall we were very impressed with how the restaurant has changed from its previous incarnation. Ideal for family, friends or just a good, hearty meal with a very nice of the Cotswolds. As a final note, we had a vegetarian order with us. He's not normally a carrot-only enthusiast, but is very fussy about meat (he likes meat cooked until it's "boot leather" which wasn't available here). The feedback was that this option was unimaginative, but did have many vegetables and the portion size was enormous. For those who aren't vegetarian, you'll have no problem. Support your local restaurant and book now. Highly recommended.

It's a nice pub and establishment. When you enter there's a bar and some cozy indoor seating with natural light. Nothing fancy. There's also a wonderful outdoor patio, which is where we sat. There's two floors to it and most of the seating is covered. The service by workers were all friendly and nice. We ordered with them then paid at the bar. We shared Duck and Orange Pate. It was thick, tasty, and complex but well balanced. I had the Crispy Chicken Sandwich--the mixed leaves were tasty, the chicken crispy, and honestly it was a filling sandwich. I would say I'd like more in between the bread but it did fill me up. You've got plenty of pub options in Burford, but we quite enjoyed our time at The Angel. It's off Witney Street and a nice place to dine!

I know that great grandfather's back millennia helped build the Burford bridge over the little river that's at the foot of high Street and so it was fun seeing all these places and having lunch there and thinking about my families connection to the town. Burford is considered to be the gateway to the cot waltz. The cot walls has an old area that has changed for a little over the hundreds of years and has amazing architecture and houses and farms. It's surrounded by rolling Hills and Dells and little rivers running through it. Burford is considered the gateway to the cot walls because it showcases several styles of very old architecture. that's still an excellent condition. If you have questions about what to do while you're there go to the Tolsey house. But I have to say there is no question that when I got there And it was lunchtime that I selected the angel at Burford to eat the fine food that they serve there. The staff quality of the food everything was amazing. I will return time and time again.

What can I say about the King's Arms? I'm at home here. When we moved to the UK, honestly our most…read moredesired feature was walking distance to a pub. We got stumbling distance to one of the best pubs in the country. This place is well-regarded by everyone in the region. I've met people here who give up walking distance to their local to drive here and have a good time. That says something. My first night here I made friends, and each time I've been here since I find myself in good company either with neighbors we've met before, or people who know we're new to the area and want to welcome us. I can't begin to tell you how often a quick pint before dinner turns into a long session at King's Arms. I wouldn't have it any other way. These guys truly embrace the concept of being the center of village activity. No TVs, no WiFi, these things distract from the community. You come here to interact with your friends and neighbors, enjoy a good beer, and enjoy living in the company of others. They regularly have events to bring the village out. The most impressive of which was the dinner they hosted on the night of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. They served the exact 10-course menu served in first class that evening, and requested everyone bust out their tuxedos and dresses to mark the occasion in grand fashion. It was a remarkable evening. One disappointment, since I have to list one to feel as though I am being fair, is the wine list. We love the temperanillo, but really none of the others. But we're not here to drink wine, we're here to be social! It makes me a little sad that we don't have this type of drinking culture in the US. If you're not an alcoholic, you're not likely be on a first-name basis with the bartenders at a local watering hole. That's why I love walking in here; everyone knows everyone else, they're always happy to see you, they know what you drink, they pour a tasty pint, and are genuinely good people. I dig it.
