It is new, clean and spacious with friendly service . I got a pedicure for just $25. They were able to finish within about 20 minutes...but then my feet aren't that bad anyways to begin with. I can it say it was a job well done. When they do the french pedicure, its just right! Not too thick, not too thin. They also have a couple rooms where they do waxing and facials. The nail salon also offers services for kids. (Check out the images for pricing) The staff is very friendly and they keep the place clean, including immediately sanitizing the little tubs right after a pedicure . I felt very comfortable here. This is my second experience here and both times I have left pleased with the work done. The ladies are efficient but not rushed and the atmosphere is calm. There is not as much chatter as I find in other Asian salons where ladies yell back and forth. I was in and out of there in an hour without an appointment which was great. I also went around 11am on a Saturday. The establishment is bright, clean and open. I got a regular manicure and a spa pedicure that was listed as $40 and they also removed my shellac for a total bill of $45. The pedicure was done by a smiley lady who put some muscle into the foot rub that accompanied a hot water feet soak, exfoliating scrub and the moisturizer she used smelt great. She took her time with the toes and even use a hand grater-looking implement to smooth my heels and the bottom of my feet as I did a lot of walking on vacation lately. The manicure was done by a different girl who was less smiley, but no less professional or efficient. She also did this hand massage thing that really relaxed my hands as she pulled at the joints or something, I don't know but it felt great and I was pleasantly surprised. The manicure was standard. I thought their colour selection could have more variety, but I always stick to basic colours so what do I know. My manicure didn't come out perfectly but I fault the nail polish more so than the actual work done. Tried a different brand than my usual essie/OPI and it dried a little unevenly. I also kept moving my hands during drying process so I take some responsibility. Due to my twitchy hands I also nicked one of the nails which the girl quickly fixed upon request which I appreciated. All in all, I'm happier with the pedicure than the manicure. I would return as I like the efficiency and no frills approach as I'm not the type to want to linger about for nails. However, I do think the price is a little high to warrant becoming a regular. read more

Had a pretty good first experience here. I booked an appointment here for 1 PM but it didn't really matter because there were no other customers when I got there. More people started to come later though and had to wait, since I think they only had like 3 staff working. The place is relatively small, but is clean and bright and they have a pretty decent selection of polish colours. I just got a regular mani/pedi, which was $35. I was pleased with the way the polish turned out, although I felt the "spa" part of the pedi was a little lacking. I remember a different place I went to put like oil and/or some kind of exfoliating scrub on my legs and then the lady massaged my calves and feet a little, which was nice. This place didn't do that, so I was a little disappointed. The girl who attended to me wasn't particularly friendly, but I guess I didn't mind that much. However, she was quite accommodating and helped me to fix up the polish on my middle finger after I accidentally smudged it myself, so I really appreciated that. I think this place is worth the price if you're just looking for a quick, no frills kind of mani/pedi. I would come back in the future to give their shellac mani a try. read more

This used to be my go to nail salon. No more though. I went today atound 11 a.m. there were 3 people working and they were all busy. One of the women said ut would be about 20 minutes. Another woman came in and immediately started arguing with the woman who called her. The arguing lasted about 5 minutes until I finally said " should I leave, I seem to be in the way" That finally stopped and the woman who was arguing came over yo do my nails. So very awkward. The first time I stopped by here to get a mani/pedi without an appointment, the lady said that she would take us and to have a seat. Ten minutes later, she said that she couldn't take us. So, I made an appointment and came back. On the day of the appointment, it was full and when I came in and told her I had an appointment the lady literally told the people who already had their feet soaking in the water to come back because they didn't have an appointment. My friend's mani/pedi was done by Holly and my other friend had her mani done by Sophia. They were both happy with their results and the service. My mani/pedi was done by the older lady and she made my toe nail bleed which had never happened before. She was also a bit rough and I was scared the whole time that she was going to make my skin bleed. Needless to say, I would not come back because even though two of three mani/pedis were ok I find it terrible that their scheduling system is not working and they have to ask customers who are already sitting down to leave. read more

A good little neighbourhood spot, if you can get in. I've never been able to get an appointment but I did today and after the time was mixed up, I still got in before they closed. Very clean and spacious. Not busy when I came. My girl did an amazing job and was chatting with me the whole time! There was an older lady getting a pedicure when I came, two staff help her get down from the chair, to the washroom, and then to her car- exceptional! New image nail salon should rename themselves rushed low quality nail salon. This was my first time here. I came in with high expectations based on reviews from other Yelp users. Not sure if this was a one-off occurrence but my experience can best be summed up as terrible at best. When I arrived for my appointment on a Sunday, the owner (Wendy) was pre-occupied sorting out staffing issues, as apparently one of the girls working that day was not feeling well and had to go home. I waited probably 20 minutes before Wendy finished sorting out staffing issues and started on my nails. Everything was extremely rushed as she was the only one working on a Sunday. Even during the manicure her mind was elsewhere - constantly having to stop to pick up the phone, attending 2 other customers who were waiting the entire time I was getting my manicure. The end result, not surprisingly, was bleeding cuticles and botched, uneven coat, and poorly shaped nails. I let her know that one of my nails top coat created a drop that protruded from the polish, and instead of filing it down and starting over she hastily filed it and applied another coat...what a joke. To make the experience even worse, I observed the girl who was there before me come back to complain how her nails were ruined bc they had let her go before it was dry, goes to show quality is a clearly lacking aspect here. So in conclusion, the owner needs to figure out her staffing issues, focus on quality (which is quite lacking), and be less greedy (meaning not accepting more customers on the day when you don't have the capacity). I for one will never come back here again. P.S. Be wary, for some reason all of the negative reviews are hidden under "Not recommended" section of Yelp resulting in an inflated rating. read more

I went to this place for the first time Coz I heard all the reviews of how clean they are. Secondly, because it's close to home. They are very meticulous on cleanliness which is good for a nail salon's reputation. The girls are very friendly and listen to your needs. Very accommodating. One thing I may add (which makes it four star rather than five) is that i did not like their pedicure spa. I've been to many of their local competitors and this is something they need to step up. I go to a nail salon to get my foot scrubbed and massage. The scrubbing part... I needed to go home and re-do what they had to do with my own pumice. Not worth the money if you ask me. Secondly they didn't even do a foot massage. If I am going to pay that amount of money for manicure pedicure. I'd expect the job to be completed fully. My manicure- they missed a lot of my cuticles. Nonetheless, good customer service, cleanliness and color selection. If the technicians stepped up their game , I am sure people wouldn't mind paying the price for a clean place they know they are getting good service at. read more

This nail spa is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by homes.. at first I was very excited to find a place so close to my house that wasn't crazy busy.. the inside was super dated and everything looked old.. when i walked in, there were two elderly ladies being attended to.. the owner (at least I think she was) was free and told me to pick a nail colour for my pedi and then had me wait until 1 of the other girls was done when she could've started on me.. parking was tight.. the nail job was pretty decent.. lasted a while.. BUT after a couple of days of getting my pedi done, I experienced an excruciating pain in my toe on one foot.. i couldn't put my feet down or walk without pain for a couple of days. I don't know if it was related but it;s likely that it is. Place just didnt feel clean to me. Won't be returning. read more

I went in once to remove and reapply shellac nails. Including the manicure and the tip, it was 38 dollars. I got Wendy and she was super nice. However, some of my nails weren't rounded out properly and were uneven. The nail colours choices were nice, but nothing special, mostly dwelling on black red and pinks. The wait time was extremely long... even when I made an appointment they still made me wait a long time due to double booking clients in the frequent case of customers not showing up to their appointment. When I went in, they were gossiping about me in my native tongue (although they did not know I understood). They cussed me out for making them late for all their appointments a previous time. If they had an appointment, they should not take walk ins... Then they proceeded to continuously call me and other customers "annoying" and "frustrating" (nicely translated). You have lost me and my family and friends as customers. I do not like being talked bad about as I am giving you business. OH, and they cut the side of 4 of my nails and continued to put acetone on the cut which made it burn even more as opposed to washing off the chemicals on the cut. read more

Pretty cute place. I appreciate that it's clean and there is ample room for multiple customers at once. They were able to accommodate my sister and I after making an appointment 2 hours in advance. We both got bio-gel nails and I got a pedicure on top of that. All the girls there are super sweet and they get the job done quickly and beautifully. Prices aren't horrible, but they aren't they best either. They unfortunately don't have a deal for a mani-pedi. I'll still be going back anyways. read more

This place is fairly new-- it's walking distance from my house and I checked it out a few times! Very clean environment. The staff is friendly too. Went in for a pedicure today and she did great! She even went out of her way to accommodate to me so I could charge my phone + use the store wifi. There's usually only 2 people working at a time, so it would be best to call and give them a heads up that you're coming even though they accept walk-ins. I've seen bigger nail polish selections and cheaper prices in Scarborough, but you definitely get what you pay for. Will be back! read more

Came in on a Sunday with two other friends an hour before close, and despite the time crunch they were still willing to do our nails after hours (without appointments btw). I was hesitant to stay because I was afraid they might've rushed on our nails but instead they took their time and made sure we were comfortable. The lady who did my pedicure was very gentle and took her time making sure my nails were neatly done... and they didn't rush us at all when it came to drying our nails considering they were already done with their shift. The salon and environment overall was exceedingly clean and spacious and there was no aroma of acetone or nail products lingering in the air (which I commonly find at other nail parlours). All in all, my friends and I were very pleased with how we were accommodated as well as the turnout of our mani/pedis. We were so pleased that we already booked for our second appointment! Even towards the end when it got busy the service was not rushed and she made sure to paint an extra coat because the polish I chose was a bit sheer. I went with my mom to get a mani/pedicure. I did not find the salon to be clean. The basin for my foot bath did not look clean and the nail files and other tools were not disinfected. The manicurists were using the same tools on all women. I also noticed that the foot bath was not being cleaned between clients. It took them over an hour and a half to do our nails. My manicure had to be redone as the first girl was really inexperienced and did not do a professional job. My mom's French manicure did not hold for more than a day. I will not be going back to this nail salon again and I would not recommend it to a friend. read more

I've been to both salons - the one on Lawson and the one on Port Union. Both appear to be clean and the ladies do a good job. My only concern is that I'm not sure if they sterilize their tools. I went to the one on Port Union yesterday and I saw the lady rinsing the tools after she was finished with me and put everything back in a basket and put it on the floor, then went over and picked up a different basket off the floor to start the next customer. There was no sterilizer in sight. This kind of gives me the heebie jeebies... Their work is good, just not sure if they're clean. read more

Never again, pedi was fine...however mani with new gel nails a disaster, really thick unnatural looking, bubbled all uneven, a nightmare.Crooked nails, slanted. I mentioned it three times to the girl, they are still crooked. Obviously the girl applied the gel too thick and it bubbled and looked horrendous. Cudos tough they did even, they did eventually try to fix it by more sanding and thining out the nails. They tried to offer to to remove the gel and leave my natural nails sanded down and exposed. Not happy with the service at all even though they did not charge me. Four hours later one of the nails snapped off. Should have known when the girl was applying the tips it cracked in half hmmmm. Stay away until their "nail technicians" are better educated. Now looking for a place to correct/fix the nail that snapped off. read more

I reviewed this place back in 2013 and gave it 4 stars....man how things have changed. I was there about 2 months ago on a Wednesday morning. I got there just after opening and there were already 2 people there and only 1.5 people working (I say .5 because I think the other girl was too new to do anything on her own). I was asked to come back at 12:30 so I left and came back. When I got back they were just finishing up with someone else so I waited about 15 minutes. I was having a gel overlay refill with polish. Typically this takes 1.5 to 2 hours to do when doing it properly. The only reason why this took this long here is because they were busy with other people coming in and answering the phone. They were basically booking people every 30 minutes regardless of what service they were having and with only 1.5 staff on hand. One lady had her feet soaking in the tub the entire time that I was getting my nails done, I can only imagine what they looked like at the end of her pedicure. I left with lumpy uneven nails and the gel caked onto the tips of my fingers that I had to pick off myself. I believe the problems started when they opened their second location but didn't hire new staff. Will definitely never return or recommend to anyone else. read more

They have a pretty good colour selection. Customer service was great. The place was clean, and they clean their equipment. Sometimes the place can get busy so call ahead and make an appointment. The price is a little steep, there better places in Scarborough that can do it for a cheaper price. But its not a rip off, you are getting good quality service and customer service for your money. read more

Really great service! I got the spa pedicure. They got all the dead skin off of my feet, did an excellent job cutting my cuticles and shaping my nails, and the polish was done quickly and smoothly. All of the ladies there were very kind - it's a nice and welcoming environment! Definitely going to be my new go-to place for nails. read more

worst place!!!!!! dont even bother coming here!! my friend and i were on a time crunch and came to this place after seeing some decent reviews. The pricing was standard; shellac $30. first of all we made an appointment for 2 people at 7pm, when we got there we still had to wait 10-15 minutes. No problem, but my friend and i didnt even get to do our nails together. the lady that did me did my friend after me, so that alone ruined the whole experience. We both got our nails done by Wendy. who is SO ROUGH!! every time she finished a coat she would throw your hand back at you, and she squeezed and twisted my finger so much while doing my nails it was really unpleasant. getting your nails done is supposed to be a relaxing experience. i have really sensitive cuticles so i asked her not to cut them and thank god cause she wouldve cut off huge hunks of my skin the way she was being rough with me. i didnt see any tools being taken out of the sanitizer box, another reason i asked to not get my cuticles cut cause the tools were just on the table from the previous client. she did really thin messy layers, there was nail polish ALL OVER MY SKIN!! ANDDDDD no. hand. massage. im lucky i got cuticle oil and a pathetic excuse for a hand massage, really it was just a hand squeeze, no cream!! my friend didnt even get the oil or little hand squeeze. she just got the hot towel. i did see that another nail lady did the hand massage with cream and everything, so it is standard! there were another set of friends who we got to rolling eyes with, the lady messed up her nail and wasnt trying to fix it, annnd was so obviously talking shit to her coworkers about the client right in front of her! we might not understand you but we arent idiots. they were first timers too and had a bad experience as well. dont bother coming here!! they are rushed, their color selection sucks, and its not a relaxing experience at all, didnt seem sanitary. arent they supposed to take out the instruments in front of you!! im never coming back here read more

I came here on a rainy day and I was the only client here. I asked for an eyebrow wax and a mani pedi. I felt like the wax was really rushed and the lady's hair kept tickling my nose, I thought that was unsanitary and unprofessional. Two women did my mani pedi while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I did not enjoy that. Everything felt rushed and the massage on the legs and hands were short and very weak. My French manicure was clumpy and I had to ask the lady to redo my thumb nail which is extremely uncomfortable, not to mention awkward. I've been to this spa before and they did a nice job, but today I rate two stars. The employees looked like they didn't even want to be there, and the over all experience was not so great. One last thing, I find it very rude when people are speaking to each other in a language you can not understand. read more

Awful! Worst nail salon I have ever been to. As soon as I walked in, the chinese lady said nothing not even Hi, just looked at me and said "Urgh". So rude, unfriendly. This place is pretty good. I went to Pearl Nails in Pickering before, and the girl who did my nails was kind of rude and kept checking her cell in between doing my nails. She didn't dry them during the process, and took me to these nail dryers in the back which 1. didn't dry them quickly, it took forever actually and 2. didn't dry them properly so one nail had cracked nail polish and i had these dirty flecks in a few other nails. So I went to New Image and they shaped and painted my acrylic nails, and dried them DURING this time, which meant they were DRY by the time it ended (bonus points!!). I noticed that my nails on my left hand were slightly off than my right hand, but oh well. I had my eye brows, lip area and chin area waxed as well. It all came to 60+ dollars (including tax and tip) so wasn't totally cheap but again, oh well. Overall, not a bad place, but just watch how they shape your nails and make sure your hands are matching lol!!!! read more
