Unprofessional and thieves. I called in the middle of the night and asked for an estimate to have…read morean air brake chamber replaced the following morning. They asked for my drivers location to quote it. I was told a mechanic would call in the morning after pricing out the part and mileage... if I agreed, they could go replace the part. I woke up a few hours later to one of their employees informing me that they had been working on my truck for "three hours", chambering the brake. First of all, chambering a brake takes 20 minutes... Second of all, I did authorize them to go and work on my truck, I was waiting for their price estimate... third of all, he didn't even bring the part to properly repair it. So the guy demands $700 and then starts insulting me, calling me a "Jew" and all sorts of other inappropriate things. My driver had to take the truck to another shop down the road to have the part replaced by a real mechanic, when he got there he disconne the trailer and saw that the scumbag from all American had removed the flash and seals from the brake lines. They are very shady and I highly recommend NOT calling them for anything. they have dozens of similar reviews.

There were also other repairs needed, and it took them more than the 60 day warranty period allowed for this part to complete them. When I got my car back, the odometer was still not working. The repair shop told me that, not only did the odometer not work, but other gauges were faulty as well. I had assumed that the part had been checked out, but apparently not. I wasted $127 on this part. Not happy at all !!! I called Kevin at Used Part Nation, but he refused to give me a refund. Don't trust any parts from this seller!!! They have NOT been checked out and very well may not work!

Instead of replacing all four engine mounts they only do two, which caused the other ones to go bad. Then instead of replace my shifting cable they installed a older shifter tht was worse than the one I already had. Paid for a new starter and they installed an old used one. Now after 2k later my car is worse than it was before I went in. The mechanic has been ignoring me for weeks to fix my car now. I was met by the mechanic, who was courteous and answered all my annoying questions. I went into the lobby and talked to the sales clerk, who I thought might have been the owner. She was also very nice. Although It only took 20 minutes to complete the job, it could have been 2 hours. I wouldn't have cared because the lobby was clean with plush furniture, almost like a coffee shop. I could have spent the day there relaxing and surfing the internet on my phone, but they completed the work promptly, and I was forced to return to adulting.

It's a hard lesson on having an old vehicle when 1 nut holding a lifter in place ends up costing lots of money. The Heights repair shop knew the nut on the lifter was the problem and got the repair done and also replaced the gasket which the previous two shops didn't do. The repair cost was very reasonable, but again a big lesson on one nut costing three repairs, 2 tows and lots of aggravation. Good mechanics are hard to find. Heights Repair Shop is both reasonable and determined to do the repair correctly. I appreciate them and will continue to visit them, when I have a repair to get done.

I paid just under $1,700.00. The paint looks great. Problem is I received my car with soaking wet carpet on the driver side. So bad that I ended up taking it to the local BMW dealer to have it looked at and dried out. This took 4 days and $$s. In addition to the water I also have a new approx 2.5" long vertical scratch on my front passenger door. It goes down to the door panel and the entire door will now have to be redone. I pointed this scratch out to his secretary and a technician at pick up. They both said that it would be no problem to fix the door, at their cost, and would take just a day. I noticed a mildew smell in the car on oick up but thought it must be a 'garage' smell. I had no idea there was water in my car. I approached Steven Cho on the phone as soon as I discovered the water and within 4 hours of picking up my car from his business. Mr. Cho accused me 3x in our telephone call of breaking a bottle of water in my car. I asked him how the water got into my car (He had it for almost a week and during that time it rained heavily in Ann Arbor). His response was for 'me to tell him. ' He was equally rude when I addressed the issue of the new big scratch on my door. He said I needed t show it had not been there at drop off. And on, and on, and on. His sarcasm was stunning. I do not take attacks on my character lightly. I personally let him know how I felt about his crappy attitude. I think he is a merchant to be avoided. I don't care how good the workmanship is - Steven Cho's poor character and bad attitude are enough for me to say this: AVOID VCR AND STEVEN CHO. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.
