Important details like lighting, merchandising, and even the ubiquitous bowl of Bernie Robbins Jelly Beans are always spot on. But no retail shop, however sparkly, is complete without a great team... As an active duty enlisted military member on a tight budget the whole ring buying process was very daunting to me. She was so kind, patient, and attentive which made it so relaxed, comfortable, and easy that my girlfriend never wanted it to end. Renee was not pushy whatsoever but was always available throughout the process. She gladly worked with me to ensure I got the best price possible and addressed every concern I had along the way. The owner, Harvey Robbins, made sure to come over and say hello. I had contacted the dealer and Andy about a Tudor watch - which I wound up ordering, and just taking delivery today. Andy not only goes out of his way to listen to what I want, but always makes sure to spend extra time determining my needs and explaining the options, and then orders what I want immediately if he doesn't have it in stock. The price was fair - and besides the dealer being authorized to honor the warranty, I get such a positive feeling of honesty from the dealer, and a clear focus on my needs, that I'd really hesitate to buy a brand that they carry elsewhere. A great place - in all the locations! I dealt with the Somers Point, NJ store this time - but have had equally positive experiences in Marlton, NJ & Villanova, PA.

About 30 years ago, my mother had him put a 2C Kenya diamond (?) onto her antique wedding band and I had a 1C one put into an older ring of mine. He did a great job and I still have them both even though I no longer wear that type of jewelry. My adult son was visiting from Florida and needed a minor watch repair. I suggested we drop it off there so he could have it fixed before he went back. Mr. Harris was extremely rude to him and said that he did not do watch repairs (even though I recall having some done in the past and his website advertises that as one of his services). He said he only replaces batteries so, since I had some that needed that, I asked how much that was. He replied , "as much as I can get". I assumed he was joking, but when we all laughed, he said "I don't do watches, I'm a jeweler." My son asked if he knew anyone in the area who did any watch work and he replied, "Nobody." His demeanor wasn't appropriate for a longtime business owner. I have seen this gentleman in church and have read good reviews for the business, so maybe we caught him on a bad day. I just felt the need to leave a review so that maybe he'll be kinder to potential customers in the future.

Showed the salesperson the other heads on my bracelet, specifically showing the size and thickness of the gold charm I wanted to purchase. The charm with engraving was $650 plus tax. I went to pick up my bracelet and noticed the charm was only 1/2 as thick as the charm I showed her. The salesperson said if I wanted a charm as thick as my other charms I would need to pay an additional $238. The salesperson ordered the wrong charm. The salesperson made the error they would not correct the problem unless I paid more money. I also asked them to give me a price on a custom made bracelet before I had the issue with the gold charm.. She said it would run between $3000-$4000. Few days later she called to say it would cost $4900. Her estimate was so far off the original number. Went to another jeweler and got the same bracelet for $1100 less than their price. When I told them I would not be purchasing the bracelet because I got a better price. The response was why didn't you let us know, we could have worked with you. So the original price was an inflated price. This is a terrible way to do business.

He made me feel very comfortable while I spoke with him over the phone. We then made an appointment for me to come into the store a few days later. When I went for my appointment and first met Art, he sat me down and right away he asked me what I was looking for and what I could afford. He then began to give me an education in the school of diamond buying...emphasizing on the "4-C's." I felt as if he was looking for my best interests and didn't want me to purchase something that I couldn't afford and didn't really want to buy. Art then began to doodle some ring conceptual drawings on paper for me to see and understand what my ring could look like. You see, at Palace Diamonds, they can and will custom design your ring and they will do it all while keeping your budget in mind. Art continued to ask me if I could afford a little extra in my budget and with my permission he then set out to find my perfect diamond and put it into a ring setting that would make it something more than special. The final product was as brilliant a diamond and as classic a setting as I could ever have imagined. My fiancée ABSOLUTELY LOVES her ring and she even insisted on meeting Art to personally thank him for his guidance, expertise, and professionalism in making her dream engagement ring come true. Trust me; you only get one chance to make someone's heart melt when you ask them for their hand in marriage. Palace Diamonds knows and understands this. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
