Allow me to add to the growing list of well-deserved five star reviews for this excellent practice!…read moreI had a root canal that was done about 8 years ago. The tooth was massively infected at that time, and I'm sure technically difficult for the dentist who performed the procedure, but it held for all that time... until it didn't The tooth flared up and started causing severe pain. The dentist who performed the original root canal had since retired, so I was referred to Dr. Aminlari at A2. After a CT scan of my jaw, he recommended an apicoectomy. This is a procedure that trims the infected roots from the previously treated tooth and removes the infected areas of bone (replacing them with bone graft) so the infection does not recur. Dr. Aminlari showed me the imaging of my tooth and explained the procedure thoroughly, making sure I had a good understanding of the pre-operative prep, the procedure itself, and what aftercare, recovery, and follow-up would look like. The procedure itself was a breeze. I received a LOT of local anesthetic, and Dr. Aminlari and his assistant checked on me frequently to make sure I was OK- positioned comfortably and feeling no pain from the procedure. I could tell they had been working together for awhile because their interaction during the procedure was so smooth and intuitive. Afterwards, I was given a written set of aftercare instructions, which the staff reviewed with me again. I paid for the procedure (which honestly was less than I'd expected to pay!). I should add that I had been contacted in advance with the amount I'd be responsible for out of pocket- the staff wanted to make sure there would be no surprises I just returned from my 1 week follow-up and again was treated so well by everyone from the front office staff to the assistant to Dr. Aminlari himself. You can certainly tell when people care about their jobs and genuinely want the best experience for their patients, and that is exactly what you'll find at A2 Endo

From start to finish this process was smooth, painless and the staff were very friendly. 1-Star Review -- Extremely Disappointed After 8+ Years…read more This has become an embarrassment for the University of Michigan. I have been a patient at the University of Michigan Dental School for more than eight years, and I have never experienced anything remotely as frustrating, dysfunctional, and poorly managed as what I am dealing with now. Let me be very clear: the dentists and dental students have generally been excellent. The problem is everything surrounding them -- administration, scheduling, IT, management, and the telephone system. The system is an absolute mess. You can't get anyone on the phone. People don't return calls. Messages don't seem to get handled. Trying to schedule or resolve even a basic issue has become an exercise in frustration. And when you finally do manage to communicate with someone, you can end up feeling like you're being blamed for problems created by their own system. What's particularly disturbing is that the dental students themselves are frustrated by this system. When the people working inside the organization are telling you they're frustrated with the same problems patients are experiencing, somebody in management needs to start paying attention. This isn't some minor inconvenience. This is a basic customer-service and administrative failure. After putting up with this for years, I have finally had enough. I have already found another provider for my wife, and I will be taking my own dental care elsewhere. After eight years as a patient, that should tell management just how badly this situation has deteriorated. The University of Michigan has an outstanding reputation, which makes this experience even more disappointing. The quality of the dental professionals is being overshadowed by an administrative system that appears completely incapable of serving its patients properly. Patients should not have to spend their time repeatedly calling, leaving messages, trying to figure out how to reach a real person, and then dealing with an attitude that makes them feel like they've done something wrong. We are patients--not problems to be managed. Someone in upper management needs to take responsibility for this. The phone system needs to work. Patients need to be able to reach people. Calls need to be returned. Scheduling needs to be handled competently. And when something goes wrong, patients should be treated with respect instead of being made to feel like criminals for trying to resolve the problem. Eight years of loyalty should mean something. Unfortunately, it apparently doesn't. I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility to understand what they may be getting into on the administrative side. The dentists and students may be excellent, but getting through the bureaucracy surrounding them has become unacceptable. University of Michigan Dental School: you can do better. Much better. Your patients--and your students--deserve better than this. One star, and only because zero stars isn't an option.

My parents just moved to Ann Arbor and they've been looking for a new dentist and luckily (for…read morethem) I had a few cavities that needed fillings so I had the honor of being their guinea pig trying out a new practice. Every interaction I have had with Dr. Greashaber's practice has been pleasant and seamless. Making an appointment was easy, the paperwork was easy, the front desk staff & dental hygienists are nice, and Dr. Greashaber is professional but warm and kind. I had a slightly bad reaction to the anesthesia (just jittery from the epinephrine) and he was so comforting. Further, he said that a few of my fillings that he was going to do on a subsequent visit were surface-level enough where I could avoid anesthesia on those. As I was leaving, he noted that once the anesthesia wore off I could expect a few days of gum soreness and pain. Well, guess what...nothing! It's crazy, the numbness was the worst part of it all. I had my appointment this morning and I feel nothing at all. Not sure if that's due to Dr. Greashaber or pure luck, but either way I can't complain! All in all, I think my parents have found their new practice!

The most competent you will find. Never willing to settle for "good enough." Plus, a super nice guy who makes an extreme effort to truly know all of his patients.
