My parents just moved to Ann Arbor and they've been looking for a new dentist and luckily (for…read morethem) I had a few cavities that needed fillings so I had the honor of being their guinea pig trying out a new practice. Every interaction I have had with Dr. Greashaber's practice has been pleasant and seamless. Making an appointment was easy, the paperwork was easy, the front desk staff & dental hygienists are nice, and Dr. Greashaber is professional but warm and kind. I had a slightly bad reaction to the anesthesia (just jittery from the epinephrine) and he was so comforting. Further, he said that a few of my fillings that he was going to do on a subsequent visit were surface-level enough where I could avoid anesthesia on those. As I was leaving, he noted that once the anesthesia wore off I could expect a few days of gum soreness and pain. Well, guess what...nothing! It's crazy, the numbness was the worst part of it all. I had my appointment this morning and I feel nothing at all. Not sure if that's due to Dr. Greashaber or pure luck, but either way I can't complain! All in all, I think my parents have found their new practice!

The most competent you will find. Never willing to settle for "good enough." Plus, a super nice guy who makes an extreme effort to truly know all of his patients. His dental assistant Stacey, and his office manager and receptionist, Laura, are both exceptionally competent, cordial and efficient. The best team and the best dental practice you will find!

1-Star Review -- Extremely Disappointed After 8+ Years…read more This has become an embarrassment for the University of Michigan. I have been a patient at the University of Michigan Dental School for more than eight years, and I have never experienced anything remotely as frustrating, dysfunctional, and poorly managed as what I am dealing with now. Let me be very clear: the dentists and dental students have generally been excellent. The problem is everything surrounding them -- administration, scheduling, IT, management, and the telephone system. The system is an absolute mess. You can't get anyone on the phone. People don't return calls. Messages don't seem to get handled. Trying to schedule or resolve even a basic issue has become an exercise in frustration. And when you finally do manage to communicate with someone, you can end up feeling like you're being blamed for problems created by their own system. What's particularly disturbing is that the dental students themselves are frustrated by this system. When the people working inside the organization are telling you they're frustrated with the same problems patients are experiencing, somebody in management needs to start paying attention. This isn't some minor inconvenience. This is a basic customer-service and administrative failure. After putting up with this for years, I have finally had enough. I have already found another provider for my wife, and I will be taking my own dental care elsewhere. After eight years as a patient, that should tell management just how badly this situation has deteriorated. The University of Michigan has an outstanding reputation, which makes this experience even more disappointing. The quality of the dental professionals is being overshadowed by an administrative system that appears completely incapable of serving its patients properly. Patients should not have to spend their time repeatedly calling, leaving messages, trying to figure out how to reach a real person, and then dealing with an attitude that makes them feel like they've done something wrong. We are patients--not problems to be managed. Someone in upper management needs to take responsibility for this. The phone system needs to work. Patients need to be able to reach people. Calls need to be returned. Scheduling needs to be handled competently. And when something goes wrong, patients should be treated with respect instead of being made to feel like criminals for trying to resolve the problem. Eight years of loyalty should mean something. Unfortunately, it apparently doesn't. I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility to understand what they may be getting into on the administrative side. The dentists and students may be excellent, but getting through the bureaucracy surrounding them has become unacceptable. University of Michigan Dental School: you can do better. Much better. Your patients--and your students--deserve better than this. One star, and only because zero stars isn't an option.

Dr. Dailey and her staff make up the best dentist's office I've ever visited. I had a good first…read moreappointment there a few months ago, and my second visit today confirmed my good impressions. The office is in an renovated house just north of campus. I was running late this morning and worried about finding a spot in this normally crowded neighborhood, but I was relieved to find that they have patient parking spots on Catherine, just around the corner from the front door on Ingalls. Both hygienists I've seen are friendly and professional. Dr. Dailey makes me feel assured that she would notice anything amiss, even if I didn't feel any symptoms. She's big on preventative care, such as prescribing fluoride treatments to stave off incipient cavities. Overall, Dr. Dailey's office is pleasant, professional, and competent!

Dr. Dailey's office is the best dentist I have ever used…read more Since I moved to Ann Arbor I have been going here for about two years for my 6 month dental cleanings with hygienist Kelly. Kelly and Dr. Dailey are warm, honest, and thorough. Kelly spends more time ensuring every single particle of plaque below the gumline is removed than any other hygienist I have ever worked with. She is clearly an expert in what she does and I never feel like she rushes through any part of the cleaning. In fact, I think she takes more time and care with her work than most hygienists would. Dr. Dailey herself is incredibly nice and has taught me more about my mouth than any other dentist in the past 26 years of my life. I learned that I have a bit of compressed tissue (not sure what the exact medical term was for this, but more or less that's what it was) and I was walked through how to floss better. Dr. Dailey, after noticing on my first visit that I was starting to have a bit of a gum tissue problem, demanded I floss more and come back in after just 2 months to get it looked at. This followup check was *free*. There was no charge because there was no work to be done. They simply wanted to make sure that my teeth were doing better. Scheduling appointments has always been convenient and they have decent hours. Billing to my insurance has never been an issue (call ahead to see if they accept your plan). The office itself is very modern, calming inside, and quite nice. They clearly have modern equipment, modern training, and know how to run a business. I'm never going to be overjoyed to go to the dentist, but Kelly and Dr. Dailey are super nice, fun to chat with, and know their field better than any other place I've been.
