I was running late this morning and worried about finding a spot in this normally crowded neighborhood, but I was relieved to find that they have patient parking spots on Catherine, just around the corner from the front door on Ingalls. Both hygienists I've seen are friendly and professional. Dr. Dailey makes me feel assured that she would notice anything amiss, even if I didn't feel any symptoms. She's big on preventative care, such as prescribing fluoride treatments to stave off incipient cavities. Overall, Dr. Dailey's office is pleasant, professional, and competent!

Dr. Dailey worked very hard to get the first appliance to fit correctly, and it served me well for years. The second was even better--incredibly comfortable, albeit very expensive (worth it if it helps). A short time later, however, a full sleep study done at U of M showed that I had very significant continuing symptoms of sleep apnea, and my sleep specialist asked me to get in touch with Dr. Dailey to get her recommendations. That was more than a month and a half ago. Since then, I have been trying to reach her or to get feedback from her, via her staff, which has been an exercise in frustration. The process of trying to reach someone in Dr. Dailey's office is absurdly complex, a Kafka-esque nightmare! First, you call and almost inevitably you reach voicemail, telling you to "leave your name and number, and we will get back to you as soon as we can". So you leave your name and number, and perhaps a description of the issue; Sometime later, you inevitably receive a text message telling you to leave a text message (why weren't you told that in the first place?) and someone will get back to you within 24 hours. So you leave a text message (I did that on May 5, 2022) and wait weeks...and weeks...and weeks. Many weeks later you receive a text message (which you fail to notice in the midst of all the junk texts you receive, telling you to come in for an appointment, which will cost $200.00, which you cannot afford. When you do finally manage to reach Dr. Dailey's assistant, Annette, she agrees to go over your records and she states she will get back to you next week with feedback. That happened to me several weeks ago, and I have yet to hear from Annette. It has been more than a month and one-half since I first called, trying to reach someone. it is now June 20, 2022. I am completely frustrated with the situation and worn down by it, and cannot bear to leave one more message. What can the problem possibly be? Annette wears multiple hats at the clinic. Is she spread too thin? is the office regularly understaffed? Are they not able to hold onto employees? All I can say is that the office set-up is a hot mess. I am left with a comfortable oral appliance for sleep apnea that is not helping me. Dr. Dailey's wonderful skills are useless to me if I cannot effectively communicate with her office or with her about problems with my appliance. I am sorely disappointed!!

When it comes to medical care, I value skill over all other factors. Dr. Aminlari is the best technical Endodontist I have ever encountered. He ensures that the area on which he needs to work is completely numb before doing any work. And when he works, he does so quickly and efficiently. In addition to surgical skill, it's nice to have a good beside manner and Dr. Aminlari has that as well. He and his support team are relaxed and friendly, creating a positive environment for what most people consider a traumatic experience. During a procedure, they regularly check to make sure you're OK and make adjustments as necessary. Obviously, no-one wants to have extensive dental work done but when it's necessary, you want to have it done by the best doctor you can find and Dr. Aminlari is definitely at the top of his field.

Dr. Aminlari/A2 endodontics was able to get me in within one week for a "questionable" tooth that was only intermittently hurting. They were able to provide me a price range over the phone when I scheduled, and on the day of the appointment the office staff and technician were very personable, open and friendly. I waited less than 5 minutes in the waiting room, and this was only because I had arrived a bit early. I have an unfortunate anatomy/physiology such that it is difficult to get adequately numbed- it takes a lot of shots and extra time to block pain signals. Dr. Aminlari was committed to making sure I was as comfortable, and was not at all judgmental or rushed like most other dentists that I have seen. He was not concerned about the time it took; while it required some trial an error to see if the local was adequate, he was very responsive to my indications of pain and immediately stopped to administer more when needed. The actual root canal procedure was very quick (especially compared to others I have had). He was also very patient with all of my nosey curious questions about tooth anatomy, and which intrument does what, haha. It was a chunk of money for me to be sure- but an imminently fair and reasonable price, in my opinion, given the years of education, training, costs associated with running a business, employing staff, etc. Also, I have paid a lot more at other dental specialists for inexcusably poor service/outcome, so I am more than happy to pay someone who does a great job and is also kind. Who wants a root canal? Literally no one. Did it hurt a little at times? Yes, but they did everything in their power to minimize this; they were super nice and responsive and I felt safe there. They got me out the door in just over an hour. They even called the next day to check on how I was doing, which is rare these days. If you find yourself in the unfortunate situation of needing a root canal, no worries this is the place.
