The West Hartford Building Inspector failed the roof and told them in a report exactly what they needed to do to get it to pass. Bill from LA Rich yelled and screamed at me because the building inspector came to inspect the roof, he said the inspector was wrong, that he didn't know his job among other insults I won't repeat here. The inspector was nice enough to meet them at my house and show them exactly what had to be corrected. They never yelled at the inspector, though. I guess they felt more comfortable yelling at a 72 yr old woman, says a lot about them. There were also other problems with their work in which the owner Scott told me to go up on the roof and fix myself. Boy, did I pick the wrong roofing company! I just wanted to warn everyone of my experience. I will be handling things to have their faulty work corrected. I definitely do not recommend them.

Here are some points worth noting regarding the siding replacement job that this group just…read morecompleted: 1) Timing: They gave me a start date and began on that date. They worked 10 hours each day including through storms and cold to complete the job on time. 2) Price: Out of multiple quotes, they were the lowest price. 3) Cleanup: They left virtually no mess largely because one of the workers spent most of her time cleaning up as the work was being performed. 4) Quality Workmanship: The attention to detail was remarkable. I went around the house and did not see a single bad cut. The trim around each window and door was left perfectly mitered and squared. 5) Workers: All workers were polite and respectful. 6) Materials: The materials used were all high quality. 7) Modifications: There was some plywood that needed to be replaced and other adjustments to the originally agreed upon project and all prices for the additional work came in lower than I was expecting. 8) Neighbors: We have gotten multiple calls and texts from neighbors commenting on how good the house now looks.

I found them when I was looking for gutter installation work and was so impressed that I had them replace the entire roof on my house sized barn (~2100 sq ft) with Owens Corning along with significant rehabilitation work to the substrate. Most recently, they built a composite deck on my property. The price was very good on all occasions and change orders handled exceptionally well. It seems all too rare these days that you find a contractor that is reliable, competent and takes real pride in their work but that's exactly what you're getting here. These are skilled and honest professionals who do excellent work and stand behind both the process and the finished product. I have no doubt that we will work together again and I hope they know how much I appreciate the care that they've taken with my unique and often complicated property!
