Steve O- Newington, CT I Hired JP carroll for my roof in…read moreNovember . they are a GAF certified installer which was one of my criteria. Overall decent job but 2 workmanship issues I discovered. price was in middle. higher than some others. lower than some others TJ sales guy was great. very knowledgeable and even discovered I didn't have soffit vents like I thought thus I did not have proper ventilation ( eves had siding with perforated vents however they were covered with plywood in attic no ventilation). because of this TJ pointed out I should not put ridge vents at peak ( they are designed to work with soffit vents). this was key in me picking JPC installation was done in 1 day. did great job protecting property and cleaning. staff very friendly. but at end of day I did walk around and questioned something regarding diverter installed in front of house. they did poor job in cutting flashing/ metal rake around diverted too much of gap. I questioned it and they attempted to put another piece over it but still had large gaps. they siliconed it assured me no water would penetrate. I accepted that initially but 4 days later after getting my gutters put in I noticed additional issues with the additional 2 nd piece of flashing they put over diverter 1) it was not a new fresh piece. it was recycles, dirty, had unused nail holes in it, and the edge was crinkled not straight edge. 2) the 2nd piece of additional flashing was not cut to fit the area. this area was above the gutter over over my front entry/door where there is a short side wall where garage connects to house. the flashing was 2-3" too long vertically. and it was hanging below the side of the garage by 2-3". not a tight fit cut/nailed to side of garage so there was huge open crevice 1" wide about 12" long along sidewall of garage. perfect storm for wasp/ bees nest. the contour of flashing used was stepped not flat which created a 2nd rectangular opening. I couldn't believe it was left this way I complained demanded correction of flashing before paying balance. JPC STEPPED UP sent Mike Chase to evaluate a week later who agreed condition was not acceptable they sent a specialist JOE 1 week later ( 2 weeks after job) to fix it and he apologized for how it was left. JOE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB EXCELLENT JOB FIXING IT to how I wanted it too look in the first place . LOOKS GREAT NOW In walking around with joe to check rest of house,, I noticed something about my 3 new louvers I didn't notice before. when initially discussed the intent was to space them equally:. 1 on each end near side of house nea gable vents, and 1 in middle of roof. however they didn't do that 1 of them was centered instead of placing near end of house one of gables. so they are not visually symmetric/ equidistant on the roof. looks weird if you are looking up from back of house, but most people wont notice. I can live with it but don't know why done that way. Got 25 year GAF golden warranty though which was important Steve O

Afterwords, they were understanding and quick to add me to their busy schedule. The onsite team were professional and hard working. They did find additional work that was needed and requested that I review the added work with the added price. Glad I was there to see they were truthful and boy I'm glad I followed their advice. All said and done they serviced my home and were neat. The cleanup was also amazing. But please understand that all said and done no matter how clean and neat the service is there is and will be some minor things left behind. Like a nail or two maybe some unseen gutter clips. This is expected and I'm glad I hired this company. I strongly recommend them for your household needs. I'm certainly going to call them to see if they go into the city area for any work if my mom's house needs any repairs. It's worth it to ask.

They destroyed a mature eight year old 5' high Hydrangea bush by my front door. Surprise surprise, as I am writing this, yet another large empty box of roofing material has just been thrown and falls right by my bedroom window. The video shows my broken Hydrangea being shoved with the rest of garbage they trashed my patio with. Shingles were hung over the trees, an awful site. This is unbelievably surreal and negative experience. I guess They pick up these men on the side of the road on the way to your home. No one to answer for what they do, no one cared. Do not waste your money.

They were very respectful of our home and placed drop cloths anywhere they would be working and along their walking paths. After the job was complete, they vacuumed and cleaned up any mess. We were home during the entire process and overheard the employees constantly making sure that everything was aligned perfectly. I highly recommend this company if looking for quality work and great service. The gentleman that initially came for the quote and final measurements was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions in great detail. The truck driver who delivered our windows the day before installation couldn't help but to sing their praises. Great experience beginning to end. Nothing but professionalism beginning to end....*8 months later and we do not regret our decision in choosing JC Tonnotti!

This review is happening because of poor workmanship a less than a year after the job was done, I…read moream including the whole story because it needs to be known why I refuse to call them to fix the issue. We had an issue with our basement windows. After many calls to various companies we settled on using Tonnotti. I am a huge advocate of using the mom & pop establishment. From the moment of contacting them we were upfront & honest that we would need to finance the job after the down payment. Every time we spoke with someone we got a song & dance about looking for a new company with better terms for financing. Skip ahead to the installation day, the work is completed & we were asked for payment. Imagine our surprise when that happened, we explained about the financing & the worker said he would have someone reach out to us. The office called & explained that their finance company didn't finance anything under $3,500 and we would have to find another way to pay. I was furious and told them so. I felt like we had been baited & switched because they knew our position. Then last week with all the rain we came home from a funeral service out of state to find out basement once again filled with water. You maybe asking yourself well how can that be? When we cut away the expanding foam the silicone they used around the window was a joke it was minimal & it pulled out without any effort. So now having to not only deal with a home in New Hampshire that a tree fell on, a mother who's had to move into assisted living I now have to deal with trying to find someone, I will have to pay more money, reliable to come in & fix the shawty workmanship of a shady company. Thank goodness we had the floor done not soon after so the water cleanup is so much easier. Update 7/17/24 the new pictures added to the end are from the rain on the 17th...this is what 3k gets you.
