Everything they make is outstanding and I have been a regular customer locally and from afar for over four decades, it's super quality tasty stuff!! Portuguese immigrants Eliseu & Emanuelina Amaral began baking sweetbread out of their garage and by 1963 they established Amaral's Bakery. They not only provide sweetbread, rolls, and other great products in their Fall Right ver, MA storefront but they're also distributed in regional grocery stores. In adiition they have a very good online service that allows those of us who've relocated out of the area to continue to enjoy their great breads and other products. Bolos and Massa with or without raisins, sliced sweet bread for toast, homemade pound cake, and lemon or plain biscoitos, those are my honey's favorites. Let's talk about bread, I have found since moving away from New England that it's damn near impossible to find good bread, specifically in the south like TN, MS & AL. I supposed I got spolied by living in Portuguese and Italian communities where bread is so central to practically every meal. But I keep thinking, just how hard can it be to make a decent piece of bread? Apparently too hard, but I digress :-) Yes their sweetbread is excellent but I am addicted to their Portuguese rolls! I used to buy them several times a week and sometimes I would get them while they were still HOT! Oh yeah, it's very much like the Krispy Kreme tingly thrill when you get those hot doughnuts. Sooo I used to get friends to FedEx those Portuguese rolls to me in the 90's but these days I simply go to their website and order up several dozen at a time and boom, addiction satisfied :-) Another big advantage is being able to order chourcio (Portuguese sausage) links, patties, etc. and other great stuff like Malasadas and coffee milk. Bottle line: The people here are fantastic and they put out a consistently excellent high-quality bunch of products. Highly recommended!!

I guess I won't be ordering online from them in the future.

This trip, my dad decided to take my husband and me on a very important "bread journey". We went down a few small roads that led to... a bread shed filled with the most wonderful, fresh-baked goods. We grabbed a classic sourdough, the roasted garlic sourdough loaf, and some cookies. Honestly, I would drive here every weekend if I still lived here! The sourdough is truly phenomenal. The roasted garlic loaf is a masterpiece. It's fantastic when toasted up with some roasted tomatoes and pesto. Just be warned: it's so packed with flavor, it's also a great way to ensure people stay a respectful distance from you all day long (hello, garlic breath!). I also got to try the banana bread brownies. I could do without the frosting, but the actual banana bread base is perfection. This is a great little spot to fulfill all your carbohydrate needs. It's best to follow on instagram to see what will be available for the weekend and either placing a pre-order or risking it all and stopping by when the shed opens to see what you can grab. Everything is so tasty! Five stars for the best bread shed I've ever been to.

The oatmeal raisin looked and tasted as if I made them myself. Very dense and dry. I do like the fact they loaded it with raisins that's great but over the oatmeal cookie part was not even top 5 best oatmeal raisin that I've had. I also tried the chocolate chip and crushed mint cookie which had like peppermint crushed on the top. It was an odd flavor combination and again a dryness to the cookie itself. Idk if they make their cookies daily or if they were getting stale but for my first experience trying 2 kinds and both were mediocre cookies. I'd rate them a 6 out of 10 so 3 stars out of 5 seems fair. Maybe it was a bad batches a bad day for them maybe they have others that are more moist and tastier idk but I don't think I'll go back and waste the money.
