They had good inventory and customer service was very friendly when we went to check out. It seemed to be a little pricey, but what isn't pricey anymore. Store was a little small with the walkways but overall they do good for their space. Different rooms have different products; from food, treats , toys, bedding, clothing, etc. Very chill no pressure atmosphere. The best part? They're very conscious of where there products are made or any health concerns from said products. TONS of Made in the USA products. We didnt have any ambitions except to eyeball stuff, but ended up with a bag of goodies to help support and keep the small business going! read more

This is one of my stops whenever my bf and I visit Galena. This place caught my eye when we first came to Galena a few years ago due to the logo (pawprint/handprint ying yang). At the time I was making a lifestyle change with becoming a vegetarian and I had barely started volunteering at my local animal shelter. To celebrate these things I wanted to get a tattoo that epitomized my beliefs. When I seen the stores sign it was like a light fell from the sky and dramatic music played in the background as I said "Yes! This is it! THIS IS IT!" Excited to find such a store (after taking a few pics) I went in and was excited to see an entire store devoted to pets; t shirts, mugs, stickers, scarves, toys, treats, food, shampoos, you name it. The store is more on the dog side then cat, but that's ok. I have dog friends too. :) Flash forward a bit I came back to the store and showed the owner my tattoo , a bit hesitant on her reaction. But she LOVED it and even took a pic. This past time my bf and I went back to visit (and get more goodies) and she remembered us. How cool is that? I really felt like I was seeing an old friend. And as I hoped my tattoo helps to promote questions and awareness , which is just what I wanted. I told her that too and she loved it. This place has a lot of stuff and as always, I prefer to support independent business owners, as should anybody. read more

We contacted New Earth Animals about boarding our dog there for two days while we stayed at a B&B. The woman who answered the phone miraculously had no idea how much it would cost or what the requirements were or even if there was room. She had to call me back. When she did, she questioned me about various vaccines until she found an obscure one that my dog (an 8 month old puppy) didn't have because you don't give those vaccines to puppies. "Oh, well, we have to be really careful about H3N2 because there was just a terrible outbreak in your area," said she. After telling her that our dog would NOT be staying at her boarding facility, I called my vet who informed me that they don't often give the H3N2 virus because "there hasn't been an outbreak around here in years." If you don't want to board my dog, just tell me. We won't be calling again. read more

Nice little pet store with treats, doggie toys and other supplies. The woman working there was very helpful and informative about the products carried in the store, and gave me some winter time tips for my dogs (I have two chihuahuas, one of them has never been through winter before). I will definitely stop by again when I am in the area. They also have the most adorable doggy clothes!! read more

Recently boarded Jake, our "special needs" 10 yr. old boxer for a long weekend. Upon picking him up he was spry, healthy, and in good shape. Returning home he acted as if he was never away. THAT'S the sign of a great boarder. Very reasonably priced to. Wouldn't think of boarding him anywhere else. read more
