Cotton Club is a cute store in the adorable town of Galena, IL. I was in town with my family for Memorial Day, and the store caught my eye as we strolled down Main Street. I saw an adorable dress in the front window, and decided I had to go in.
The clothes, hats, jewelry, purses, belts and other accessories are high quality, and the prices reflect this. I searched dresses and skirts and bought a flowy, long, pink skirt. It can be dressed up, or down, which I like. On a casual summer day, I could wear this skirt with flip flops and a cotton tank top. During the evening, I could wear it with heels and a nice tank. For this, I paid $73.
The sales associate was very nice and helpful. She tried to pair a scarf with jewelry attached with the skirt for me. Of course, it matched and would have looked nice on someone, but it wasn't my style (or in my budget since it would have cost me another $25).
I bought the skirt, and she wrapped in it purple tissue paper, and put it in their shopping bag. It was raining outside, and the tissue paper wound up getting wet and bleeding purple all over my light pink skirt. I called the store, and I honestly don't know what I was expecting the sales lady to say. The customer service at this store was impeccable. She apologized for the stains and asked me what size I bought the skirt in. I told her Medium. She looked and they did not have an more mediums in stock in pink, but they had the same skirt in blue in size medium. She said she would gladly take the pink skirt back and exchange it for a blue skirt. Now, this stain was in no way the stores fault, but they took a loss and exchanged a stained skirt for a new one.
I give Cotton Club 5 stars for customer service and product quality. I took one star off for the above average prices. I would absolutely recommend this store to a friend. read more
