As someone in law enforcement, I informed them that I couldn't attend a session due to being mandated, yet they displayed a shocking lack of compassion or empathy. This is completely unacceptable and utterly unprofessional! They need to understand that proper care and customer service demand respect and understanding--qualities they clearly lack!

So, I looked up Dr. Novak's Clinic a few minutes away. They saw me right in no problem. The nurse practitioner was the one who actually saw me but she was the nicest, warmest, with the most friendly personality. She explained everything to me and made me feel better. Yes, the medicine was the key but the fact that she cared was great. They also took my blood for testing with no hastle either. I was expecting to explain myself but it was fine. I'll be going back regularly. **Update, the nurse practitioner has one of those positive uplifting personlities. No matter what, she inspires hope.

To start of with : I have had good experiences with Nurse Pam and Dr Novak…read more However, the administrative side of this practice is really problematic. 1) Most appointments (in my experience) run much later than scheduled (in some cases more than 1 hour!). The practice says that if the wait time becomes too long they can reschedule, however I recently had to wait even longer during the rescheduled appointments. The actual appointments feel incredibly short and brief, but I guess this is the unfortunate state of healthcare in the US, wherein you only get to talk to your doctor for less than 15 minutes. Appointments do feel fairly rushed. 2) The front desk seems to be very disorganized with keeping track of payments, be careful to save all your receipts or risk getting constant letters that you owe money to the practice! In my experience, they have not properly recorded co-payment and claimed that I did not pay. I have otherwise had good experiences here, but these issues (long waits and poor billing organization) sadly makes for an altogether poor experience

It was nice that Dr. Sidwell had such a wide range of experience, depending on my situation we could switch from talk therapy to implementing hypnotherapy, helping me release some of my trauma. I was impressed by how calm he was for our sessions, it was comforting to have his guidance throughout compacted traumatic events in my life, big changes in my life, and breakthroughs. I am thankful for the skills that he taught me to use on my own independently as well. Not only that but his office is cool and welcoming, the chair is cozy and I enjoy my visits to the space. Great art to look at that Allen made himself which is really impressive. I would highly recommend Allen Sidwell for therapy and I am thankful to the one friend who recommended his work to me!

Happy to report he took the time to methodically review family and medical histories, had wonderful bedside manner, and was in no hurry whatsoever. I remember being impressed with the time he spent asking probative questions or searching his knowledge before coming to any recommendations/conclusions. Having a compassionate disposition is an absolute must for any doctor. I won't address any specific reviews below, but Dr. Matson is the epitome of what you would expect out of any medical professional of the highest order. Take a moment to read some of the literature in his office, ask him a few questions, and you'll quickly see he's one of the doctors who still really, actually cares about your health and wellbeing. Lastly, I'd like to comment on the front desk nurses. I'll admit I thought they were a bit too curt on the phone at first, but after meeting them in person it's clear they take their job and your time very seriously. You won't be complaining when your Rx is called in and your paperwork is finalized and ready to go before you are... Clockwork! Love it. Thanks Dr. Matson and Co! -Austin

When something needs to get done, she is the person making sure it happens. What stands out most is how dependable she is. She knows how to solve problems without making them feel like problems. That kind of experience is hard to replace. And she remembers people. That may sound small, but it isn't. Especially in mental healthcare. When you're already dealing with enough, the last thing you need is to feel like another name in a system. Jen has never made me feel that way. Employees like Jen can sometimes be easy to overlook because when they're doing their job exceptionally well, everything simply works. But from a patient's perspective, she is one of the biggest reasons the experience here feels organized, personal, and dependable. I sincerely hope the leadership team recognizes not only how much she does, but how much value she brings to the organization every single day.
