Those with less support needs in those two areas have more difficulty adapting to an environment, not geared for their abilities. Those with higher behavioral needs and cognitive support needs are given preference over those who do not appear to be struggling as much with behavior or understanding. however, everyone who is in a mental health residential or a drug alcohol residential needs more support than the average bear not just those without obvious needs. That being said, the food is great and tailored to any dietary needs. Roy is amazing! He was a major bright spot for me. He helped me finally get heard by physical doctors after 20 years of trying. I found this Treatment Center online and was very scared to call; mostly because I wanted to help save my son from Opioid addiction so much that I was ready to believe anything I was told. From the get-go when Josh answered the call he made me feel comfortable and answered ALL my questions. He understood this was going to be a process and made himself available for any ongoing questions I would have or my son would have. He responded to all of my texts and calls without hesitation. The intake process was very discreet. Normally they pick up patients at the airport and drive them into Tijuana/ Rosarito; but we decided to drive my son all the way there to see the clinic with our own eyes. Aeden and the staff were extremely welcoming and had no problems inviting us in. I don't think it's very common to have families take their patient all the way there; but they never made us feel uncomfortable. Once there Aeden explained the reason the intake process is so discreet; it makes sense. They were very respectful of my son's addiction and never made him feel judged. Aeden took the time to answer our questions and address our concerns while at the same time making my son feel welcomed and (more importantly) understood. We later met Dr Casillas who (again) explained the process. The doc gave our son a full medical review to make sure the treatment was safe for him. The clinic administrator (Valeria) is super nice and was very respectful when it came to handling the payment for the treatment. We even met their doggo- Pancho! The treatment center/ house is very clean and comfortable. They have a full time chef that makes the patients anything they want! They have a large TV with Netflix and even an Xbox. They gave us the WiFi password within the first few minutes. They'll feel right at home while they're there. The view of the ocean is amazing. The beach isn't really accessible but they are a few hundred yards away- so the beach breeze and smell is always enjoyed. They have a heated spa and a sauna room available. We nervously left our son in their hands; but we felt a lot more confident about the center, staff and treatment. Our son stayed for one week (7 days). They housed him, fed him, treated him and cured his addiction pains & withdrawals! My son was allowed a phone so he was always a phone call, text or FaceTime away. They kept us in the loop at all times too. Aeden texted me before, during and after his treatment. By the end of the week my son only spoke praises of Aeden and the entire nursing staff. You could immediately notice that he was transformed by this experience. My son even told me with a huge smile, "It worked!!" He now has a REAL chance at getting his life back and beating his addiction permanently with ongoing behavioral therapy. Experience Ibogaine is the real deal! They genuinely care about their patients. Compared to other places I researched- they are the most affordable. Josh, Aeden, Valeria and the entire staff are great people. When I was picked up they sent a house manager to get me and he really started to ask question and seemed really sincere, when I arrived to the house I was greeted by some of my soon to be roommates and it was amazing how they all seemed to make sure I was good, alder if I needed food or go to the store? They pretty much made me feel very welcomed. Then I started doing the groups and learned a lot about myself! My one on ones with my therapist really made a big difference and I was able to get through a lot of trauma that was the underlying of root causes to some of my addictions. Since I graduated the program and starting to reintroduce myself to regular life. I have no cravings. If I think about using they come and are gone as fast as they came. I have to say that it was the development of the tools and all the classes and group settings. They really help me get through this and prepare me mentally to think of life in a different aspect and realize that I'm how much better person in sobriety than I ever was in my addiction and I'm grateful for everybody at Shoreline counselors therapist staff they all have made a big impact on the person that I am today and moving forward. The entire inpatient program is virtual, there are no therapists on campus, no Drs, even yoga is virtual. The encourage smoking, your counselor will even smoke with you and end group early for longer smoke breaks. You are required to use your cell phone. And you will be able to call your family and friends while you're detoxing them just incase you haven't traumatized them enough. This program is a joke. None of the BFC staff is left. I'd appreciate if someone from the facility would contact me as I can't get in touch with anyone to file a grievance.
