I discovered Dr. Hubbard's practice while searching for a TMS clinic following a recommendation from my therapist for TMS as a new means for treating my longstanding depression and anxiety. Not only did they prove to be the most ideal in terms of distance away, but they also turned out to be one of the most effective TMS clinics in the state. They proved this latter claim by my own fantastic experience undergoing TMS treatments under their effective and supportive care. I was first assessed by Dr. Wycoff (and her lovely dog) and we discussed my background with depression and anxiety. She determined that TMS would be an excellent option for me to utilize after my previous experiences with treatments that were limited to only traditional psychiatric drug-based approaches. A week later I was further assessed by Dr. Hubbard himself who confirmed that I would be an excellent candidate for TMS treatment. Within a few days, my whole treatment plan was scheduled and it began with an initial mapping and the first TMS treatment. Marissa was my TMS technician throughout the entire 36 treatment long process. She was new to the treatment process but she learned quickly under the tutelage of other TMS technicians and I consider myself lucky to have been her first patient. Quickly, TMS treatment became just another part of my regular routine each weekday. I'd say hello to the front desk, fill out my mood questionnaire in the waiting room, and be led to the treatment room by Marissa where we'd chat during the simple and painless treatment process. Before I had started TMS therapy, I had tried talk therapy, psychiatric medication, intensive outpatient programs, and more. But after only a few weeks of not feeling much change through TMS treatment, I began to feel the weight of my depression and anxiety slowly lift off my shoulders. The symptoms of both conditions continued to decrease to the point where I was able to handle a difficult process of seeking, interviewing for, and eventually finding a new job. All the way, I had Marissa in my corner as a stable and encouraging figure as we both navigated the TMS treatments and updates on my job search. Within no time at all, I had reached the half-way check-in point and had only good things to report about my experience with TMS. My daily mood questionnaires also showed that my symptoms were improving over time. I continued throughout the second-half of the TMS therapy process and then shifted into the "taper off" period of the treatment within a few weeks of my half-way check-in. That meant I only had to make it to treatment on every other day for the final two weeks of TMS therapy. And finally, I reached the end of my TMS therapy just as I had accepted an offer for a new job. It was an emotional and mental boon to have TMS throughout the job search process. And I felt ready to enter a new chapter of my life with my depression and anxiety now in check after years of struggling against them. I visited with Dr. Wycoff again a month after my treatment ended and had the chance to say thank you to Marissa and the rest of the staff. To the Office Personnel- I had a congenial experience up until the Psychiatrist dog bite my ankle and fingers as we were in a closed office session. My emergency bill wasn't paid for your dog bite. I lost me medical referral as my insurance only allowed (1) refer all to TMS per year. I lost money and lost the opportunity to finish my TMS treatment as I was in wek 4 out of 8. To say I was scared and eventually disappointed with this medical group is the minimum...I never got a call from this office in apologizing and covering the out of pocket costs for my injuries. I still have two more years to try to sue until statue of limitations sets in..... read more

At the end of your treatment, you can really see the improvement based on the data, not just how you 'feel'. Highly recommended. From the first moment I walked into the beautiful, serene office in Mission Valley I felt and knew I was in a special place of healing. I had been dealing with anxiety and depression for nearly 30 years. My mind had always run in circles, ruminating and to me felt completely uncontrollable. I always felt an excess of fear and felt like I would overreact to even the most minor events. When I experienced two massive extended panic attacks this year I decided I was done trying gratitude and YouTube videos to "fix" my head. I began to search for any and every possible solution. I stumbled onto TMS therapy and had a gut feeling that this treatment could be the one for me. It seemed like a innovative and very interesting process. TMS is also my intitals. So I felt like this was meant to be, serendipitous. Meeting with Dr Hubbard, Dr. Wycoff and Dr. Khan and welcome staff I was absolutely blown away by the care and thoughtfulness of the office. I was blessed to be paired with Maya for my treatments. She is an angel and was a source of inspiration, positivity and hope for my future. I looked forward to every single session. Our conversations were deep and beyond helpful to me during an extremely tough time in my life, She even drew a gorgeous picture of my dog who accompanied me to my appointments. They are even dog-friendly !! My dog is a celebrity when we visit, she LOVES it !! By the end of the sessions the office and every single person there made me feel like family. I miss my session honestly. This place rejuvenated me. The energy of the office and people is off the charts. So calm and peaceful, they even have an atrium. As for my results...At the beginning of the treatment I said my goal would be to look back at the end of treatment and not be able to relate to how I felt at that time. One month past my final treatment I am continuing to improve. Depression and anxiety are virtually non-existent. I don't spin in circles thinking about depressing things anymore. I am enthusiastic for each day. I can sleep all night finally. After about a year of not being able to sleep more than 90 minutes or 2 hours at a time, it is AMAZING to be able to wake up and see it's 8 am instead of 1230 AM, then 2AM, then 330 AM..... Worst doctors office I have ever been to. I started with their PA for psychiatric treatment in fall 2024. had to switch doctors because he was never aware of what medication I was on and I ended up having a medication induced manic episode which put me in the hospital. He also conveniently left that out of his treatment notes. Near death hospitalization doesn't seem like a problem. After continuing with their other doctor I be found that for my appointments he was not aware of my prescriptions either. This office is negligent and dangerous. When I tried to explain my fear and frustration to the office manager she hung up on me twice. My advice is.... Find a doctor who takes pride in practicing medicine, looks after their patients, and isn't just trying to push TMS treatment for testimonials. read more

I had an amazing experience at Dr. Hubbard's office. I received TMS treatment for 6 weeks and then for another 2 weeks when I wasn't feeling like the depression was lifting. I also saw Dr. Hubbard for medication management. I found him to have great bedside manner and to be more knowledgeable than the PA that is in the office. Everyone in the office is so kind, friendly and approachable. The staff really works together well. Avery was especially amazing with dealing with insurance and returning questions almost immediately. He is also always available if you need to check-in on how the treament is going. TMS was a life-changing experience for me. I've always been angry, anxious, depressed, manic, insomniac. My life was full of extreme highs and debilitating lows. I've been with this office and PA Riz Khan for 5 years. Riz is a joy. Even though psychiatry is necessarily more medical and logistical than talk therapy, Riz really seems to care about life updates. He seems so genuinely happy for me when I have successes in life, and immediately jumps into solutions mode when we need to change things or find resources for me. The office admin situation is a bit confusing for me, as the phone tree seems to change several times a year and I feel like I rarely get the same person, but most people are nice enough. read more

I briefly joined the Kaiser healthcare system (probably because of my parents). I returned to my PPO because I needed a better fit regarding my mental health. This is not an easy yelp review for me; mental illness sounds like...well, just that, mental illness. And, if nothing else, I have struggled with an overwhelming need for others' approval my entire life. My emotions played havoc with my focus, productivity, and peace of mind for as long as I can remember. First and foremost, I demand that all my doctors are scientists. An excellent "bedside manner" is pleasing, but I have no time for them when hiring a doctor; I like to get to the point. I have hired five psychiatrists since beginning my search 30 years ago. I have the advantage now of knowing what I don't appreciate in a psychiatric doctor. Dr. Hubbard combines integrity with science. When your health is at stake, you want action, not hand-holding. The correct diagnosis is vital. An understanding of pharmacology is critical. The ability to combine those two successfully equals a satisfied patient. That would be me. I cannot imagine a more intelligent, honest doctor than Bruce Hubbard. He is the gold standard. My journey is worth writing about because someone in need may read this and reach that point sooner. This absolute scumbag retired after nowhere, with no verbal warning whatsoever or chance to get our paperwork. Instead of grandfathering in the only competent person there (Rizwan, who is a great man) and selling the practice, he cut the lines and left us high and dry out of nowhere. I was left without my medication or anywhere to get it from. No referrals, NOTHING. Now, I need to see a new doctor, with NO records to show and prove why I'm on my medications and what my diagnosis is. This is absolute absurdity, and it should be illegal if it isn't already. Now I'm hearing that the doctor was double billing people and all sorts of other shady practices, which breaks my heart because I trusted everyone except the psychologist and Dr. Hubbard (they always gave me creepy vibes, which is why I happily saw Riz) in that office quite literally with my life and sanity. Ok. I'm giving this clinic 3 stars to share my experience. To be clear, this is based on my initial consultations, not any treatment. I've been diagnosed depressive for my entire adult life. The meds I'm on aren't working anymore so I'm looking for alternatives. If you want to try TMS, this is the place for you. That's neither good nor bad; this clinic is just very pro-TMS. They do offer other solutions, but they are very focused on getting you to do TMS. I'm not sure if that's the route I want to take yet. But I feel like if I wanted to try different meds or Spravato (esketsmine), this would not be the place I'd go. I can't even tell you how much this office helped me. I did two sessions of TMS fairly close together (waiting time is three months) and the difference I feel is amazing. I also found out I was ADHD, which I think was a huge help in figuring out why I felt the way I did. I had about. 60-70% reduction in my symptoms. I feel light and brighter, I got a promotion at work, switching into a new career and I got a dog. Life is great and it's thanks to these people. I only do telehealth which I was skeptical about because it's therapy and I'm so used to being in person. it turns out to be awesome.... The real reason I love this office is Dr. Khan is really straightforward and also incredibly insightful. I have been seeing therapists for PTSD for a very long time. I take medication. It's important to me that my doctor be interested in who I am for that reason. Dr. Kahn is really listening. I don't feel like he is listening with an ear of knowing better than myself (even though he does lol) I feel like he is really listening so that he can give me good feedback. I had an extremely bad experience with another TMS provider (Kaizen Brain Center) and also interviewed several other spots. They all tried to milk very large fees and had little to no follow up. Dr. Hubbard's office was the polar opposite. They are extremely caring and were able to get my treatments run through my insurance with zero out of pocket cost to me. They also had very good follow up care and made the doctors available to me throughout the entire experience and the technicians were very professional and polite. I've been going to this psychiatry office for about a year now and I can truly say that it has changed my life. I started out by taking the medications they had prescribed me and when they had offered a treatment called TMS I was intrigued. I did a consultation for it and they had analyzed my OCD, anxiety and depression. Within the next month I had started it and was already feeling good about my decision. TMS changed my life and has helped my OCD in so many ways. My contamination fears and my constant overthinking have gone away dramatically. I feel more confident about who I am and when I speak and I no longer feel the need to de-contaminate myself as soon as I feel like I'm "dirty". I've struggled with severe depression and anxiety my entire life. It's effected my intimate relationships, career, and ability to thrive. After 5 years of therapy including DBT and EMDR, I was referred to Dr. Hubbard's office by my therapist for TMS. She said she has had many patients that have tried TMS, but Dr. Hubbard's office was highly recommended because he gave the best long-lasting results. After seeing them, I think it's the time and care they give during treatment. Everyone at the office is extremely friendly, thoughtful, sweet and calm. Avery, who manages the TMS services, was incredibly helpful, informative, and made everything as easy as possible figuring out health insurance and schedule. During treatment, you have someone dedicated to you that you work with everyday. They are there in the room with you watching, making minor adjustments, and offer friendly conversation if you prefer, all to make sure you are ok. I was incredibly nervous, a machine that stimulates part of your brain, using a magnet to help with deep depression and anxiety. If you look it up online, it seems like a dream treatment. TMS is proven to have long lasting results without any long lasting side effects. So what's the catch? There is some discomfort with the tapping during treatment in the beginning, just headaches and lots of napping, but it gets better after 2 weeks. Imagine a woodpecker tapping at your head for 40 mins. Over the counter pain reliever like Tylenol helped. Also, it was a huge time commitment (6 weeks) and a large chunk of change, but for someone who has been living life on hard mode her entire life, trust me, it is worth it. Today I'm on month 2 of finishing treatment. The headaches and tingles have subsided. I feel much more calm. The depression and anxiety I once had are nearly nonexistent. It saved my relationship, and I feel like it's finally given me the confidence I needed to advance in my career. After 30 years, I feel like I finally know what it's like to feel normal. I couldn't be more thankful for my treatment and experience with Dr. Hubbard's office. It's been quite literally, a life saver. So, thank you! read more

Good luck without a monthly check up + copay fees. They do pretty good work but the cost is high.
