They have done a phenomenal job monitoring so many different personalities and so many different aspects of our recovery journey. They do it with love they do it with Care. They do it with the best of the best who have been through Discovery themselves and and other professionals....Lauren and Alicia and Lucas have been huge with progress for so many people. Personally impacted my life in such a short time already with the love and care that they provide on a daily basis. They have the biggest hearts and take special consideration to everybody's recovery journey. I highly recommend this place. I know that I will never look back in my recovery journey because of the help they have provided! Also, Marcus, Dr. J and so many others.... They are THE BEST!!!!

I am writing this review so other families are warned…read more My 20-year-old son was admitted to Discovery Point Retreat in Ennis following a suicide attempt and substance abuse issues. While under their care, he suffered a seizure and was taken to the hospital. We were never notified, despite being listed as his parents and emergency contacts. After returning from the hospital, Discovery Point did not provide a discharge plan, medication guidance, seizure instructions, or parent communication. Instead, my son was dropped off at a gas station and effectively abandoned. We only learned what had happened after picking him up ourselves. A employee at the facility later acknowledged to us that what occurred was wrong and should not have happened. We were told the situation had been escalated internally to supervisors, and that a new administrator had recently taken over the Ennis location. We were further told that these unsafe discharge practices were tied to changes under this new administration and that similar incidents had occurred previously. We repeatedly contacted leadership at both the Ennis and Waxahachie locations seeking explanation or help. No one has taken responsibility. No one has followed up. Reading recent reviews, it is deeply disturbing to see nearly identical stories involving medical emergencies, lack of family notification, unsafe discharges, and abandonment. This appears to be a pattern, not an isolated incident. Due to the seriousness of what occurred, we are contacting the Texas Attorney General's Office, the Ellis County District Attorney's Office, the Better Business Bureau, our insurance provider, News channels and legal counsel. What happened here is not just unprofessional, it is dangerous. If this has happened to you or your loved one and you are reading this, please consider reporting it to the appropriate authorities so this does not continue happening to vulnerable people. Feel free to contact me if you need help reporting john at proudarts dot com If your loved one is suicidal, detoxing, medically unstable, or in crisis, do not trust this facility. What happened to my son could have ended tragically.

I will be forever grateful to everyone at this facility. I recommend this facility to any person that wants to learn tools and put in the work to find a new way to live. The treatment team (and it was a team including a medical professional for med management, therapist for mental health, addiction counselor, case manager, and nursing staff) worked tirelessly to ensure I received all the support I needed to start my recovery journey. The curriculum is the best I ever had at treatment. Choices of morning meditations, DBT, CBT, Trauma Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Yoga, Wilderness training and then treats, as long as you were participating in therapy, such as horse back riding and zipline. The staff is there to ensure you focus on therapy. I was shocked they cleaned the rooms and did your laundry for you. The food was good with multiple choices including an amazing salad bar. I was there to change my life and found the tools desperately needed. This was not a resort but I wasnt there to vacation. I was there to change my life and did.

Joey,Jessica,Julee, stormy, Robby,Bobby are just a few of the staff I can say when I needed help, they would drop what they were doing and had an open door policy. Shae at the PHP level also was so amazing! But I have to give this warning, the program director JON, is very difficult to deal with. I know I can only speak foe myself but I have also heard from multiple people how he doesn't really seem to care about his clients that PAY to come there. He doesn't seem so out anymore effort into writing updates for your insurance company and he is vey judgmental as him not being an addict/alcoholic himself. But other than him I love Vertava!

This is hands down the best Sober Living I have ever seen. The house itself is amazing. Large…read moreprivate rooms with huge TV's, queen beds with all new mattresses and high thread count linens. Only the best. That's how they do it at Elements. From the Breville espresso maker to the grand piano in the living room, or the putting green out back and egg smoker on the deck. And it's situated in the warm niche neighborhood of Lakewood, right in Swiss Avenue in the heart of Dallas. The area is like a small borough in NYC, where you can see the beautiful skyline as you walk to anywhere you need to go, like trendy and quality restaurants, spa treatments, haircuts, banks, even the gym which they provide memberships for clients. Location is important because it puts residents in close proximity to a ton of people in recovery, and different recovery meetings nearby. There are several A.A., NA, Dharma, and SMART recovery meetings nearby, and weekly they have an NA meeting and a Dharma recovery meeting at the house which are both excellent and well attended. But the really precious thing about Elements is the people. The residents are all highly motivated towards recovery and supportive of one another. The house manager is vigilant and committed to keeping residents on track. Drug testing weekly and breathalyzers every night. He also coordinates and participates in community service events like feeding the homeless. The Sober Coach is one of the best in the country. He is instrumental in reframing the situation as it applies to each individual and their long term recovery goals. He helps with relationships and communication with loved ones and advocates for the residents. He leads outreach ventures eg to maximum security prisons and includes residents in these outings. The Life Coach is one of the smartest people I've ever met. She helps residents with everything from the simple tasks of linking bank accounts where they need to go, to formalizing and updating their resumes and doing interview prep. And all of them are networked all over DFW and can get the resident in front of of exactly the right people to achieve their objectives. I've seen residents come through here and transform their lives for the better, improving their relationships, education, and career opportunities. It's a beautiful thing to see the positive transformation that occurs during a resident's time at Elements and working with the team. Highest rating. I could not endorse more emphatically. Five Stars. I sincerely appreciate this place, these people, and what they do.

I was late because my spouse had a diabetic emergency! We had to stop and get him something to boost his sugars or he would have DIED! But the bitch in the office didn't care, wouldn't even listen to what had happened! I'm sorry, but the health of my spouse is vastly more important to me than being on time for a ridiculous appointment, it doesn't matter who or what the appointment is for. NOTHING! Believe me, after sitting there for over 30 minutes on several occasions waiting on the doctor (often because the staff didn't bother to let him know I was there) and I never complained once! But let me be just a few minutes late and I get counted as a NO SHOW and charged a $50 fee which must be paid before you can return! And if you're white you get treated badly by the reception staff. Very badly! I CALL BULLSHIT ON THIS PLACE!! Dr. Williams hasn't been a bad doctor. But his staff is awful! Stay away from this place!! Also, you have to really watch those bitches. Any provocation, the smallest issue, and they try to LOCK YOU IN THE HOSPITAL!! I don't know what your situation is or why you might be thinking about going here. Take it from my several years experience, whatever your problem go to a regular hospital or see someone else! This place will only make you worse!! Find help somewhere else!!
