This review is based on one meal, so your experience may vary, but I can definitely say do not order their omelet and buyer beware on the blue cheese salad. The I ordered a ham, cheese, and mushroom omelets. What I received was a scramble that was oddly burnt on the outside and raw egg in the middle. The blue cheese salad was described as "Mixed greens, blue cheese crumble, walnuts, apples, and toasted with house dressing." What I got was iceberg lettuce, onions, avocados and a generic blue cheese dressing. It did taste good, but it was a far cry from the menu. The dining experience was confusing. I sat at a table, and did not see a sign to order at window. The counter server saw me seated for several minutes and did not saw anything to me. I had to ask another diner. The seating is pleasant under a canopy surrounded by trees. The traffic from Krome is annoying during the daytime, but I imagine at night it would be a pleasant experience. A wonderful little cafe serving up some of the best Cuban breakfast I've had! We stopped in on our way down from Miami to the Keys and I ordered the Ranch-style breakfast with a pastelito and coffee. A super simple breakfast, but everything was delicious! The fresh salsa had a lot of good bite to it and was perfect slathered all over the eggs. The home-style fried potatoes also were nice and crispy. The coffee and guava pastelito were everything I want in a Cuban bakery and made a great sweet treat for the end of the meal! A fun little place to eat in Homestead! If you like a Cuban food it's worth the trip! Prices were good and portions were also great. Actually I tried this restaurant for the first time. I only went because of the reviews it received. I have passed in front of this location so many times I lost count and I would want to go in. It was the traditional little hole in the wall restaurant. Inside was counter only and very small. Isn't that the best places and I said the reviews can't be wrong. I'm glad I did. We stopped here for a quick bite on our way to the Keys. All we had to do was go north on US 1 from the turnpike for about a mile instead of south and man are we glad we did! So delicious and accommodating! We both had the 2 egg breakfast which included potatoes, toast and your choice of ham, bacon or sausage (well my husband had two of them lol) and I asked mine to be pressed on Cuban bread. New Corralito Cafe was such a great breakfast spot for our trip to Homestead and the Everglades! It's a small, cute little spot with delicious breakfast food. We got the ranch style eggs that came with guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, black beans, French fries, toast, and a tortilla. It's was cheap for the amount of food you got, and everything was very fresh. The tortillas were very hot when it came out to the bar where we were sitting. I was in South Florida for a work trip which means one thing: I try to consume as much good Cuban food and coffee as possible while I can. I stopped in on my way to a meeting, purely out of convenience, and ordered a cafe con leche and a guava pastellito. The coffee was delicious and the pastry was extra flaky and wonderful. I of course made a huge mess in the car with the pastry but it was definitely worth it! Parking was easy and I was in and out in under 5 minutes despite there being 2 buses in the parking lot. I've come to this place several times in the last 5 years, and even recommended it to friends as a nice little place to eat down south in Homestead, but the last 2 times I visited the food quality was bad, and even thought in not a complainer by nature I mentioned it to them. The 1st time I complaint they were receptive and customer service driven which let me to visit again today 12/12/18, but this time when I mentioned that my Picanha meat was barely chewable, the lady/manager/owner repeatedly stated that they sell a lot of the same without complaints. Have she been more receptive I would not have posted this review, but her standoffish attitude compels me to warm others. As for me, I'll eat somewhere else when I come to Homestead from now on.
