Deviated from our norm and came here to try a different breakfast spot. Typical old country joint with the tv going. Waitress was super nice. She suggested the fresh squeezed OJ which was very good. But not for 6$ a cup. We also had coffee. First cup was burnt and second cup was watered down. I had ham and cheese omelette with home fries and rye bread. Everything was flavorless. Omelette was pretty basic and with what I only imagine was Kraft cheese. 2 bites of the home fries and no more. No taste, half raw, half burnt (same piece)... Not even good with ketchup and Cholula. My bf had corned beef hash with eggs. He wasn't a fan. I took a bite of the corn beef hash and it was ok. He didn't eat his home fries either. They were not good at all. We also shared 2 blueberry pancakes. I took one bite and spit it out. I don't know what I put it my mouth but it tasted horrible, like a chemical or something. 65$ for breakfast including tip is a little pricy. Especially if the food isn't good. I came here based on stellar reviews, and was dismayed. The food was just subpar and nothing I couldn't make myself. Portions were okay--nothing great, I'd even say kind of small. Service was ok--again, nothing special. Plus it was eerily quiet--not even music playing in the background. I definitely would not return. read more

Great place for breakfast or lunch. They serve American favorites and have the BEST chili you've ever tasted. Homemade and loaded with meat. So good! They always have breakfast specials like a garden omelette, banana almond French toast, and excellent grits! For lunch, their chicken sandwich is always good as is their BLT club. Classic and fresh. This place is a hidden gem! I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a breakfast/brunch place. It's a family own business and they are so friendly! This is our second time here and we love it. The food portions are generous and the pricing is great. I ordered the chili cheese omelette, it was delicious. It has a kick to it, but not too spicy, it was also a little sweet. My husband ordered the chorizo and cheese omelet, it's full of flavor. My 7 month old baby even likes the food. She had a blueberry pancake and it had a generous amount of blueberries. The grits are really good, even their toast is well buttered and delicious. Also, the service is quick! Went at around 11am on a weekday because I wanted to try something different in my area. I had passed this place I don't know how many times when I went to the plaza. Saw it on yelp and it was close. Figured why not. I was the one of three parties there. The server immediately asked me if I was dining in. She immediately asked what I wanted to drink and had me sitting with a menu in less than a minute. My cafe con leche was in a huge cup and was nice and hot. I'm not a fan of too hot so I asked for ice. But it would have been so good if I had been cold. I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with home fries. I was not a fan of the fries, it was more like just diced potatoes. I had been expecting maybe potato wedges or thick cut. But I was expecting actual fries. I didn't care for their taste. It felt like just cut potatoes sautéed some, no real flavor to them. The omelette was good. Nice portion as well. Maybe if I would have liked the potatoes or if I would have ordered a different side, I would have said it was a good price. But I think it's a little pricey compared to all the other cafes and similar styled restaurants in the area. All in all, I wouldn't come for breakfast. I might try lunch because the prices don't look too bad for that. By myself I spent $15 with tip included. read more

We loved Loly's!! Have lived in Homestead for years and never tried it until recently. We went there for lunch and my husband ordered the dolphin sandwich, it was fresh and delicious! Since Bobbi Jo's closed down, my bike group has found Loly's for a place to stop after a long ride, eat some breakfast before biking back to civilization. It may be the endomorphines kicking in, or maybe I was just really hungry, but the pancakes were excellent and hit the spot! I guess I needed some carbs in a bad way. The bacon was not as successful, as it did not seem fresh, but pulled out of a stainless steel pan kept warm on the griddle, that was filled with bacon strips cooked over an hour ago. Note to Loly's cook: don't save time by cooking all the bacon ahead of time, I'm not in a hurry. Gimme fresh bacon! It's a little hole-in-the-wall located in a big hole-in-the-wall strip shopping center that has a Winn-Dixie but not much else. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were about what you should expect, as they do need to pay the rent. No need for a special trip, but if you're in the area, stop in for breakfast sometime. read more

I've been coming here for breakfast since I moved to Homestead. This is one of our favorite breakfast places, its what my father calls a greasy spoon: ( youngsters Google it). Its a locals place so don't expect the fake facade you get from the chain restaurants. The cafe con leche is huge and 2nd best in town. I never order from the menu I always order from the specials board which has all kinds of different stuff. There omelets, pancakes & waffles are great. With most breakfast you have options stick with the hash browns the home fries are lacking . You also can have Cuban toast instead of regular toast which is a nice soflo touch . I never had a bad experience as far as service . Everyone has always been super nice and very friendly when you go in. Plus the old timers that go in there don't have to even say a word they already know the order. The first review was obviously not a local but a wayward tourist .we won't hold it against him. I have been going to Loly's for breakfast for 4 years now and I would like to say the eggs are cooked perfect every time! Delicious corned beef hash, pancakes, bacon all of it. American and Cafe con Leche available. Service is fast and the food comes out in a timely manner. The lady's who work there dress clean and are very friendly. The place is a bit small but I have never waited more than 5 minutes to get a table. Don't often eat dinner there but had the meatloaf once and was very good. Even though it says Latin cafe outside they have some great American cuisine as well. read more

Breakfast doesn't get any better!!! The sign on the outside says Latin Cuisine, which they do have, but they also have the best grits and eggs in town, and this comes from a transplanted country girl. Omelettes are top notch as are the meat choices, yummy bacon, sausage and corned beef hash. Great coffee and my 7 year old loves that the hot chocolate comes in a giant bowl mug. While we usually go for breakfast, the lunch and dinner options that we've tried have been great too. The place is small and not at all fancy, definately a greasy spoon kind of place as another reviewer stated. I understand that decor can be a deciding factor but I've been to prettier places where the food wasn't nearly as tasty. With that said the place is quiite comfortable and often full of friendly locals and retirees who give us a smile and chat with us a bit even as my toddler makes a ruckus :) As a parent of three young ones I really appreciate the kindness of the staff and regulars. read more
