Charmaine was very helpful, she answered all of my questions with patience and knowledge. She solved my particular issue with my Mother's monthly bill and was very helpful. This sad excuse for a business managed my townhouse association for several years. The assigned manager, who I will not name directly, was unprofessional, angry, and incredibly abusive. This money-hungry business will charge a $258 trip fee to change a light bulb and defend it as reasonable. If you're on the fence about a management company, go somewhere else. I have made maintenance requests from for the past 3 years to have things done that went unheeded. They had Truseal in Inver Grove Heights replace the stairs at our townhouse (they are the property managers) over a month ago because they were crumbling. The concrete residue on our driveway has remained for over a month. Despite repeated emails, the response I received today was "The Association has decided to not pay to have your driveway cleaned. It will go away on it's own eventually." As you can see, it has not gone away. We are listing our house for sale and the residue is obviously an eyesore and not conducive to pictures for our listing. I have numerous other stories to tell. read more

I have tickets upon tickets that have been ignored, enails ignored, voicemails ignored. this causes issues, that become large problems and then it comes out of our association fund to fix. I tried to call today, and they sent me to boucemail and when i called back, they never answered. Shady business management. read more

This company is the worst management team I ever experienced. They are managing our Townhomes in Maple Grove MN and they are so bad that they never respond to any of our emails or work requests. That kind of management I would call very unprofessional and disrespectful. They would hire vendors to do some projects of their choice around our complex but they would never check if those vendors completed properly their jobs or how they did the final work. Our monthly zoom meetings are locked and no one is able to connect to them because They don't want to hear from us as residents what needs to be done or what is necessary or to share with us what is their plan to do it. They created dashboards for residences as a tool of communication but no one responded to them either. As a management group, they don't offer much and we are looking forward to replacing them with a better group. read more

Apparently, there's no follow up as to contractor performance. When roofing contractor's workmanship caused leaks, they deny the claim to fix it. When my garage floor sank, nothing. The lawn is so far gone that I'm considering putting down new sod myself. NCM certainly won't address it. read more

*WARNING* DO NOT live at any property "managed" by this company. They rob you blind. I have lived in one of their communities for 3 years. Each year, raising the HOA dues, while changing nothing. They keep their "public green space" field nicely green, watered and mowed for appearances... while not giving a shit about residents yards that barely have any grass, are patchy and dying. Winter time... Think they'll shovel for ya? Eh, sometimes. But make sure you have a shovel, cause most of the time they take over 12 hours from a snow to even make it over. Is there work that needs to be done on the building (roofing, siding, etc.)? Careful - they'll hire companies that are NOT qualified, who hire random people who have no experience doing construction. Trust me, I know, because they did such a piss poor job that after the work they did, it rained and my entire entry way flooded. And do you think the HOA got someone better to fix it? NOPE. Same people. They had to rip out my wall, floor and ceiling, and the work they did was TERRIBLE. You can see every place they had to fix. If you have any other types of issues while living there, most likely you will get a response of, "there's nothing we can do"... so basically, you're on your own. I tried to think of any positive comments and I truly can not. There has been a new property manager every few months - so that tells you that they probably don't do right by their employees either. I am now selling my townhome--thank GOODNESS. However, just to get documents for the resale, they charge $200! For some paperwork!! Then today I find out I need ANOTHER document that they didn't include in the resale packet, and this document is another $75. It's absolutely RIDICULOUS. read more

The condos are fine as a place to live, just hope you never have to interact with the association. Rachel in particular is pretty awful. I rent from owners who spend most of the year in Florida, and the association refuses to talk to me even though the owners have specifically requested that I have permission to speak for them. When I had a plumbing issue that affected multiple units, the association allowed some units to bill them, but told me that was not an option and would not reimburse me when I paid up front. They would not acknowledge that the problem was in multiple units despite emails I had from other owners and told me I was lying that they paid for the other units, even when I had that information directly from the owners. They also turn off water without warning. There are some shady business practices going on here, renters and buyers beware! read more

We are a 100 unit townhome association. We hired NCM because of irreconcilable differences with our former management company. Of course they were going to be "different". Riiiight. That lasted about a minute. I contacted NCM about some dead plants in front of my unit. I wanted clarification because while exterior landscaping is an association responsibility, but due to budget constraints they have not been replacing them. The next day the plants were replaced. Sweet! A week or so later I got an email saying the plants were replaced and my statement would reflect the change. That sounds like a bill to me, so I replied back with a screenshot of the regulations and saying that I was seeking clarification, and that if I was going to be charged there needed to be another exchange of emails staing the charges and getting my ok. Furthermore, had I known it was my dime I expected input in the replacement shrubs or more likely would have just done it myself. I never did get a reply, but my monthly ACH payment was the same so I assume that was straightened out. We have also had a deck project that has been ongoing for over 8 months that started when the prior management was still on board. I have had siding missing from my home all Fall, Winter and, well, it's STILL missing. When I informed NCM that it was starting to smell musty in the area affected, NCM's response was that the contractor would do a moisture test and that I would be responsible for any interior damage, this despite the fact it was contractor negligence that caused any potential issues. I replied that was ridiculous, as I had no involvement whatsoever other than having the misfortune of owning the home. A few days later I sent a follow up asking why there is no sense of urgency in getting the siding fixed if I am responsible for damage. I have not gotten a reply. Lousy communication. Lousy attitudes. Lousy pick of a manager. read more

This is a horrendous management company and the neighbor who continues to single us out in our neighborhood have major problems. This company has borderline discriminated against me and my husband. When we first moved into our rental, we were unaware of the HOA rules. We received an aggressive letter posted on our front door the next week about not following rules and a fine. Our other neighbors left their trash cans in sight for well over a week and they didn't receive a fine nor a threatening letter. If you're thinking about working with them, please do your neighborhood a HUGE favor and look elsewhere for better business elsewhere--don't just take the other reviewers' reviews with a grain of salt. read more

I've lived in a condo for several years managed by NC. The service and response to needs here have greatly improved since Nanci T. assumed the position of HOA manager to our condos in Eagan. She responds immediately to requests and oftentimes after hours and on weekends. It's not easy trying to please so many individuals when it comes to their home and their check book but Nanci works hard at balancing many projects. read more

Avoid New Concepts Management at all costs! I was a homeowner and on the board of a condo assoc. in a Mpls suburb which was managed by New Concepts Management (NCM). Initially they were very attentive to our needs, things ran smoothly and they asked for our feedback on a regular basis. After about 3 - 4 years I noticed that their response times got much worse, some of our priorities slipped through the cracks and didn't get completed on time and they never asked for our feedback. We also started to notice a pattern of billing from NCM's maintenance subsidiary "Start to Finish" - We noticed Start to Finish had a consistent amount of invoicing. Some of the work they would find was unsolicited, i.e. Start to Finish would drive by and find things to fix/repair - some times they were fixing their own errors and billing us for it. We investigated and found among other things double billing by Start to Finish - NCM never apologized, just gave us our money back. NCM's accounting department missed simple errors - example: NCM's "preferred" CPA billed us for work that was performed for a different association. NCM's accounting department paid the invoice in error. I discovered the error and brought it to NCM's and the CPA's attention. We got our money back. We began to look for a new management company - but before we hired a new company NCM fired us and another association in our neighborhood and left us in a lurch. I see that the two members of their "leadership" that we dealt with are still at NCM. You should avoid NCM - there are other property management companies that will do better for you. read more

Over the past couple months I had the opportunity to interact with this company and found their company to respond to my issues in an untimely manner. I have worked at the Executive Management Level and might have higher expectations than many people, but when mid level people in a company respond quickly with correct information I reward them well. New Concepts Management Group has not responded quickly and I penalize them for that. read more

They keep the grounds looking decent but unfortunately some management are very rude. (Vice President Paul B especially ). The few times (2-3 times in the 14 years i lived there) I had to contact him about legit problems he treated me like i was a nuissance and was rude to me. We are customers but they treat you like they are working AGAINST you. Its not comfortable living in an association where you feel management is out to get you. If you are already in an association run by them please dont let them treat you like crap. Go up the chain of command until you find someone who will listen to you. read more

Very poor. I received a threatening letter telling me I had to fix something on the exterior that THEY should have fixed years ago! This is just the latest in their "It's not my job" attitude. One half bucketful of water poured into my laundry room & they claimed it was not due to the poorly installed new roof. Last October, Brian Sneltjes gave approval for homeowners to hang plastic jack-o-lanterns over the exterior lights on the homes creating a fire hazard and also made the street a lot darker and less safe. read more

I recently purchased a condo that they manage. Let me say, if I knew what I know now-no matter how great this condo is otherwise-I would have NEVER purchased it. They absolutely never answer the phone when you call. IF they call you back it's several hours later. Very poor service. I think they realize you are pretty much stuck so you have to put up with their antics! Please think twice about living in their properties. I was able to get out of this mess and I am very thankful for that. Renting seems to be a better fit. I also did want to mention when I was there, a mixup occured with my association dues. They were putting someone else's money into my account. I asked them several times why my dues were so low..They convinced me I had a credit, until the person who they were NOT crediting came to my door. They had confused the two accounts. They were not at all sorry and demanded full payment of three month's of dues! Earlier they had told me to go spend the money! Meanwhile I had a very unhappy neighbor blaming me and threatening me-obviously she was not a sane person. The other issue you need to watch out, when I moved in-I received a letter that my plumbing was leaking down to the neighbor's apt and it was my duty to "take care of it". I had a plumber come out and the problem was in the walls, I should have NOT paid for it. I felt like it was a bad start right of the bat! I was bullied and made to feel miserable about this leak that I had no knowledge of. The lovely previous owner did not disclose it! read more
