I don't even want to give this guy one star but it won't post my review unless I do…read more On April 13, 2018, Mr. Clore gave us an estimate for a ramp for my 97 year old Veteran father. He required 75% in cash or check up front and promised to install the week of 4/23/18. Well that week came and went and no install and no phone call explaining why the delay. I reached out to him and his excuse was it rained all week. On Friday, May 4th said he was short a ramp and asked for the drawing my husband made of the front porch area. I sent it back to him and he said it would be 3 working days before the missing section would be delivered. I asked then if he would be out the following Wednesday or Thursday, May 9 or 10, to which he replied yes. Thursday came and went and no contact from Jim Clore. I reached out to him and he said he was sick but was ready to install. I asked when he would be out and he said hopefully tomorrow (May 11th). On Friday, May 11th he sends me a text that says he's still sick and will be out Monday, May 14. I send him a text on Monday asking what time he will be out to install, his reply was he was still feeling sick and hoping in the afternoon. I told him if he wasn't out by Wednesday May 16th then to please refund my deposit. He replied he would "handle it". On Wednesday, May 16th, he sent a text saying the weather wasn't cooperating and would try to get out if there was a "sunshine break". He never showed up and no call or text. On Monday May 21 he asks if Wednesday May 23 is ok to come install. I replied they were calling for rain that day and he likely wouldn't be out then either. I told him if he was not out on Wednesday, then I expect a full refund. I text him Wednesday morning asking what time and he replied, "I'll have to issue the refund. I have to get an incoming deposit cleared and I'll get you a check before the weekend". I told him I will come by and pick it up; not to mail it. He said he would call me Friday when it was ready. I never got that call (gee who would have guessed). I text him Tuesday, May 29 saying I would be by to pick up the check from his address. His reply was that he no longer maintains that office and he would be by to hand deliver it to me today, May 30. Guess what??? You got it, no show by Mr Clore. During all this, I researched Jim Clore and Access Mobility and discovered he has been running this scam for a long time. He was featured on NBC4 Responds in 2017. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/Accessibility-Equipment-Company-Fails-to-Deliver-for-Several-Paid-Customers-416981713.html There are complaints on Ripoff Report. https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/access-mobility-llc/fredericksburg-virginia-22407/access-mobility-llc-jim-clore-i-purchased-a-stair-climber-and-gave-hime-a-check-for-3200-1349814 Multiple complaints on BBB. https://www.bbb.org/richmond/business-reviews/wheelchair-ramps/access-mobility-equipment-llc-in-fredericksbrg-va-63402402/reviews-and-complaints?section=complaints He even made Angie's list but not in a good way. https://www.angieslist.com/companylist/us/va/fredericksburg/access-mobility-equipment-llc-reviews-7926488.htm I could go on but you get the idea. According to his website, he also services SC and MD. I'm spreading the word there too through the rehab facilities. I am a Registered Nurse, work in an Acute Care Rehab hospital for a home health agency, and have many contacts in the construction industry in this area as well as the aging community. I meet many people every day, all day long that could benefit from his services but I purposefully steer them away from this thief. Furthermore, I will continue to tell this to my professional contacts in the rehab and aging communities. I am sick that even if I was to get our refund back, it would be at the expense of another veteran or elderly person who's money he stole to repay us. He is a blight to our industry.

His clothing was also unprofessional. I informed him that I am highly allergic to marijuana exposure (throat tightening, facial and eye burning), and he confirmed he had smoked before entering my home. Because of this, I asked him to leave for health and safety reasons. He did apologize. I want to be clear that the company itself handled my complaint extremely well. They were apologetic, took the situation seriously, credited my delivery, and promptly sent a second technician who was clean, professional, and respectful. This review reflects a poor hiring or screening decision--not the company's response, which was excellent. I appreciate how quickly they corrected the situation. Furthermore, the hospital bed served its purposes and was delivered within 2 days of ordering.

My partner and I frequently visit the northern Virginia Falls Church area about once or twice a month. During our recent stay, his motorized scooter stopped working, and we found ourselves in a tough situation. Being far from home, it was imperative for him to maintain mobility, especially since we needed to have the scooter serviced. Unfortunately, it was impossible to have it serviced after 6 PM because the necessary part wasn't readily available and had to be ordered. When I called Medical House, Darrius answered and went above and beyond to assist us. He remained on the phone after closing hours to explain everything clearly regarding the rental of a motorized wheelchair scooter. Thanks to his help, we were able to work it out and pick up the motorized wheelchair we rented for a month at a very reasonable price. What truly sets Medical House apart is the genuine care they demonstrate. There was absolutely no pressure to make a purchase; it felt clear that they are dedicated to helping people rather than just making a sale. As a small business, their commitment to customer service is commendable, and I'm thrilled to support them. My partner is a disabled veteran, and it means a lot to find a business that truly understands and caters to our needs. Thank you once again, Andrew and Darrius! I sincerely hope Medical House continues to thrive for many years to come.
