My family and I have eaten at the location on numerous occasions although not for a couple years because we moved away from the area. We decided to eat there for convenience because we were in a hurry and knew we could eat quickly because it's a buffet. This time the decor had been ever so slightly altered but it was very familiar. We arrived for dinner and we were very pleased that the food was so fresh! The restaurant had many busy tables and the white fish wash delicious! Cooked in a light sauce with scallions it just came out of the kitchen and I was surprised. The ribs were very good and the beef with onions was also very good. New Asian buffet is a fairly priced and decent buffet. It isn't amazingly lavish or classy but for what you pay and what you get, I'd say it is better than the 2.4 rating it currently has; The place is clean, the service is good, the employees ask if you'd like refills and take away empty plates in a timely manner. Don't go in expecting a 3 michelin star restaurant but I will say, it is a fine restaurant with decent food and friendly workers. read more

First, the people are not very pleasant. I came right around 3:30 which is the restaurant's cutoff time for lunch vs dinner. Not really paying attention I asked how much and was immediately given the higher dinner price for a half empty, cold buffet. Food was as cheap as quantity as one can imagine. Also, as mentioned mostly empty, few choices and cold! This was bad by any objective standards. When I got the check I asked "why no fortune cookie?" Asian buffet deleted my review , so, here we go again.My family visit this buffet quite often and lately we have noticed the decline of the food quality and standards of the food safety such as a temperature of the food served. Last few times we visited this establishment the temps of the hot dishes were definitely below the food safety standards, as we noticed this , we thought it may be just one or two times off. But I ate lunch there lately at 11 am (when they just opened for business) all the "hot" dishes were on the edge of cold / warm . The only hot was a soup station. At their all-time worst. Tried them again to see if they were any better than last time but no, they were worse. All food was ice cold , the soup was cold and very salty. There was very little Susie out and what that was was not prepared well. There weren't any spare ribs, General Cho's chicken, peel and eat shrimp, crab legs, spring rolls. The broccoli and some dishes what's so overdone that it was disintegrating. I tried some beef pepper steak and it was sickening sweet and the beef was rancid. At one time this place was decent but since covid 2 years ago they are just plain disgusting. Save your money and go to tsunami a few minutes away. This is the last time I will try Asian buffet. Very fresh dinner!! I love this little buffet. It's the very few restaurants I love and it has snow crab legs!!! I recommend this restaurant hands down. Forget about the Taco Bell and McDonalds, this is worth your money I guarantee it. They have sushi as well!!! I'm just in love, it's very rare to find this buffet this north of Newyork city. Went to check this place out as we had to be in Honesdale to pick up a couple of items from Home Depot. Saw this buffet and thought it would be marginal at best. Some of the previous reviews hit the nail on the head though. First and foremost, it's not a good buffet style offering and secondly and most important the asian food is atrocious! Have been going to this restaurant for quite a few years now. Have watched it go through many changes, some good, some great and some making no sense at all!! The old owners were wonderful to deal with and always made sure you were happy with your service and food. If you had any questions they were more than happy to answer them. When the new owners came in I thought at first that they would also be nice but as time has passed I've become very unhappy with the Asian Buffet. One of the biggest draws of this buffet has always been the snow crab legs. The old owners started it and the new owners were supposed to continue it. Now it has always been my experience and understanding that an all you can eat buffet is just that, All You Can Eat!! Not what the owners decide you can eat!! At first the new owners put out piles of crab legs just like the old owners did. Then they started to bring them out by the plate full, and not very often at that!! Then this past summer they stopped having crab legs completely!! When asked why they said because people asked for raw fish instead. Now when I've been there I always hear people ask about crab legs. I've asked if they will be bringing back the crab legs and was told they don't know. So I guess right now I don't know if I'll be going back. My husband and I ate here. We are so sorry that we didn't go to Two Guys instead the food sucks. The ice cream containers were empty and looked old. The beef and Broccoli was terrible. Dad and I went for lunch. It was excellent. I tried the seaweed salad for the first time, it was spicy and good. I enjoyed the shrimp and imitation crab with vegetables. The salmon is amazing. The sushi is very good. The Peking ravioli and the dim sum are great. Good crab rangoon. Excellent sauteed mushrooms. Great rice noodles. Good options of fruit and ice cream, though I am a diabetic and just took a lemon wedge for my water. I liked the spring roll, egg roll, and the other fried items, the chicken fingers and wings are good. I liked the crunch friend zucchini slices. I felt the price was affordable and the service attentive and very kind. I would have had the soup which in the past is always great, but we were full. Next time we'll start with soup maybe. Great buffet that has fresh hot food ranging from soups, salids, traditional asain food, sushi, crab legs and dessert... Including ice cream. Kids loved it under 10 is half price. You dont have to do the buffet you can order from a menu I think... Definately can do take out. Tea was delicious. Gave it five stars for what it is an asain buffet with good cheap food not that it is a fancy deluxe 5 star restuarant but it worth the visit. read more

Well, this place has had some management changes over the years and the last time it re-opened under new management, it was GREAT!! We had gone there a few times over the course of 2 years and each time we noticed something wrong. Some food was luke warm, some had obviously been sitting for way too long and some of the food was so bad you could not eat it. There was less and less shrimp to be found. The cold style crab legs were the worst I have ever had anywhere. Too small and nearly impossible to extract from the shell. Peel and eat shrimp was not always available like it used to be. This place has gone downhill and is once again being mismanaged! I will never go there again unless it changes hands. It is not a good idea to serve less than mediocre food in any restaurant. The customers will decide if you get to stay open. The owners of the Asian Buffet should check out the Royal Buffet in Dickson city to see how a successful Chinese restaurant does it. read more

You will crave fried noodles, steamed pork buns, pot stickers, wonton soup, and gen Tso's chicken...but you will leave feeling full of sweet, syrupy, richly greasy, mostly carby, been sitting out for a while, blah, with burps that taste monotone regardless of all the different foods you piled on your plate(s) and hoped for a smorgasbord of flavors. This is my second time here, no third time for me. Lunch is cheaper...dinner is $12. But tastes like regret. I want to be positive--looks like a small business, family joint...but golly, someone needs to wake up this place. Jarred olives & pickles next to dessert items weirds me out. Shucked clams on the shell in Honesdale with fluorescent lighting does too. The place could have a packed house many nights of the week---even steal crowds from the Alpine or Main st. But the food and atmosphere just aren't there. But nobody cares, I guess. read more
