Good library, for study, your, reading, kids, student auction and etc Pretty big and spacious. Lots of books, videos, free computer use for guests up to 15 min. A supper quiet study room that fits 3 tables only.

Beautiful, well kept building, knowledgeable and attentive personnel, a wide variety of programs for young and old. A local gem.

I love this library. It's the perfect size for a small town like North Andover…read more The librarians are very kind and helpful and can help you find a book or whatever you may need. The benefit of this library is that it's part of the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium, a network of 36 public libraries in northeast Massachusetts. So if this library doesn't have what you need and you have a library card, a librarian can check to see if the item is at a library in a nearby town. Wifi connection is usually pretty good and there's plenty of computers available for use. There's three large tables with power strips which are great if you're working or a studying on a laptop. Plenty of free parking spaces (unlike Andover, where you will most likely need to pay a few dollars to park). If I were to critique one thing about this library, it would be how the book categories are organized. It can be hard to discern different genres or types of books unless you're a Dewey decimal system expert. The signs they do have for categories are very broad (ie "biographies") so you may take a while to find a specific book.

This is my local library, I've been going here to borrow books since kindergarten. It's a pretty…read morebuilding, kind of getting run down though. I'd like to give it the full 5 stars, but North Andover is a small town, hence they have a small library. They don't always have exactly what you're looking for on the shelf. But they get an "A" for effort, just ask one of the resource librarians and they can get whatever you need from one of the other local libraries. Sometimes in a day or two. You can also put books on reserve online which is nice too.

There were these AMAZING 70's white molded plastic egg-shaped chairs in the children's room that I can not even begin to describe. Anyone have a photo? Epic... "Mork from Ork" (early Robin Williams!) is all I can think of-Amazing! In 1994, our family finally moved to Salem & Kelly Library became a more permanent part of my life. Outstanding things happened here & I have such fond memories of peering over to "SHS" wondering what life would be like there. I lived it. I made the trek from Kelly to Salem High more than a few hundred times. I sent my very first email from this library... which led to my first concert in Los Angeles, and ultimately led to me meeting my future husband in 1998. We've been married 18 years now! I recently revisited Kelley Library & it has only changed minutely. Beautiful. No more chocolate brown restrooms. Same "books for sale section", so nice! I can still see my dear father (who died 10/3/18 ) standing in the stairwell reading a western novel waiting for my mom, my sister & me. I miss the fabulous metal sculptures that adorned the front lawn. But...they probably were not safe for us to be climbing on anyhow. Somehow, we survived.

The ladies working in there seem very nice but, and I am going to be brutally honest here, this…read moremight be the ugliest and most depressing library I've ever visited. There is basically one floor, a giant open layout with no privacy anywhere, really. To be fair, I did not browse their collection, as that was not my purpose in going there. If you're looking for a place to study though, just drive up to Nevins Library in Methuen. There are nooks and cubicles everywhere in there, and it's very well-lit. By the way, I saw another reviewer claim that this is probably the nicest library in NH. Preposterous! Although it is no doubt a daytime refuge for homeless drug addicts now, the historic library in Manchester NH puts this library to shame!

We live nearby and have visited this location several times. We're avid readers, so the fact that I…read moredidn't write, "Many times," is very revealing: The selection of books is so limited, and the obnoxious "reviews" they attach to specific books is incredibly insulting. The shelves are often a mess, no matter what section you visit. We have gone to look for a specific book or author and we have left empty-handed every time. The selection is so small. To top it off, we bought a book from B&N online, and it didn't arrive in time for an event. When we went to return it at the store, with the receipt, within three days of receiving it, we were told at Customer Service that they only hand out online orders, and that we would have to wait on line for a cashier to make a return. When we handed the book to the cashier, who wasn't nice, (they act as if you are intruding and bothering them), she said she didn't think they would take it! Then she asked a supervisor who wasn't nice, and he said they wouldn't take it. They both didn't apologize or offer guidance, and said we'd have to take it up with B&N online. Funny thing, is that when we did, they said we could return it at the store. They sent us a label anyway, so we'll send it back that way and avoid the ridiculous scene and discourteous treatment at the store itself. Don't bother with this location: There are other choices for bookstores, and the service is much better at any of them.
