This shop is amazing for when you need a Mechanic for your car. I took my car here for a catalytic converter and a muffler installation. Hernan was able to explain the issue and fixed it to perfection, on top that he is transparent with the pricing and the turn around for the fix was great. I would definitely recommend this repair shop to everyone. this is my to go mechanic. read more

Hernan, and his team at Nevco are all friendly and helpful. Awesome to see a local family run business providing such great service. We live farther now, but we still only trust our vehicles to Nevco. Thanks y'all! read more

I took my car into the shop with good hopes that they'd be able to fix it because I called in advanced asking if they could because it's an older vehicle. They gave me the run around for over 2 months, and didn't fix a thing. As matter a fact I had to get the car towed out of there which costed me $350 when I originally drove it there to get service. They also damaged the logo of my vehicle and said they'd refund me if I showed a purchase order to replace it. So I did just that, and they had no intentions on actually paying me back for the damages (The badge emblem was $250). My car was returned in worse condition than when it was brought it. It had an idle issue, but was still running, now it doesn't even start. The trunks carpet was all torn out and left how it was in the photo below. Every time I tried to call they said they'd call back and never did. I didn't want to leave this review but I had no other option because they're not doing anything to fix it. I'm now out $600 taking my chances with these people. read more

This place is amazing. I have a 2006 BMW 530 i, gifted to me by my father-in-law, who warned me that I couldn't get it repaired anywhere but the dealer. I've been going to the awful dealer, and they charge me a minimum of a thousand, no matter what's wrong with my car. And sometimes my car runs worse after they "fix it" than it did before. But I kept going back because I assumed no one else could do BMW's. Anyway, the brake pad warning light went off in my car, and I miserably dragged myself to the dealer, which, true to tradition, told me that they would charge me a thousand to replace only the back brake pads. If my fronts also needed it, they would get back to me and let me know. They would keep my car for a couple days. I told the guy that I couldn't afford it and drove away, not knowing what to do. Miraculously, my husband, who drives a Subaru (another car that usually only a dealer can service), had discovered Nevco, which had been able to service his car very cheaply and well. He asked them about my BMW, and they told him they could do my brake pads for $250. I showed up this morning, prepared to sit for several hours. Well, they told me that nothing was wrong with my brake pads and that they had clearly been serviced somewhat recently, but the warning light had not been reset. They charged me nothing for that. Then they pulled the nail out of and patched my back tire and charged me $15. I sat there for just a short time. I love this place. Very nice people who clearly care about their craft and give honest service and an honest price. What a find!!! I will go here from now on. read more

My mother used Nevco in the late 80's and so I've always used them too! Hernon and his son Cody are two of the most authentic, reliable, honest mechanics/business owner I've ever dealt with. Throughout the years he services all my cars and even services my children's cars now too. One time my daughter told him her car was shaking really bad and after looking at it he said "go get you some new tires, dear!" Hahaha And could've easily said it was something else but was very honest with her. Another daughter would stop by so he could air up her tires in the way to work, and they always did it. Lol His prices are in-line and reasonable, he explains everything thoroughly, and answers all questions. The turnaround time is FAST and they have a waiting room with a tv on to enjoy. The receptionist and every employee there is friendly and is always aware of what's going on and the status of your car. Oh, the puppy dogs in the office just too off all the goodness. :) Nevco is an Above & Beyond company!!! read more

Always give fair prices and fairly quick turnround time.

I stumbled on this family-run auto repair shop randomly over a year ago and have returned for maintenance on my old car ever since. The owner is the one who communicates with the customers and he's incredibly helpful, explaining what's going on with the car and what to expect, and test driving it with you after. He has good hints about what towing companies to use and how to extend the life of your car. I appreciate that he doesn't try and upsell and is good about doing what needs attention and no more. (I may be a little biased because he told me at this rate my car could go on for another 8 or 10 years.) If you want to get major maintenance done the same day, you'll want to get there at 7 a.m., when they open. read more

This is the best shop I have ever been to. They are honest , reliable etc. I have been referring everyone I know to them. HIGHLY recommend .

Honest, reasonable prices, great service, friendly staff and excellent customer service. They are an exceptional team!

I am so happy to see Nevco is still around. We used Hernan for all of our 4 cars for about 15 years and we have since moved away. All the descriptions of dealing with Hernan and the shop are exactly what we loved about going there. When I was young and newly married with children, I could take our car to Nevco and find out from Hernan what we *really* had to do to keep it safe and running without spending too much money. My dad used Hernan for his work trucks and my mom's cars. It is hard to find a good mechanic and you are lucky if you live in Houston!! read more

These guys are in my neighborhood. I had to get a new engine on my Honda Odyssey minivan and after dealing with these guys, I came away trusting them and not feeling ripped off. I will go back and hope I can use them going forward! Would recommend them at this point. read more

Absolute Best Auto Shop in Houston. Been a customer for 15+ years. Always very pleasant and helpful, great to service your vehicle right away if they have the time, and pretty quick to get what ever parts are needed. Both Hernan & Cody definitely know what they're doing and talking about, and I always feel safe leaving my vehicle in their hands. Prices are very fair IMHO. read more

Nevco was recommended to me by a friend and I have been consistently happy with their service and integrity. Even though they are a bit out of my way, I will always make the trek to have my car serviced and repaired there. Hernan, the owner, is calm, quiet and laid back and has a way of explaining things so that it makes sense to the layman. I will remain a loyal customer. read more

Interactions with NEVCO owner Hernan Nevarez and his front desk employees are easy. I agree with prior reviews that he does not try to sell you a bunch of services you don't need, a major concern of mine with mechanics. Hernan personally drives every vehicle that is brought in for repair and I have always received a call from him with a diagnosis. We have a '99 Lexus GS and a '01 Suburban. read more

I have been using Nevco since I got my first car in 2014. Both of my parents have been using his services for over 15 years! Never had ANY issues with this shop nor its employees. They are all very honest and dependable people. Hernan always calls and tells you the price breakdown before starting work, and ALWAYS tries to find ways to help with the cost. One of the ONLY mechanics that wont try to make you fix/replace something that doesn't need to be. If theres a different way to fix it, free of cost and on your own time/labor, he will suggest it. Which I appreciate!! The back seat behind the drivers side of my car had come off because the clips broke - he said you could either pay to replace the whole thing, or your could just do it this other way that'll cost you a few nails and a screw driver. He's SMART, extremely knowledgeable, and very personal. You will not be treated like you are just a customer here. Awesome place overall. read more
