After waiting 3.5 months for an appointment, I was not disappointed. I really liked Dr. Bruner who…read morewas knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. The staff was nice, and although the waiting room and exam rooms were a bit sterile it at least felt clean. Happy that I have a new doctor in a friendly environment.

I was told they had no appointments, but they'd leave a message for my doctor, who would get back to me. Fast forward to 2 PM. I get a call from my primary care physicians office telling me I should go to an emergency room because they believe I have meningitis‼ In a panic, I head to the ER on McCarren of Northern Nevada Medical. Thankfully, the competent staff, based on the questions I answered and an examination, diagnosed me with a viral infection. No meningitis! They dosed me with a Tylenol-Advil combination and a lidocaine patch, then sent me home with prescriptions for nausea and extra lidocaine patches. I felt guilty for taking up the time of staff and resources for an issue that could've been handled in a timely manner in my primary care physician's office, had that office not been overbooked. And I won't even go into the five hours it took from my original phone call and message of my concerns, to the phone call I received advising me to go to an ER. This all too frequent "adventure"points to the sad state of medical care in this country, with emergency rooms becoming your primary care physician.

I waited 4 months to see Dr. Blake at Sierra Neurosurgery in order…read moreto get a neck ablation. The long wait was worth every single day. He greeted me kindly and asked the location of my pain. With the first nerve block he hit the correct area with his needle! I called it the "money shot", and knew there was hope for a better outcome than my previous ablations. Since 2 nerve blocks are required, I had to wait a little longer for the final 3rd visit to get the ablation. Being in the room with just him and ( Tech ) Dave was calming and relaxing. They both treated me with such tender care. My neck is doing REALLY well. Dr. Jacob Blake is 100% worth the wait.

Dr. Blake and His Staff are the absolute worst Dr. to visit. Since I had to drive to Reno for my…read moreappointment I noticed there were several other Drs. at this office. Pick your Dr. wisely. Dr. Blake had been in Truckee ( where I live) only 1 day a month. I saw him and had me get an MRI. Next Month he was gone. No letter or letting patients know that he will practice solely in Reno. He was the only back and neck doctor here. So, I got visit him in Reno. He was training another man at the same time. He was very preoccupied. I just moved to Tahoe Donner from the Bay Area so I'm not used to only having 1 dr. to see. He gave me a few vicadin and was supposed to call to schedule an epidural. I was getting them by a "real dr" before this idiot, I had to remind Dr. Blake to look over my MRI because he forgot he he ordered one for me before his departure from Truckee. I phoned Dr Blake's office prior to Thanksgiving. I spoke again on the answering machine. Again, no response. I'm am over it. I'll go back to Stanford where I won't get the shotty treatment. He should be ashamed of himself.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Reno Regenerative Center. From Brandon who discussed…read moremy options and the processes, to Dr. Rachel who reviewed my x-rays and determined what treatment would help me, to Dr. Wendy who did my back adjustments and provided guidance on the therapy, to Laura and Jen who pushed me with the exercises and stretches and used the Pulsewave machine on me, to the front desk staff who accommodated my work schedule to the best of their abilities. Everyone is friendly and, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about making me and my back better. I am also very pleased with the progress I have made in just 4 short months. In May, I had stem cells injected into my lower back due to degeneration of my spine and in July, I started the physical therapy to strengthen my core. I used to have to do a couple of loads of laundry or wash a car, or vacuum or clean up after my goats or chickens, but not all in the same day, as it was too much bending. I used to have to move around as opposed to stand still at a home improvement store or anywhere else, because standing in one place was painful. In July, I was able to bend and trim hooves on all 4 goats! On the same day, as I also did 2 loads of laundry and I had NO back pain. Sure, my back was tired, but I will gladly deal with my back being tired at the end of the day, as opposed to being in pain by lunchtime! I recently went to Disneyland and did a fair amount of standing in line and by the end of each of the two days, my back was tired, but I had NO pain. And, I didn't stand there fidgeting, because of the pain, while standing in the lines.

I have been dealing with 15 years of extreme chronic back pain. Have had many surgeries and…read moreprocedures, with this said I reached out for a consultation for stem cell injections with Reno Regenerative Medicine filling out 3 forms of health/surgery information and asking if my insurance was accepted, it was. The front desk was exceptionally helpful and nice. There deal is they interview you to see if there is a fit or not and I was told only 30% of clients get processed through. I was interested from the start If insurance covered the procedures and asked the young kid who was interviewing me. After the long song and dance sales pitch I finally asked again, how much is my cost. He then responded 10k-15k out of pocket. We are on social security and do not have that kind of money lying around and on top of it my pain was screaming by this time. I quickly cut the conversation short with a thank you, explaining we are done and he pressed a but further explaining that there is funding available. I'm 62 and don't have this kind of money and don't need a 10-15k bill at my age. So healing is for the wealthy I suppose. Knowing the pain I'm in couldn't they have given me a clue to how expensive treatment is before dragging me and hubby down to South Reno for this appointment? Apparently this treatment works for numerous football players sending them back into the game, but an average senior I am unable to get help needed due to extreme price gouging. Reno Regenerative maybe you can be upfront with your patients before having them drag themselves into a consultation that is impossible to Achieve acceptance. And insurance companies out there, you need to accept more of a homeopathic style of treatment for your customers. All in all it was a bust for me. Maybe you will have better luck!

I've been to surgery centers before, and have had good experiences and marginal experiences. This was a great experience!! I think this place is smaller than most, and it does a variety of surgeries, not a single proceedure for everyone. Not sure, but possibly this is why the staff seems interested and engaged. Check in was great, although they did have me down for a few allergies that I don't have. The friendly front desk ladies got it fixed quickly. I waited briefly in the first calming area. Esper took me to the prep area, she has a really nice, caring sister vibe. The nurse, I can't remember her name, was great also. Explained everything perfectly and got the IV in expertly, on the first try! The anesthesiologist-can't remember her name either, was so nice! She listened carefully to my concerns, regarding issues I've had in the past, and seemed genuinely interested. And mentioned some possible reasons for past experiences. She and the rest of the team, didn't seem to be in a hurry or in a scheduling rush, it was like I was their only patient, and my comfort was a main concern. At other places I've felt like I was just one of the herd waiting to be tagged and loaded onto a conveyer belt. Thank you so much for making this a better experience! The only downside, is that you are only seperated from other patients by a curtain-the usual set up. I kind of felt bad knowing that other patients could hear the scary things I was relating, to the anesthesiologist, not wanting them to be scared, as some were first timers, I heard.
