I cancelled another order due to their lack of "customer service". I had already ordered and actually received a prop from another seller. I had been sending multiple emails asking the typical prop questions for about for 4-5 days. Tried calling as well. Left messages. They had never, did I say never? - returned a single message ,,,never answered any questions. I am actually in the process of returning the prop due to that. The customer service at Nettles was (is) excellent. The price was the best I found. Other sellers want you to find a better price, and they will match it. Why would I do that? I live just outside of Nashville, TN and knew nothing about Nettle Props. I placed an order on line for a stainless prop for my boat and I ordered the same diameter and pitch as my boat's old aluminum prop. That turned out to be a big mistake. Even though the diameter and pitch were identical, the newer stainless prop geometry and blade cup was a bit too much for my 1973 Evinrude 85HP outboard. Unfortunately, I placed my on-line order for a prop before speaking with JT. After my outboard was not coming to WOT RPMs with the new prop, I called and talked to JT. Without going through all of the details, allow me to say that JT was incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable. He guided me in the correct direction and sent me a stainless prop that performed exactly the way he said it would. At first I did not want to try the prop he sent but JT urged me to try it. Ha! The engine ran right in the zone and my hole shot was amazing. I never should have doubted him. I would like to extend a big thank you to JT and Nettle Props. These guys are THE BEST place to go if your boat prop got damaged! My inboard brass propeller got whacked by something floating in Lake Austin. They even helped me take it off, then put it back on my boat when I towed it there to pick up later. Do great work, prop looks like new, balanced. Only thing to keep in mind is if you need service during busy season, they put you in a queue and it could be a week until you get it back. But worth the wait! read more

Great folks. They have been around a long time, used them as a kid with my dad's boats. Grew up & now have to buy my own gas--and slipped a hub on a prop. They worked through PowerTech Props and through my dealer, South Austin Marine, talked me through several options, gave their honest opinions, communicated well and ultimately had the prop drop shipped 2 day to get me on the water this weekend. I ordered a prop removal tool for my Volvo DP outdrive and was unsure of how it would perform since my prop was frozen on my prop shaft. I called nettle prior to ordering and ask one of the gentlemen (can't remember his name unfortunately) to how reliable these prop removal tools were because none of my mechanics had ever used one of these tools to remove a prop. The gentleman I spoke to explained to me that they had not only has hsi shop used them but was confident that I would be able to remove my frozen prop. He also walked me through what to do to successfully remove the Frozen prop without too much of a hassle. He gave me a lot of pointers and I really appreciate the walkthrough and advice that he gave me before I began trying to remove this prop. Using his advice, I was able to successfully remove this Frozen prop and I'm very grateful of the excellent customer service that I received.
