I spoke with the owner Dave who asked me some clarifying questions about my issues. It was determined that I needed $100 worth of batteries to be changed. I told him that was okay I would just disconnect my system and proceeded to ask if he could help walk me through it. Dave kindly asked me why I would not have a security system (reminding me I had told him I did have a 12 yr old daughter who is at times alone). He immediately jumped in and said actually he would pay for the battery replacement and not charge me. He was so passionate about the peace of mind behind having our system operable! Not only that Dave made sure one of his team members changed all of our batteries on the very same day of my call. Unbelievable customer service! When I told my daughter the story that evening she was so touched that somebody cared so much about HER safety. She called her grandparents and told them the story! I can't say enough about how one act of kindness spread to so many people. I will be telling everybody I know about ICU Security, the company who is truly passionate about making our homes safe for our families. By comparison, there is a computer repair place between Wal Mart and Fry's at Warner & Alma School. Those guys are horrible. They tried ripping me off on a used power cord. They charged some poor guy $180 to reload Windows while I was there, and add a virus protection program, which could have been downloaded for free from Cnet. Those guys are rude there too, unbelievably rude, so never go there. As for Bits and Bytes at Alma & Elliot, these guys have undercharged me many times. They've fixed problems for me in a short amount of time, and have several times gotten my laptop back to me fixed by the next day. I had some exams coming up at ASU and these guys saved my ass bigtime when I had gotten a replacement laptop and needed it fixed. The guys there know everything and anything about software programs, different kinds of components, how to quickly diagnose things that freeze up or slow up your computer. You can take an older computer to them and they can speed it up like it is new, it is amazing. If you go to Geek Squad, or the Apple repair place, or Fry's Electronics, they always start off by charging you an obscene amount of money to diagnose your computer, then they make up things you need that you can just download for free from Cnet. This Bits & Bytes is independently owned, and they do lots of different things, even help companies with cyber security, so they don't only make their money off of computer repairs. This reduces their motivation to rip people off, so they don't do it. When you walk in you see a few laptops that are for sale that are used that they have fixed up, and they are always great deals. But that's all you see. They don't have a bunch of junk everywhere trying to sell you useless crap. Everything about what they do is straightforward and honest and very very simple. These guys have never ever let me down. I even called them after I screwed something up on my laptop, and they told me over the phone what to look for to fix it, and I did. They have been that cool with their service. In fact, it is that kind of service that you literally never get anywhere unless it is an independently owned place, and you're dealing with honest people who really enjoy what they do. It is very rare. Since my first visit there over a year ago, I have been there a few times. I had my sister go there and she's been back there a few times, and has sent her friends there. One of my buddies, Nick, who is a physics major who had an exam coming up, and who is also pretty good with computers himself, ended up running into some kind of memory problem that froze up his system. I sent him to Bits & Bytes and these guys literally fixed his computer that day and he was able to get his computer back before his exam and finish his work. They even walked him through how his virus program went crazy and started replicating files or something, and they showed him how to fix it. They didn't even charge him for anything except I think $43 for the little bit of time it took them to fix it. He was pretty impressed and they saved his ass just like they did mine. I will never go anywhere else. This is the only place you should take your computer equipment if you want honest and speed and great service, but don't want to ripped off.

I have always worked with companies that came highly recommended from colleagues. Let's just say the person who recommended them works closely with the owner (Joel) and after seeing what happened to us, he was extremely disturbed. They were to perform a sweep of all of our computers on a Friday, secure them and set up a maintenance plan. When they were sweeping my computer, which I was informed would be monitored, a glitch occurred and they crashed my SERVER. When I showed up to my office along with my staff and a full schedule of patients, we discovered we were blind. We had no idea who was coming in, couldn't run or close out payments, and my staff had to work with Allen to resolve this matter (9 to 4pm). I was left to check in patients, see patients, turn over rooms, check out patients completely solo because he had my staff running to office depot to purchase supplies. Once we were supposedly all set, we discovered that we were missing about 3 to 4 years of files. I went into panic mode. Losing 3 to 4 months would be detrimental! I was reassured that we d eventually find everything...Still missing files The icing on the cake . THEY LIED I hired them to sweep and secure all our computers especially anything that logs into our server. Allen went out of his way to name each computer and let me know it was clean. Come to find out form my remote employee that he told her "I got your back, I ll tell doctor your computer was clean" My head was spinning and I felt completely betrayed. In my several conversations I specifically discussed that we had been hacked, accounts had to be closed, I m concerned about the security and safety for my business and want to secure all employee computers so we can move forward. I verbalized that I hired them because of the referral and that my colleague knows the owner. GETS EVEN BETTER... when everything came to light and I questioned the Tech on a 3 way call, he never apologized and made excuses. My colleague apologized to me and said he'd speak with the owner Joel and call me back. His conversation with the owner was the CHERRY ON TOP... the owner didn't seem phased. He proceeded to ask how much was my bill and am I a big account. Once he was given the $ amount, he responded " its not worth my time" and just drop this business. Clearly the ethics or lack thereof starts at the top. I reached back out. I m left in a position worse than where I started...I don't trust them and they ve made it clear my business wasn't worth the trouble. When as a business owner you allow complete back access into your server, computers and personal space, you expect a level of ethics, professionalism and security. I was completely vulnerable when I hired them and verbalized the level of trust I m giving them. We had steps 2 and 3 planned for after the sweep and because I m a small business owner, it was OK with Joel that his staff was unethical and lied. I'd be way more concerned with small business owners if I were him since we are small stepping stones to the top.

Now I understand paying him $125 for the the initial assessment, the service call and for the first hour , and that seems pretty steep. But the service should have ended there kinowing he was unable to help my claims. I would not recommend this company as it seems they are most interested in profit and not fixing the problem. But supposedly I was one of two finalists. My interviews went great, and we all seemed to feel good about each other. But they continued to ghost me. Finally, they offered me the job. By the following Monday I had a formal job offer. Although I was beginning to have doubts, I accepted the offer and attended a session of Sandler sales training on a Wednesday before my agreed upon first day the following Monday. On Friday I got a text saying "we need to speak immediately about your first day". So from the golf course I called in and they promptly told me they were rescinding my offer. After much prodding, they finally gave me an answer: When I attended the sales training, they didn't like the way I was dressed. As if I had on blue jeans and a tank top. Fact is, I wore freshly cleaned khaki pants and a blue button down shirt. I looked fine. This was BS. The two senior managers in this company who'd interviewed me twice were not exactly GQ. Rumpled clothes, scraggly beards. They lookedlike they belonged in an AZ DOT cleanup crew. I have no idea what the real reason is. My background check and drug screen were clean. My experience with Artisan was a window into how this company is run. Disorganized, unable to make a simple hiring decision, dishonest. I wouldn't hire them to put in a light bulb.
