I took my watch in to have the ceramic band adjusted and repaired. It turned out to be a challenge puzzle. Take the owner over an hour to complete. I was so grateful to have it repaired as it has strong sentimental value for me. I expected to pay a heavy price but the owner said it would be a very small fee because this band is a new experience for him. I would be glad to pay more but he insisted that this was fair. I find this ethical behavior is very rare in the business world. A very pleasant surprise! read more

A family run service oriented business with the highly personable Jan serving as the public face. This is not your company if you want fast and cheap. They are competitive and very careful. Because of extra parts and work, two months was required for my never serviced 10 yr Tag Heuer (submariner type) but mailed back in brand new condition with replaced parts. 2 weeks later and performance beats impressive calibration(currently less than1sec/day). Twentyone years I purchased a Rolex watch. It ran great during that time. Two years ago I sent my Rolex back to the factory for an overhaul. It came back 500 dollars later with a one year warranty. A little over a year later, the watch quit. I wasn't too happy about that so I wasn't too keen on sending it back once again to Rolex. I read reviews on Nesbits and decided to give them a try. It was a pleasent surprise. The folks at Nesbits were quite friendly and helpful. While they offered to repair my Rolex they suggested that I first contact Rolex to see if they would not honor the warranty even though I was just past the warranty period, but I left the watch with them anyway and later called and told them to effect the repair. Ten days later the watch was ready. It would have taken more that 3 weeks to get the repair work done by Rolex. When I picked up the watch the folks carefully explained what was wrong with the watch and the time and effort needed to repair it and provideded me with the defective parts. They also included a two year warranty on the repair. I am happy to report that after a month of wearing it, it continues to run perfectly and right on time. Trust your expensive watch to Nesbits. Batteries can be put in at any quality jewelry store. I needed a FINE WATCH SERVICED. My husband & I handed them an older Hamilton watch (1970's) last September to repair. They took the $ and gave us reciepts. WE contacted them in October was told it was ready. I picked it up- it worked for 2 weeks, we called and then mailed it back. Sometime in November my husband called- a man told him it was now on the third movement. Still not right, we will call you when it is ready. Now it is April- ENOUGH calling with no real comfortable feelings. So we drove 75 plus miles to visit this "fine" establishment. We were greeted with some acknowledgement- and promptly told they are giving us our money back. They couldn't get a reliable movement. SO seven months later the watch doesn't work, and we get our money back. BUT- they never called us to tell us the status- EVER. The woman working the counter expresses obligitory sorrow. As we complained about such POOR customer service. The couldn't even call with an update. The spineless person in the lab coat (maybe the owner?) listened in on our conversation enought to tell us he was going to call the police, while we are still waiting for our refund check. He would NOT apologize for not phoning us ( I asked him for an one). When I told them I had another watch that needed repair and they had previously quoted me $400 and I would certainly NOT be bringing here, I was told the repair issues would be different, NO I explained it wasn't an issue of cleaning... it was that I wouldn't give these people any of my hard earned money with such POOR customer service. She did NOT care. They told me that the don't need my business so I guess they don't want yours either. Me thinksthey hve been in business so long they don't care anymore. read more

I stopped in today to have a battery replaced. Normally I do this kind of thing myself, but this particular watch has an over-sized pressure back on it, and my wrench wouldn't fit it. Too, I'd recently purchased a Tag Heuer online and wanted to have it authenticated. I'd done some research on the web looking for a reliable and trustworthy watch repair shop that services high end watches, and Nesbit's name kept coming up again and again as being reasonably priced as well as providing outstanding service. I'm so glad that I read and trusted the reviews and stopped in! Jan greeted me at the front desk where I explained to her what I was stopping in for, and within three or four minutes, Tom was replacing the battery. (For which they charged a very reasonable $20!) He then checked out my Tag and was pleased to inform me that not only was the watch authentic, but that I got a good deal on it, too. He was then kind enough to give me a few pointers about watches and movements and, as a new collector, I have to say that I found the information truly interesting and helpful. Hands down, this was one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time. Both Tom and Jan were so personable, gracious and generous with their time and considerable knowledge that I can't ever imagine having my watches serviced anywhere else. Did I mention that they didn't even charge me to look over and authenticate my Tag? As the original owner of an Omega Speedmaster Professional Pre Moon Transitional watch circa 1968 I researched carefully to identify a facility qualified to provide the highest mechanical and cosmetic restoration and most importantly personalized service allowing me to follow the progress and be involved in decisions to insure the watch was returned to me in a condition that equaled or exceeded the original look, feel and operational qualities of this fine instrument. I used the watch for decades as an aviator, we had a lot of history together, the last thing I wanted was to have the watch disappear into a dark hole unable to know who was working on it and what was being done and emerging as just another time piece in a facility that did not have any idea of how significant the watch was to the owner.
