(Kidding) they came out 5 times! Everything that could have possible gone wrong went wrong. They replaced my hard drive (two times). My cord 3 times. The computer never worked right EVER. I was so frustrated with it, my son and I share this laptop and he is starting his college forms. So I admit it was me that hit the laptop out of frustration. Laptop went dead.... I asked around to several parents if they knew a good computer person that could fix a laptop. My friend recommended him. We talked on the phone briefly. He came over and took the laptop, brought it back to me w/in 48 hours and it was fixed! It worked 300 times better than when it came brand new. He explained how some laptops come with bloat. And he was able to get rid of that and make it run smoothly. Very honest young man. Very respectful. Took his time explaining. I will 100% use again and will recommend him.

A great little repair shop…read more I needed to have a laptop screen repaired and the tech, Armando, diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and had the PC back to me in less than a week. I had brought the Laptop to him late on a Saturday afternoon, and it was back in my hands by Wednesday. The price was right, too. The shop charges $70 for their service, plus parts and warranties their work. I won't hesitate to use him again.

I had driven…read moreby their storefront dozens of times over the past 4 years and I noticed there were a lot of 'local awards' for service. With that much recognition for service, I thought they would be a good resource to get my computer up and running again. A costly mistake! Angelo's unfriendly attitude when I dropped off my machine was a red flag that I ignored. After all, the entire country is still in the grips of the pandemic and retail business owners must be safety conscious. As long as someone can do their job well, it normally doesn't matter whether 'service with a smile' is offered. Turnaround time to replace my hard drive & reload my data was fast and I picked up my computer the next day. However, I feel I was waaay overcharged for the hard drive (tech hours were priced separately). It took 4 phone calls over a 4-week time period to reach the owner to ask about missing keyboard functionality and to ask for assistance to reload a driver for my external CD/DVD drive. After paying almost $700 for the new hard drive and the tech hours, I discovered it's a 'one & done' process. If I wanted help to load a missing driver for my external CD/DVD equipment, it's an additional charge. If I wanted help to have the same functionality on my keyboard that I had prior to the new hard drive installation, it would be an additional charge. Of course, he's entitled to run his business the way he sees fit. My choice for future computer needs will be to go somewhere else where the service isn't overpriced and surly.

I'd just embarked on a two-month trip away from home (heading into very remote areas for six weeks of that time) when my laptop charger stopped charging and my battery was rapidly depleting. I'd taken my laptop to two shops at home a few days before this trip, and both places incorrectly diagnosed the issue. I found DJM Computer Repair from its stellar reviews and immediately called Damian the day before arriving in Wilmington. Within minutes, he offered a likely diagnosis and suggested a couple of potential fixes while talking with me over the phone. I brought it in the next day and had a fully functional, refurbished laptop within hours. Everything was set up just like my now-dead one, and I lost next to no work time due to Damian's quick turnaround and expert service. I'm now proceeding on my trip with a ton more confidence and a laptop that actually works. I can't speak highly enough about Damian's calming presence, deep knowledge base (and ability to translate for a layperson like me), reliability, and dedication to customer service.
