I normally wouldn't think of making a public statement like this, but I figured if it saves someone the grief then it's worth the trouble. I recently had Claudio from Nerds 2 You come into my home to fix my computer because of a keyboard and mouse pad connectivity problem. In order to do my editing I basically had to use an external mouse rather than the mousepad. Annoying, but other than that, my computer was in good condition. I read this company's reviews and everything looked pretty legit. When he visited he told me it was a cable problem and proceeded to dismantle my computer in attempts to repair it. He also told me my battery was "pretty much fried and about to catch fire" and I should order a new one together with the new cable. He kept talking about how Macs are the worse computers out there and they all fail the same way. Now, I'm not computer savvy at all so what I didn't realize at the time is that he had destroyed the original batter by forcing it out and that's why he was ordering a new one. When he returned to install the parts a few days later he told me the new cable wasn't working and he needed to reorder the cable as it was "probably a manufacturing problem" but it would be just a couple of days. Several days passed and I didn't hear from him. I do editing work so without a properly working computer, I had my clients anxiously waiting to get their packages in a timely manner. I called him to ask what was taking so long and he replied he'd never heard of a photographer not using a mouse to edit, so he thought I was ok to wait. I was ticked off so he offered to "squeeze me into his tight schedule for the following week" When he visited next he worked on it for a bit and then proceeded to inform me that this was actually not a cable problem but he could order more parts to repair it. But if I did not want to spend the money he'd reimburse me for the cable and battery. At this point, I wasn't convinced he knew what he was talking about and told him to just leave it there. So he put the old battery back and left. This is when the fun began as my computer started constantly crashing and giving me error messages. Now it cannot be moved or even touched sometimes without it crashing. I called him back immediately to let him know what was happening and sent him an email with screen-shots of all error messages. His response: "oh how odd, I've never heard of a Mac giving these kinds of errors". Then his phone "glitched" and the call got disconnected. When I called back it went straight to voice mail. I have since left several messages on his phone. No response. So basically (I'm a bit embarrassed to admit) I paid this person to come and break my working computer. For a company that advertises "Being Best in Edmonton 2 years in a row", this unprofessional behaviour is completely outrageous. And I felt it should put out there. People get away with these kinds of things because people like me are too mad (or embarrassed) to speak about it. Sorry pal, this is NOT ok. So, lesson learned, but this is my review of your "services" and it's going everywhere. Hopefully, it'll save others some grief and money. read more

Quick review for a broken screen on a laptop. Great service! Super fast and came to me. Had screen next day and took an hour to fix. $100 for screen and $70 to install. Better than geek squad quote of $350 for my GF. Will use Claudio again! Thanks for the quick help. read more

I contacted this company over a month ago and ordered a new fan and installation for my laptop. They took my CISA number. Over a month has gone by with no communication from the company. They don't return phone calls or emails. At one point I phoned them several times a day for a week and it always went to voice mail. I tried contacting them on Twitter with no success. At this point I'm assuming they are scammers looking for credit card numbers and nothing more. read more

Have had Nerds 2 You come to our house several times. He has fixed our iMac and the PC several times. When I say fixed I mean hard ware issues. New HD, new heatsink., as well as a few others things. Claudio is efficient professional and is the most efficient service tech I have ever encountered in computer work. I read some ppl say he isn't friendly. Do you want conversation? Or do you want him to finish in as little time as possible as efficiently as he can to be time effective for him and cost effective for you? He ALWAYS answers my endless hardware questions. I contacted this company to come and do a laptop clean up for me. When Claudio, the owner arrived, it was clear that he was not a customer oriented individual. He was curt, abrasive and rude. We purchased a malware software package at his recommendation, which clearly states in his invoice that it can be used for up to 3 devices. We have tried installing the software on to our other laptop but have been informed that the software has already been installed to its maximum amount of users/devices. Not sure if this guy is running a scam or what. We have tried contacting him several times, he will not return phone calls or emails. We have proceeded with a complaint to the BBB to see if someone can hold him accountable. To boot, he is condescending when speaking to you as a customer, he seems agitated and not quite stable; if it weren't for people paying him he would not have a business, but clearly that reality does not sink in for him. I've had Nerds 2 You out several times. And each time they've been able to figure out what's wrong and fix it. I wish my computer would never have problems. But when it does I know they can fix it. I say "they" but it's actually only one. His name is Claudio and is a fantastic computer fixer. Pros: You don't have to bring in your computer, wait for an appointment, drop it off and then wait for them to try and fix it, and then pick it up. Most of the time Claudio fixes it in one trip. (And he even has spare parts on him. So it's usually not "Oh...you need a new power supply. I'll have to go buy one") If you're considering Geeksquad. Don't . This guy will fix it before you even get through the BestBuy Call tree. read more

This Claudio has the worst business ethic!!!! Build me over 800.00 for a parts and labor, part seems to be faulty because certain things like headphone jack no longer work and the labor? what did he do but install a faulty part that he ordered. All my computer is good for is turning on. He hasnt done anything to fix the problem and left me with no confidence that he will. Had to buy a new computer bringing my total cost to over 2,000.00. Nerds 2 You has been to my business in the past and I knew they would be the best and fastest service to get us back up and running quickly. I called this morning and Claudio showed up by about 1 PM. I had my laptop computer repaired in May because I had no image on my screen, laptop was overheating, and upgraded my operating system, replaced my HD. After the repair, I contacted Claudio because my computer wouldn't wake up from sleep/hibernate modes . I left him a message. He returned my first call and left a message on my answering machine, I called him back and left a message but I never heard from him after I requested he call me back on my cell phone to firm up a time for him to come out. Now I'm back to square one. No image on the screen, computer overheating. Computer is unusuable because of the black screen. Needless to say, I am not a very happy customer. I wish I could recommend him. I love the fact that he will come to me but, frankly, his after service sucks. read more

Claudio was not overly friendly (I did not hire him with the intent of becoming buddies anyway), but was knowledgable and professional in fixing the issues with my Toshiba laptop at a reasonable price. The mother board required replacing, as well as the screen, which was cracked. It took a bit of time, but overall it was a good experience and I would certainly reach out to him again. read more

I appreciate the fact that Claudio came to my home, which was very convenient for me. As well, he did in fact fix my computer at a reasonable price, which is why I am giving 2 stars. However, the thing that was lacking was any resemblance of customer service. From the moment Claudio walked into my home, he made no attempt at friendliness. During the 2 hours he was here, he was rude and constantly talked down to me like I was a complete idiot. I admit I am not a computer expert, if I was I wouldn't be paying for him to fix my computer, but you don't have to talk to me like I am stupid, because I am not. Since I value the customer service aspect of business over the actual service provided, I would not recommend his service. All it would take is for Claudio to treat people in a friendly and accommodating way, explaining rather than talking down to me to get a better rating.. In response to Claudio's response: My experience had nothing to do with a "personality clash". The only experience you had of my personality was when I welcomed you into my home. Maybe you were having a bad day, but you were in fact rude the entire time you were here. The only time you spoke to me was when you asked me a question about my computer in a condescending way. There was no friendly conversation. My adult daughter was in the house and witnessed every exchange and she was shocked by your appalling attitude. Might I also say, that you did not completely fix my computer. Since your visit, I have had to completely wipe my computer clean and re-install everything to get it working properly. As well, even though you told me all the hardware was working properly, it is not. The video card is malfunctioning and needs replacing. So again, maybe you were just having a bad day but to say your are very friendly and outgoing is certainly untrue based on my experience. read more

To say this fellow is a professional is a stretch...I called him at the end of July to replace the keyboard on my laptop. After giving him my info, he told me he would get back to me the following Friday to set up an appointment to come over and do the work. Friday came and went with no word. The following week, I called him back and left a message - as he wasn't answering. He never returned my call, so I called again a couple of weeks later to find out what was going on and all he would say was that he was expecting it in his mailbox that night when he got home. That was end of August and I haven't heard from him since. If he lacks the skill set to swap out a laptop keyboard, he could have at least let me know so I could look elsewhere. Even better, he came to my house and addressed the issue instead of me hauling my hard tower and printers to a store.
