Do not visit this shop. I gave them my laptop to fix because the mouse pad wasn't working. The next thing was that the keyboard stopped working, then i returned it to them to fix. It spent over 5 weeks and it didn't turn on. After waiting endlessly, I found out they usually give it to a third party to fix. I took my laptop and left the shop before I react and regret it. read more

THE WORST!!! Took my iPhone 6 in for a simple screen repair and a month later I am still without a phone and fighting with them. They fixed the screen and it keeps going black!! They keep taking my phone back saying they will fix it and they don't solve the issue THEY CREATED!!! I took the phone to Apple and they told me that whoever fixed my phone...these guys.... most likely used the wrong tool and damaged the hardware under the screen. So rather than be held accountable they just keep telling me they will fix!!! I will most likely need a new phone and I highly doubt they will be honest enough to do the right thing and buy me a new phone!! If you don't know what you are doing guys....then don't fix people's electronics!! So angry! If I could give them negative stars I would be doing it!! read more

Expensives crooks! I bought two cameras from them. I asked for non-wifi things. They need wifi to work. Nothing is working. No refund, no return. Boxes were open. That looks intentional. Make sure this store closes its doors and dont go there. read more

Crooks, Cheats and thieves, bought a refurbished HP Laptop for $460 from Sam Sandhu Computer 34 Street Edmonton, at the time of purchase they said we will give you a 3 months guarantee on this HP Laptop. The HP Laptop fan made noise which disturbed the students, they suggested to use wired Mic but the Mic was not working, They instead replaced the Laptop with a ThinkPad which was priced under $100 as compared to what I paid for the HP Laptop. They never refunded the difference to me. The Windows 10 in ThinkPad had expired for updates and the Webcam photo showed Green colour and constantly flickered. When I went to them to give me the HP Laptop the employee said sorry the HP Laptop is not available. I told him call the Owner on his Cellphone, he simply refused saying he is a home resting I cannot disturb him and said I should contact him in the afternoon. As a result I ended up buying a new Laptop from Staples. I would strongly recommend that no one should ever trust these guys to buy any thing from this shop, they are Con Artists and will rip you. I will also be reporting them to the Fair Business Bureau of Alberta so that such unscrupulous do not cheat innocent buyer. read more

Excellent customer service! Sandhu Computers was the only computer repair shop open in Edmonton on a Sunday afternoon (as far as I could tell through Google). They were attentive to my circumstances, and did their best to see what the problem was even though their shop was about to close. I told them that I desperately needed to access my files to study for exams this week. The staff explained to me exactly what the potential problems were in language that I could understand. I am not a tech person, so a clear explanation is important for me. Diagnosis: motherboard problem and, thanks to the staff, I actually know what that means. Result: fixed within 24 hours; now I can get back to work! Overall, I highly recommend Sam Sandhu Computers. Sam even followed up with me to make sure I was happy with the repair. I would strongly recommend finding another place for your computer needs. This is what happened to me: My computer wouldn't turn on, and it kept cycling back to the HP start-up page, so i brought it into Sam Sandu on 34 ave. I told them I had alot of important files that needed to be saved, the sales guy told me: no problem, we'll have it done in 24 hours. The next day: they call me and say, we have wiped your computer clean ($90), and we have discovered that you need a new hard drive (another $70). But we weren't able to recover any of your files. Please pick it up tomorrow. The next day: before i go to pick up the computer, they call and say "I have just encountered some "advanced recovery software" would you like to me try this? If i am successful, I will charge you (another $50) if not, then I wont). So I agree. The next day: i go to pick up the computer and the sales guy tells me, we were able to recover your files, everything is working and great. I paid $210 + tax. A couple days later: i am searching through my documents and discover that ALL of my documents are unable to be opened and are "corrupted" - the same is true of the music files, but not the photo files. I then brought the computer back to the shop and explained my problem. The sales guy first accused me of not informing them I had a virus to begin with (although when i brought the computer in, I explained that i had NO idea what was wrong as I know NOTHING about computers). He then looks through my computer and says, it seems you have a virus from your old harddrive (that he transferred to my new harddrive?) So theres no way I can recovered anything else from the old harddrive. So i show him the files that wont open, and he says "well we dont check everything" I then express that I dont think I should have been charged for this "advanced software" as it did not work. He tells me: it did work, we recovered your files. (They dont open - they are useless to me). He then tells me: the $50 was for the time and effort that they took to TRY and extract the files. When I asked for a refund, he says: sure, ill wipe your computer so theres nothing on it, and give you back your $50. When i say no, he says: well maybe I can keep trying to recover the files. (Even though he said it was impossible? and they have already charged me for things they couldn't deliver? After you just threatened to delete everything from my computer? NO THANKS) read more

I took my laptop in because the corner of the screen was cracked. Everything worked fine on the computer and the graphics were fine with the exception of the crack. I turned it on to show the tech everything and he said "no problem we'll get you a new screen". They replaced the screen but then called me and said the graphics card was bad all of a sudden. I thought it was a scam but since i'm not a computer genius and they said it was only $90 more I told them to get the graphics card fixed. Since this was still cheaper than taking it to Best Buy for a $400 screen repair I decided to pay the $90 in addition to the $178 for the screen and just never bring my computer back there again. The "graphics card" never came for weeks and after having my computer there a month I decided to just go pick it up and pay for the screen even if the graphics had "turned bad" so that I could take it somewhere else if I needed to. When I went to get the computer I told the tech I would pay for the screen and take the computer but the tech argued with me for about 15 minutes because he didn't want to give the computer back yet and told me it was in pieces. I told him to put the pieces in a box and I would take it or I'm calling the cops. That's when he told me that the computer wasn't even at the south location and that he would have to bring it from the West End location. He said if I wanted it reassembled that I would have to wait three hours but that if I wanted it in pieces he could have someone drive it over in an hour. So I waited for an hour and when the laptop arrived it was together but the case wasn't snapped in all the way around. I paid for the screen and when he gave me the computer I turned it on to find a black screen. When I asked the tech about why there were no graphics when he said it had bad graphics he said that's why it needs a new card. I said that didn't make sense because nothing was wrong with the graphics when I turned it on for him at drop off, they had phoned me about graphics two weeks into the process. And he said the graphics were fuzzy when he called, not that it didn't have any picture. At this point I was so pissed I left and took the computer to Best Buy where I had bought it. The guys at Best Buy gave me the whole "you shouldn't have taken this to an unauthorized service provider speech" and they're probably right but what really blew me away is that they said no one should have opened the bottom part of my laptop to replace the screen as it isn't necessary and that with this computer you don't just get a graphics card, it's part of the motherboard so I'd need a whole new motherboard now. So I have no idea what these Sandhu guys were trying to do to the computer. Sandhu computers contacted me after I posted my story on Kijiji and said they would put the graphics card back, which I don't understand because they said all the pieces were in the computer, apparently they aren't . I don't know enough to open it up to check. And then they said they would return it to it's bad graphics state if I bring it in again. I want it returned to the perfect graphics it had when I took it there and they should do that without charging me for it because they broke it. If the graphics card was a problem when I brought the computer in they would have told me I need a new screen and a new graphics card. They saw the picture was perfect minus the top left hand crack and they new I only needed a screen. the "graphics problem" only came to be once they had the computer for a week. I have contacted the BBB about these guys and hope to help otehrs avoid this kind of trap. read more
