The team showed up on a Thursday morning and finished the entire roof project by Friday night. Dan Essay the project supervisor is on site for the entire two days and even showed up on a 3rd day to walk around the property to make sure there is no loose ends. He went out of his way to beg the dumpster company to come on a weekend. He is the most professional, experienced roofer, and a great genuine communicator. Everyone is super skilled, efficient, and very detail-oriented and thorough. They did a bang up job and cleaned up so thoroughly. This company is a dream! Definitely worth the money. I was surprised to see that the ratings were much lower on yelp. I proceeded anyways because I was already on the phone as I was reading the reviews here. They got Mike, the owner next day to provide a quote. There was some slight mis communication with the timing but regardless he inspected my roof for about 10-15 minutes and emailed me over the quote at night. Overall the price quoted was reasonable, I did not move forward with O'lyn Roofing but I did appreciate them making the quote process easy and painless. I have gotten quotes from 2 other companies and they would make me sit through 60-90min presentation before just giving me a number. In one case I cut them off at 30min and they left without giving me a quote, instead insisted to reschedule another 30min to talk. No one have time for all that! Mike seems like a decent guy, straight to the point based on my short interactions with him and the quote process. Although I did not move forward with them for this particular project, I will keep them in mind if anything changes or if any other projects come up down the line.

Towards the end of last year, I had several companies come out and quote for a full roof…read morereplacement. Golden Group gave me the best feeling about the job from the initial discussion. Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

First off kudos to their Salesman who talks a big talk about how they are great and everyone else…read moresucks. They will say they are the best in quality of the window, installing the window and customer service. So far 1 out of 3 applies. First let's talk the Salesman, they are pushy. Always playing the "sign today and you get this deal" which is complete hogwash. If you say no repeatedly they will keep lowering their prices so that initial price is way too high, this company brags about being so profitiable so they won't lose a dime on those reduced costs. Next comes the guy who measures your windows, easy to do so no complains there. Now comes the fun part, the installation crew. We had 11 windows ordered and only 2 man crew shows up, kinda weird because I had another company show up with 4 guys for 4 windows. Anyway, they show up and before they make sure they have the correct windows, they are ripping out the old windows. Notice how I mentioned they didn't ensure the windows they came are the correct ones? Well they arrived with 7 wrong windows. They had already ripped out the old ones before they realized they came with the wrong ones. To top it off, I could barely understand the guy telling me they are the wrong windows. I'm sorry but if your English is bad, then why are you working in a job where you are going to interact with customers? Once they realized the error we had to call customer service, weird because why didn't the installers call the company? After some back and forth with customer service, they put in another order to "rush" the correct windows to us. Installers put back the old windows and sealed them (poorly and the fact that the salesman talked big about their kind of sealent for their windows). Now we have the old windows which we cannot open and it is January so my heating bill will probably be more than what it usually is. As for the 4 windows that were correct, I just noticed one doesn't lock properly. You have to jimmy it to get it to lock properly because O noticed there was some fog spots in that window (Salesman talked big about how their windows are top quality, no outside gets in and installed correctly). AS of now we are waiting on the 7 windows they owe us and hopefully someone can take a look at the window that wasn't installed 100% correclty. I should note that some debris was still on our lawn (screws, springs, vinyly pieces, etc.) so it's a good thing I found them before I ruin my lawn mower blade. I also found a piece of the old window track on our garage roof, how did it get up there? Overall I would avoid Window Nation, they talk a big talk with not much to back it up. Maybe it was just my experience but after seeing much of the other reviews, I am not alone. Also, the salesman said he would stop by during the installation, that didn't happen.

Weird but fine, if the text etiquette is on point. His was a mess. He asks me to take pictures inside and out, of the windows. Ok sure, but I'm one town over and you could just pop by. He asks what I want, I say picture windows. He sends me a picture of double hang and says he recommends them. Don't need them. Then he just TEXTS me a price range. Red flag. Where's your quote with the type of door being used? Also, the number is high. I ask for the SKU to look it up on my own. He sends me a generic link to an affiliate landing page for DOUBLE HUNG DOORS. Ok, so here's where you have to use your best judgement. These guys have great ratings on multiple pages, so they obviously do excellent installs. But that doesn't mean they aren't ripping people off, because you can get similar work done for MUCH cheaper. That's where I got him, bc he wasn't willing to disclose where his range was coming from and then immediately tried to pass me off to Renweal by Anderson, which is widely known as THE biggest price-hike in the game. The safe bet with them is whatever they quote you initially is about double what it should actually cost. So it makes sense the owner thought it's a reasonable peer in the industry. Then he weirdly started text-harassing me when I passed on his offer. Piss off.
