Rhiannon (I hope I spelled it right) had a huge personality, was genuinely friendly, and made us feel welcome the entire time. Great service like that is hard to find. I'm a big fan of Creole food, and the Shrimp Pontchartrain was outstanding--packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. And don't even think about leaving without trying the bread pudding. It was one of the best I've ever had! Between the phenomenal service, amazing food, and welcoming atmosphere, this is a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Highly recommended!

When you walk in you feel like you're in the French Quarter. Subdued lighting just takes me to NOLA Everything we had was excellent and sorry I forgot pictures. We had the flight of deviled eggs and the boom boom shrimp for an appetizers. The deviled eggs were an excellent choice and for the boom boom shrimp they were cooked perfectly. Not at all rubbery. For entrees my wife had the Shrimp Ponchartrain and it was excellent. It is very rich in a heavy cream sauce. The shrimp were large and the andouille sausage gave it a nice smoky taste. I had the crawfish étouffée and it was very good. I'm used to it being made with a darker roux making it smokier but it was still very good. Our waitress was extremely attentive even as the place gets busy. If you're in PCB forget Dat other place and come here.

Thistle & Thorne - Mini-afternoon tea for two

We went to Thistle and Thorne on a Saturday afternoon and ordered the mini afternoon tea for two…read more It comes with two pots of premium loose leaf tea (we chose strawberry kiwi and birthday tea), two housemade scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and four classic finger sandwiches--cucumber and ham & provolone. My daughters loved the cucumber sandwiches--they tasted fresh and crisp. The ham and provolone had a mustard spread they didn't care for, and the bread was a little on the stale side. That said, the presentation on the two-tier platter was undeniably cute. Honestly though, the real win here is the vibe. It somehow blends traditional afternoon tea with hip coffee shop energy and just a hint of speakeasy moodiness. The "bar" lined with loose leaf teas instead of liquor bottles was such a fun touch (though yes, they do serve alcohol too if that's your thing). We sat in one of the window alcoves, which felt semi-private and made the whole outing with my daughters feel a little extra special. And the floor-to-ceiling bookshelf? Chef's kiss. Our server was attentive and cheerful, and mentioned they offer a full high tea once a month--which apparently sells out in five minutes (not surprising). But honestly, the mini tea (available Fridays and Saturdays) was just right for us.

Lo and behold the mimosas were on special and they had flavors like white peach, rose & lavender, cucumber basil & lime, blueberry and of course traditional OJ. The vibe is super cool inside! They offer a biggg selection of loose leaf tea and it seemed popular with a lot of people that came in for it. Light food also available like a vegan soup, scone with clotted cream and jam and couple other items. Loved this place wil stop back again!

Very Applebees (sorry Applebees, no shade! We have actually been better off finding one)…read more We have high hopes for this place after having driven across town. I'll start with the staff very lackluster. No one seem to want to be there or working with one exception and that was the young lady who brought our drinks. some guy came out who wasn't our wait person, we actually don't know who he was, or why he was there, he didn't introduce himself asked us if we were doing OK (Definitely didn't mean it) with his head leaning to the side and eyes batting rapidly with dread - we didn't ask for you, our waitress was at our table every 1.5 seconds, so he wasn't there to fill in for her. We answered, yes, he walked away. As it relates to the food, so much attitude and poor service what what this place is serving up. 2 out of 10 my daughter ordered chicken salad. She got no chicken when she told the waitress she didn't get chicken. They brought it out. It was overcooked and dried out. We ordered nachos I guess I can say the chips were fresh and seasoned. We ordered a crabcakes appetizer, oh my God it was a super flat cake of batter very minimal crab (I'm assuming because it definitely didn't taste like it and couldn't see it, very mushy for $18!! Oh! The bread and oil?!? So good!! And there were TV to watch football. Oh! Our greeter, who seated us, she was great! Warm and wanted to be at work. Wish I could tip her now.

We grabbed seats at the bar and had fantastic service from start to finish. The drinks were great, the bartenders were attentive and welcoming, and the food coming out of the food truck kitchen outside was absolutely delicious. Such a cool concept and everything we tried hit the spot! And the people watching? Top-notch! There is always something to see, and it just adds to the personality and energy of the place. Great drinks, great food, great service, and an atmosphere that's completely its own. We loved the whole experience and will definitely be back. Very yummy and refreshing. Food: Steak Tacos, Carnitas Nachos and El Pollo Tacos, Queso and Chips Steak taco was a little bit chewy but the flavor was very good. The El Pollo Taco had great flavor and our friend who was eating this taco loves hot stuff so the owner brought over some hot sauce that they make in house and said friend said it was wonderful....I tried just an itty bitty taste and my mouth was burning...eeeeek!! My favorite was the carnitas nachos....so flavorful and I loved the pickled onions and black beans on the nachos. Queso was nice and thick and had a little kick to it. Chips came out warm and plenty in the basket for sharing. We ordered their Street Corn and Chips and ate that when we got back home and it was my all time favorite. Perfection!! I would drive over to their restaurant just to order the Street Corn and Chips to go. We will be back and we recommend 100PC!!
