The menu is kind of limited beyond the basic stuff. Crowded place when there's a big game. It's the story at basically any sports bar obviously. The other times it's not as bad even on weekends. It helps there's a ton of other bars around here. There's plenty of places a drink can go when in town. It's about $5 to get a well liquor. There's also a list of fancier cocktails if wanting a better one. It's about $9 for appetizers. The one we got was the Pretzel Sticks. Pretty simple item. There's also the usual fried things. Has good things about it. It's one of the many bars in town. The kitchen closes a couple hours earlier than the bar so get here early enough to place your orders for a game or for whenever.

Tin Roof is one of those unassuming places that most people just pass up. For sure it's not fancy. You might be able to catch live music. Cheap and rustic is an accurate way to talk about this bar. It's located outside a small town on the way to Starved Rock. The inside is bigger than it looks and apparently is a great place to listen to local bands or whoever. However most come to get boozed up and complain. It's about $5 for a basic mixer. Whiskey and whatever. Food is also pretty basic. Mostly fried things. It's about $5 to get a basket of Pretzel Bites. These are great to munch on between sips. Food menu is pretty uninteresting to be honest. There's also other fried things like jalapeño poppers and mini tacos. Got a few cheap cocktails and okay munchies out of it. It's located on Route 34 a bit west of Somonauk. The food here actually is shitty but whatever.

The vibe on a Friday or Saturday night is high energy, happening, and buzzing with lots of the friendly locals of the Joliet area. Come for the music played via "YouTube" music videos played on a big flat screen TV by request of the customers, the AMAZING HANDMADE CRAFT COCKTAILS, GREAT CRAFTY FOOD DISHES, and the overall ambiance of a1920's speakeasy yet situated in somewhat modern times.

For sure it's great if you like aviation. It's closed Mondays and only open for breakfast and lunch Sundays. They're open longer the rest of the week.

Clearly a local spot, but staff was nice and showed us to the outdoor seating area. We asked what was good on the menu and overwhelmingly she stated the chicken done anyway. Boy was she right. Top chicken tenders I've had! Juicy, crispy, large portions too. My husband got the half chicken which was an insane amount of food while another friend got the quarter chicken. Definitely recommend the quarter for one. Fries, tots, curly or waffle, all excellent. The salad was weak but to be understood. Great deals on hard seltzer 5/$15 and a huge Bloody Mary! Dropping stars because while the signs for wearing a mask are up, there was no evidence anyone even had a mask available. No sanitizer albeit the place seemed clean enough. Bathrooms were not ideal though. They did have stalls set up for the slots... I recommend getting takeout or coming back after covid goes away!

When is a Panini not a panini? Well, when it isn't a Panini…read more The name "panini" is given to a grilled sandwich made from any type of bread. That's what I was expecting when I ordered their roast beef pesto panini sandwich, with sweet potato fries. It arrived sans grill marks. Whatever. My wife went with their Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap. She really liked her Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap. I showed her my "panini" and asked here "Does this look like a panini to you?" Nope, it did not. Anyway, so what did the non-Panini Panini taste like? The roast beef wasn't bad, but it also wasn't good. It was like lunchmeat. The pesto flavor was very light. It was served hot, but I had to salt it because it was so bland. The sweet potato fries were tasty. They had an unlimited soup and salad bar. The soup was okay, the salad was shredded iceberg lettuce with lots of other things to drop on it. Service was a bit slow for lunch since the bartender was also the waitress. The mens room must have been cleaned - when I used it, there was no smell and the fixtures were clean. We were there during the dinner hour and there was plenty to choose from. Everything we ordered came in a timely manner, hot, fresh and as we ordered it. We ordered the combo appetizer platter it came with deep fried mushrooms, mozzarella cheese sticks, chicken strips and onion rings. One person ordered the chicken bacon pesto wrap and onion rings, one ordered the chicken strip meal with fries, and the last person ordered bacon cheeseburger meal with tater tots, all the meals came with the soup and salad bar. The soup that night was broccoli cheese and there was a nice variety of salad to choose to choose from. The prices were pretty average for the area.
